States hit hardest by the baby formula shortage revealed: More than 50% of products are out of stock at stores in Tennessee, Texas and Biden's home state Delaware - while 43% are missing from shelves nationwide
Tennessee is hardest-hit state, followed by Delaware and Texas, while Colorado, New Mexico and Indiana are least affected. Biden met with executives from several producers, plus leaders of Target and Walmart, to address the shortages, and is looking at bringing in imports from Mexico, Chile and the Netherlands. Frustrated parents, are resorting to driving around their states scouring stores and begging on online forums for help. Tennessee mother, Wynter Balthrop, said she 'went to six different stores, searched and called multiple others as far as three hours away and was not able to find one can or bottle of her formula..' Balthrop's daughter takes Enfamil's Nutramigen formula - a hypoallergenic variety.. Nutramigen is the only formula that her baby is able to tolerate,.generic one, made her sick.
