What kind of government establishes itself by force? What kind does it extrajudicially?
What kind of legitimacy do ultranationalist, xenophobic, neo-Nazi, anti-Semites have? What kind substitutes unrestrained coercion for rule of law principles? What kind rules by intimidation?
What kind eliminates all political opposition? What kind bans all opposition information and opinions? The same kind substituting fascist dictatorship for democracy.
On Saturday, Ukrainian freedom died. Fascist extremism replaced it. Coup plotters seized power. They did so extrajudicially. They began consolidating rule straightaway.
A previous article discussed it. Hardline extremists control parliament. An illegitimate temporary president was installed. New ministry heads were appointed.

Mary O'Grady a Wall Street Journal columnist. She's one of its editorial board members. She's a Rupert Murdoch favorite. She's a neocon propagandist. She defends the indefensible.
She masquerades as a journalist. Her reinvented history doesn't wash. It doesn't pass the smell test. Her background gives her away.
Earlier she worked for Advest, Inc., Thomson McKinnon Securities and Merrill Lynch. She's associated with the neocon Heritage Foundation.
She co-edits its so-called Index of Economic Freedom. It's what most people worldwide deplore.
She's a right-wing Liberty Fund (LF) board of directors member. It's an extremist over-the-top organization.
In his book "The Assault on Reason," Al Gore said judges attending its seminars and conferences "are generally responsible for writing the most radical pro-corporate, anti-environmental, and activist decisions."
JF and likeminded groups don't "provid(e) unbiased judicial education," he added.
"They are giving multi-thousand-dollar vacations to federal judges to promote their radical right-wing agenda at the expense of the public interest."

Imagine waging war on kids. Imagine doing it no-holds-bared. A joint Four Corners/The Australian broadsheet investigation discusses ruthless Israeli treatment.
Palestinian boys are targeted. Beatings, arrests, detentions and torture follow. More on it below.
In November 2011, the weekend Australian magazine headlined "Stone cold justice," saying:
"You hear them before you see them." You hear "a shuffle of shoes and a clinking of handcuffs and shackles."
Four boys look bewildered in an Israeli military courtroom. Palestinians are denied civil justice.
"They wear brown prison overalls..." They're treated like hardened criminals. Military injustice awaits them. Guilt by accusation follows.
A new "Stone Cold Justice" report updated the earlier one. Australian lawyer Gerard Horton is involved.
He's trying to help arrested Palestinian boys. Three are discussed. More on them below.

Congratulations, Mr. President. You're the latest in a long line of lawless leaders. You achieved rogue status without really trying.
Contempt for rule of law principles, duplicity and moral cowardice define your administration. Pretense otherwise doesn't wash.
Instead of improving lives for ordinary Americans, you created worse than ever conditions.
You more than ever made America a gangster state. Millions worldwide call it a pariah one. They do so for good reason.
You stole public wealth. You handed Wall Street crooks trillions of dollars. You gave war profiteers trillions more.
You impoverished millions. You left 100 million working-age Americans unemployed.
You ignore human need. Homelessness and hunger aren't your concerns.
You're systematically destroying middle class society. You're heading America on a fast track toward third world status. A second one toward full-blown tyranny.

Events continue fast moving. The Wall Street Journal headlined "White House Backs Political Change in Ukraine," saying:
"The Obama administration Saturday issued a cautiously worded statement about the swift political change in Ukraine, but generally endorsed the parliament's moves to set new presidential elections in May and to remove President Viktor Yanukovych from office."
European officials reacted the same way, said the Journal. They "backed the decisions of the parliament and rejected Mr. Yanukovych's allegations of a coup."
Britain officially recognized Ukraine's coup d'etat regime. Foreign Secretary William Hague said:
"Events in the last 24 hours show the will of Ukrainians to move towards a different future, and ensure that the voices of those who have protested courageously over several months are heard."

Fascists infest Ukraine's parliament. They gained majority control. They did so after dozens of pro-government legislators bolted the ruling Party of Regions.
They violated Friday's agreed on terms. They did so in league with Washington. They impeached President Viktor Yanukovych.
They ousted him. They declared him unconstitutionally unable to carry out his duties. They did so lawlessly. They usurped power. They called early May 25 elections.
Yanukovych justifiably responded:
"I am not planning to leave the country. I am the legitimate president and I am not going to resign."
"I'm trying to do everything so that there won’t be bloodshed. Now of the people who are close to me."

Former U.S. President and Nobel Peace Prize Winner Jimmy Carter has hailed Venezuela as having the best election process in the world. Unlike American elections, the winners in Venezuelan Presidential elections actually choose to take office. It is an example that would have changed America had Al Gore and John Kerry chosen to respect the will of the people who elected them in 2000 and 2004.

In addition to knowing what we oppose, we are building the world we want to see
February marks the third anniversary of the 2011 revolt in Wisconsin, the occupation of the state capital and mass protests against the attack on workers. Wisconsin was the largest of the protests at that time, but across the United States there were a series of protests against foreclosures, austerity and the unjust economy.
The Wisconsin uprising, along with the Arab Spring and Indignado movement in Europe, inspired Occupy, a revolt that began on Wall Street and spread across the nation. It was a revolt against an economic system – big finance capitalism – that is causing a corrupt and unfair economy; as well as against a government that serves the interests of the wealthiest before meeting the necessities of the people.

Far-right Ukrainian ultranationalists are fascist extremists. Washington provides support. Oleh Tyahnybok heads the neo-Nazi Svoboda party. It's allied with likeminded groups.
They openly display Stepan Bandera's Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-B) red and black flag.
He was a Nazi collaborator. He participated in mass executions and ethnic cleansing.
Svoboda's slogan is "Ukraine for the Ukrainians." Bandera said the same thing. He wanted Ukraine made ethnically pure. Mass extermination followed to do so.
Svoboda earlier called itself Socialist-Nationalists. It bears erie resemblance to Hitler's National Socialism. It reflects fascism writ large.

As things now stand, Obama won. EU partners won. Fascist extremists won. Russia lost.
So did ordinary Ukrainians. Months of struggling for something better apparently turned out in vain. More on this below.
Events remain fast-moving. Overnight negotiations produced an early Friday morning deal.
Talks lasted eight hours. Opposition leaders Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Oleh Tyahnybok and Vitali Klitschko were involved. So were Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Russian Human Rights ombudsman Vladimir Lukin, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
