Russian billionaire Oleg Tinkov agrees to pay $500 million to escape prosecution for US tax fraud

Oleg Tinkov founder of one of Russia’s largest private banks reportedly worth $8 billion reached a plea deal with US authorities and agreed to pay $500 million in a fraud case that accused him of concealing assets to evade taxes. ,Agreed to pay $506,828,377, penalty for civil fraud, and interest , Tinkov falsely reported income of $206,000 in a tax after getting $192 million from selling part of his majority shareholder stake when his bank went public.
