When I recall the summer of 2001 and our last days of innocence before the 9/11 attack, I often think of Guy Clark's old song, "Like Desperadoes Waiting for a Train."
I remember the heartbreak of it vividly. That's because our team gave advance warnings about the 9/11 attack in precision detail. On command of my CIA handler, I also delivered threats to Iraqi diplomats at the United Nations of the consequence of War should Baghdad withhold actionable intelligence about the 9/11 conspiracy.
Throughout that hot summer, we understood exactly how 9/11 would play out— with airplane hijackings and a strike on the World Trade Center. We had a good idea of the timing. And we projected the use of a miniature thermo-nuclear device. Yet for all that we tried, we could not stop it. Forces had been set in motion. Responsive actions to our urgent appeals for help— which should have been automatic—got ignored.

The President tells us that we may not get our Social Security checks if Congress doesn't act. Obviously, he wasn't nurtured by the grannies who will revolt if they find that they must live on the streets and eat from other people's garbage cans because a flock of grown men haven't learned to act like adults. Many of you may remember the "singing Grannies" and the famed and sainted Granny Haddock who were so predominantly in the headlines during the Bush administration protests. If those checks are not in our respective banks or mailboxes on schedule, you will learn a lesson that your own grandmothers failed to teach you. "It isn't wise to piss off your Grandma!"

Little has changed from the time the reigns of power in the imperialist center have been transferred from George Bush senior to Bill Clinton and from George W. Bush junior to Barak Obama. During this time we had witnessed-during their collective rule- several horrific holocaust type events starting with Iraq and ending in Libya.
Between Clinton and Bush junior there was the death of an estimated 3 million Iraqis. Around half of which took place during the ruler-ship of the democrat Clinton through economic sanctions and another equal amount murdered during the ruler-ship of the republican George W. Bush junior through war and the occupation of Iraq. This of course not counting the number of Iraqis murdered at the hand of George Bush the father during the first gulf war.

Famed journalist George Seldes (1890 - 1995) condemned press prostitutes in books like "Lords of the Press," denouncing their corruption, suppression of truth, and news censorship before television reached large audiences, saying:
"The most sacred cow of the press is the press itself - the most powerful force against the general welfare of the majority of the people."

Mirage fighters, F16 fighters, B-2 Stealth bombers, 15,000 NATO air sorties. the bombing of thousands of civilian targets.. NATO is said to be coming to the rescue of the Libyan people. That is what we are being told.
Western journalists have quite deliberately distorted what is happening inside Libya. They have upheld NATO as an instrument of peace and democratization. They have endorsed an illegal and criminal war. They are instruments of US-NATO propaganda.
Global Research's Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya reporting from Tripoli refutes the media consensus which uphold's NATO's humanitarian mandate. He provides us with a review of the mass rallies directed against NATO including extensive photographic evidence. ~ Ed.

Largely ignored by Washington, Western governments, and America's media, the ruling Al Khalifa monarchy continues cracking down brutally against nonviolent protesters since civil resistance began last February.
On July 14, UK Telegraph writer Richard Spencer headlined, "Bahraini woman poet tells of torture while in custody," saying:
Incarcerated after reciting a poem critical of government policies, "Ayat al-Qurmezi (age 20) became one of the symbols of the (ongoing) protests....After she was arrested....she was beaten, electro(shocked) and threatened with sexual assault while in custody."

Buoyed by passage of their anti-boycott bill, Knesset Yisrael Beitenu and Likud party extremists taste blood and want more. Most worrisome is a proposed measure to investigate leftist group activities, heading for a final vote next week.
YNet News writer Moran Azulay quoted Meretz party chairwoman, Sahava Gal-On, calling it "a political inquisition," adding:
"The Boycott Law has whetted the appetite of the settler Coalition. This is an attempt at perpetuating the persecution of left-wing and civil organizations. What will be the next step? Sham trials? Throwing people into gulags?"

A previous article discussed it in detail, accessed through the following link:

Before and after its July 11 passage, critics called it outrageous, shameful, lawless, and anti-democratic. More on that below.
In contrast, Netanyahu praised the measure, saying he "authorized the bill. If I hadn't authorized it, it wouldn't have gotten here. I am opposed to boycotts against Israel and boycotts against groups within Israel."
