Ceasefire in Donbass?

February 16th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Minsk reflects pause, not cessation of conflict. Call it a relative calm before a greater storm.

Previous articles explained a durable, sustainable peace in Donbass is pure fantasy.

Two previous ceasefires were agreed on. Followed by partial cessation of hostilities, then resumption of full-scale conflict.

Will this time be different? It hard imagining how given events so far.

Nothing suggests Washington abandoned its intent for total control over Ukraine nationwide - by any means necessary, including full-scale war with US troops directly involved.

Kiev Breaches Minsk Agreement

February 15th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

It didn't surprise. Talks were futile. Kiev straightaway breached what it agreed to.

What it didn't intend observing in the first place. Even though ceasefire and other terms don't officially take effect until February 15.

At the same time, Russia and rebels are consistently blamed for Kiev crimes. Propaganda wars rage. Outrageous Big Lies substitute for hard truths. Western media scoundrels sunk to new lows, if that's possible, given their longstanding scandalous geopolitical misreporting.

Post-Minsk Russia Bashing

February 15th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

It doesn't surprise. Demonizing Russia is longstanding US policy. Presstitute media scoundrels march dutifully in lockstep.

Worse than ever now on Ukraine. Truth-telling obliterated by a daily blitzkrieg of Big Lies. A shocking display of media malpractice.

Progressive Radio News Hour guest Larry Pinkney justifiably calls their reporting "vomit." The good news is growing numbers of people reject it.

The bad news is most still accept what demands rejection. Irresponsible willful deception.

State propaganda masquerading as real journalism. Dangerous stuff driving things inexorably toward East/West confrontation. Like The New York Times headlining "US Faults Russia as Combat Spikes in East Ukraine."

The media is also culprit in the N. Carolina Triple murder

February 15th, 2015

By Khalid Amayreh in Occupied Palestine

Western, especially American, reactions to this week's cold-blooded murder of three innocent Muslim college students in North Carolina have been grossly inadequate.

Major American news networks, have, more or less, treated the monstrous crime as a passing banality. Critical questions that ought to be asked were never asked, which means the stage is set for the perpetration of the next act of murder targeting Muslims.

True, the alleged murderer was detained by the police. However, the American media was also culprit in this crime and bears an important part of the blame for its occurrence.

The unrelenting Islamphobic discourse, that we keep hearing and watching in the U.S., does make the perpetration of such a crime inevitable. It would be dishonest to claim otherwise.

What's Next in Donbas?

February 14th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

The familiar scent of betrayal clouds just concluded Minsk ceasefire talks. Like previous times when hope exceeded reality.

Donbas is Obama's war. Washington controls what's ongoing. It arms, funds, trains and directs Kiev's military.

Neocons making policy want war, not peace. Chances for ending conflict are virtually nil. Obama didn't wage war to quit.

Kiev violated last April's four-party agreement before the ink was dry. Hoped for peace was fantasy. A joint April 17 US/EU/Russia/Ukraine statement proved meaningless.

Al Qaeda’s Bookkeeper Spills the Beans

February 14th, 2015

Eric Zuesse

Zacarias Moussaoui was the bookkeeper for Al Qaeda, but the U.S. intelligence services have been keeping this fact secret as much as they can, because what he knows about the crucial financial backers of Al Qaeda can be very damaging to the U.S. aristocracy, which is heavily oil-based and closely allied with the Saudi royal family, which created Al Qaeda in order to please the Saudi clerics, who are Wahhabist Muslims who constantly threaten the royals with exposure of their economic and sexual corruption unless the royals finance the spread of the Wahhabist sect (such as by Al Qaeda), and thereby finance the spread of those clerics’ own international influence and power.

Or, so says the former bookkeeper of Al Qaeda, who was selected by Al Qaeda’s military chief, Abu Hafs (also known as “Mohammed Atef”), to serve Osama bin Laden in that capacity: Zacarias Moussaoui. This is his testimony, in brief.

Vaccine Induced Immune Overload

February 14th, 2015

By Gary G. Kohls, MD

Vaccine Induced Immune Overload and the Epidemic of Chronic Autoimmune Childhood Diseases: (Trading Temporary, Often-Self-Limited Infectious Diseases of Childhood for Permanent Vaccine-induced Chronic Illnesses That Last a Lifetime)

Most people in our vaccine-overloaded society knows of one or more families that have one or more children with chronic, supposedly incurable (but probably preventable) diseases that will need lifelong, regular, costly physician “management” and the highly probable use of potentially toxic, costly, synthetic, possibly dependency-inducing medications that can cause additional prescription drug-induced illnesses (that may further sicken the already-ill children).

Paris Killings Aftermath: War on Civil Liberties

February 14th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Civil liberties in America, Britain, France, and other Western societies are gravely threatened. Already seriously eroded.

Expect more assaults on fundamental freedoms ahead. Based on the usual canards.

Protecting national security. Defending free society rights. How by enacting police state laws against them?

According to a July 2010 ACLU report titled "Establishing a New Normal," Obama administration officials waged unprecedented war on civil liberties.

Continuing the worst Bush era practices. Adding more extreme ones. The ACLU discussed the following top 10 post-9/11 abuses of power:

(1) Warrantless Wiretapping

Donbas Conflict Resolution in Minsk?

February 14th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Around midday Minsk time Thursday, Putin announced a ceasefire agreement was reached. More on this below.

Previous efforts failed. Agreements last April in Geneva and Minsk in September were followed by continued conflict.

Washington and Kiev stooges it controls bear full responsibility. It's hard imagining something different this time.

Whatever is agreed on in principle or announced documents is meaningless without Obama calling off his dogs.

Ending the war he began. Including cutting off all military aid to Ukraine. Withdrawing US-led NATO forces close to Russia's borders.
