Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), the newest member of the House of Representatives” has introduced a bill that would create the Hate Flag Act of 2021 (H.R. 1619). The legislation would impose a fine of up to $10,000 and imprisonment of up to two years for the private display of either the battle flag of the Confederacy or the flag of the United States of America.
