An Open Letter to the People of Brazil

As I read of the latest coup in Brazil, once again removing a democratically elected leader from power, my anger surged. Not again! However, as I see and read about the ongoing massive protests, as well as calls by prominent community leaders to mobilize in defense of your country's democracy, I feel great hope for Brazil. Having been a nonviolent activist for many years, I would like to support Brazilian activists to develop a nonviolent strategy that will increase your chances of success.
On 31 August 2016, the Brazilian elite executed a political coup to remove your democratically elected president Dilma Rousseff from office in a desperate attempt to halt corruption investigations in which they are clearly implicated. Behind the scenes, of course, the United States elite was heavily involved. With vast quantities of highly profitable fossil fuels, mineral and forest resources, as well as fresh water at stake, the US elite (and its allied elites) is not going to stand aside while Brazil and BRICS endeavour to create a more just world for at least some of its human inhabitants. Israel Planning Third Temple on Al-Aqsa Mosque Site?

It’s hard imagining Israel going this far, but who knows, given its longstanding persecution of Occupied Palestinians and its own Arab citizens - 20% of its population unwanted, treated like fifth column threats.
Al-Aqsa is sacred to Muslims worldwide, Islam’s third holiest site after Mecca's Sacred Mosque and the Mosque of the Prophet in Madina.
According to the International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC), “Israeli institutions and organizations are preparing to build the so-called ‘Third Temple’ in place of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and are waiting for a political decision to start, Israeli channels reported.”IMEMC said the scheme has “wide political and popular support.” Israeli television reported readiness to begin the project once an OK is gotten - expected to take three years to complete if undertaken.
An Israeli Channel 2 report last weekend said Women for the Temple are preparing materials needed to begin construction.
Obama Talks Peace in Syria While Waging War

Peace defeats America’s imperial objectives. Multiple US wars rage endlessly. Others await to be launched.
Syria is Obama’s war, naked aggression using ISIS and other terrorist groups as proxy foot soldiers - intending endless conflict to replace sovereign Syrian independence with pro-Western puppet governance.
In Hangzhou, China at the G-20 summit, Obama dissembled like he always does - on the one hand, saying Washington and Moscow may agree on ways to resolve Syria’s conflict and provide vitally needed humanitarian aid to desperate people.
On the other, he turned truth on its head, claiming Russia may breach terms agreed on - code language for it’s continuing to combat the scourge of US-sponsored terrorism.
There’s “no clear path forward,” he said. “It is a very complicated piece of business. These are difficult negotiations. We have grave differences with the Russians in terms of both the parties we support, but also the process that’s required to bring about peace in Syria.”
OK for US to Terror-Bomb Syria Illegally - Not OK for Russia to Combat Terrorism

Washington uses foreign airbases to terror-bomb Syrian hospitals, infrastructure and government targets, slaughtering defenseless civilians at the same time - on the phony pretext of combating ISIS it supports.
Russia heroically in involved in legitimately combating terrorism - from aerial missions conducted from Syrian territory and now from Iran in lieu of much longer distance flights from Russian territory. A previous article discussed it.
Deputy State Department spokesman Mark Toner falsely suggested Russian aerial operations from Iran’s Hamadan airbase perhaps violated UN Resolution 2231.
Amazing Media Self-Indictment

Rupert Murdoch’s New Corp-owned New York Post calls itself “America’s oldest continuously published newspaper,” founded in 1801 by Alexander Hamilton, today a far cry from its roots.
The Columbia Journalism Review earlier called it “no longer merely a journalistic problem. It is a social problem - a force for evil.”
It should have described all major US print and electronic media the same way - providing all propaganda rubbish all the time on issues mattering most, especially geopolitical ones and electoral politics.
They represent a collective shame of the nation, deplorable scoundrels, substituting presstitution for legitimate journalism.
On August 21, the Post amazingly headlined “American journalism is collapsing before our eyes,” saying: “The frenzy to bury Trump is not limited to the Clinton campaign and the Obama White House. They are working hand in hand with what was considered the cream of the nation’s news organizations.”
“The shameful display of naked partisanship by the elite media is unlike anything seen in modern America.”
Neocon Washington Post Anti-Trump Jihad

By now, Americans should be numb from outrageously one-sided anti-Trumpism compared to suppressing Hillary’s deplorable public record.
With two months before November’s election, things may get even uglier, media scoundrels perhaps intending an even greater push to get her anointed America’s next president.
The possibility should terrify everyone. Paul Craig Roberts calls her “certifiably insane.” For sure, she’s megalomaniacally driven, Roberts saying “she will take America to war with Russia - which means also China - and Iran.”
I share his justifiable fear, the risk of humanity-destroying war, Hillary comfortable about using nuclear weapons, our main survival threat.
FBI Continues Suppressing Hillary’s Crimes

Hillary’s longstanding criminal record since the 1990s would be more than enough to imprison ordinary people longterm - likely for life without parole or capital punishment for her involvement in mass murder.
Extraordinary lengths are made to keep indictable evidence from being revealed - the Justice Department and its FBI investigative agency complicit for failing to do their jobs.
On Friday afternoon, at the start of America’s three-day Labor Day holiday weekend, with no fanfare and too little media attention, an FBI press release said it “releas(ed) a summary of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s July 2, 2016 interview with the FBI concerning allegations that classified information was improperly stored or transmitted on a personal e-mail server she used during her tenure.”
The material was too heavily redacted to be useful, indictable evidence withheld from public view. The FBI failed to demand she be held accountable. The Justice Department refuses to indict her.
Neocon Washington Post Calls War Goddess, Racketeer Hillary “Exceptional”

I’ve written much about I call America’s scoundrel media - especially for supporting privilege over populism, US imperial wars, and deplorable one-sided coverage of this year’s presidential election, sacrificing even-handedness for blatant partisanship.
With few exceptions, media scoundrels support the most recklessly dangerous presidential aspirant in US history, acting as a collective press agent for what demands resounding opposition - waging a war of words on Trump, a daily pejorative blizzard, unparalleled in memory.
Given how viciously he’s attacked without letup, day in and day out, Hillary practically anointed pre-election, it seems all that’s left are postmortem comments. Independent historians one day will have final say - explaining the true measure of a woman belonging in prison, not high office.
Putin/Obama Meeting in China

Carefully worded diplomatic language following high-level Russia/US meetings conceal intractable positions on resolving conflicts in Syria and Ukraine.
Things are no closer now than earlier, regardless of public pronouncements. Washington wants its imperial agenda proceeding unobstructed, war its principle strategy of choice.
Years of Russia/US talks proved futile. Expect nothing different this time whatever is announced ahead. Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said his Monday meeting with Obama “lasted longer than planned,” discussions focusing mainly on Syria and Ukraine, resolving nothing.
Israel Attacks Syria

Israel is allied with Washington’s aim to destroy Syrian sovereignty, oust its democratically elected leader, install pro-Western puppet rule, partition the country, loot its resources, exploit its people and isolate Iran ahead of targeting its country the same way for the same purpose.
Since Obama launched war in March 2011, Israeli forces intermittently terror-bombed and shelled Syrian targets. Netanyahu actively supports ISIS and other terrorist groups, supplying arms, munitions and medical treatment for its wounded fighters.
Syria never once attacked or threatened Israeli territory. On Sunday, an errant shell, perhaps fired by US/Israeli-supported terrorists, landed in illegally occupied Golan, causing no damage or injuries.
