In a new interview on Bloomberg Markets, Hendry says mass panic and capital flight away from the US banking sector is entirely justified. Hendry says a further decline in the M2 money supply, which in part tracks money in liquid checking accounts, could convince the US government to step in and prevent citizens from taking their capital out of the banking system.
The Biden administration consulted with “leaders” at the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) prior to rolling out new rules that govern press passes, a White House source confirmed to the Daily Caller. | The White House released a new set of rules on May 5 for journalists to be credentialed with a “hard pass,” mandating reporters work for “an organization whose principal business is news dissemination.” The new rules also state journalists with access must act in a “professional manner” and not impede “events or briefings.” Repeated offenders would face the possibility of having their hard pass revoked. ● The WHCA — an organization committed to giving White House “access” to journalists — was initially reluctant to tell the Daily Caller whether they were involved with crafting the new policy. ● The White House revealed that the WHCA was indeed involved with creating a policy that includes, among other provisions, the potential for journalists to be booted from White House grounds.

Jankowicz previously served as the head of Biden’s now-defunct Disinformation Governance Board. | Jankowicz has now filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News in response to the negative reporting she received as she pushed to censor the American people. The suit accuses the network of engaging in a “malicious campaign of destruction.” ● After getting fired from her federal government role when her “Ministry of Truth” was shut down, Jankowicz had hinted that she was considering a lawsuit. Jankowicz’s lawsuit, filed in Delaware state court, claims that Fox News mentioned her over 300 times throughout 2022 in broadcast and online publications. She says the network’s hosts and commentators “spread lies” about her.

The Bring Julian Assange Home Parliamentary Group met with the US ambassador to Australia A cross-party group of Australian members of parliament met with the US ambassador to Australia on Tuesday and called for Washington to drop the charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, an Australian citizen. The delegation of lawmakers, known as the Bring Julian Assange Home Parlia-mentary Group, told US Ambassador Caroline Kennedy that there was broad support for Assange in the Australian Parliament. ● Independent MP Andrew Wilkie said in a statement that the lawmakers “impressed upon the Ambassador the broad support in the Australian Parliament for Mr. Assange, which was echoed clearly by both the Prime Minister and Opposition Leader last week when they said this matter had gone on long enough.” Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said last week that he was “frustrated” by the Biden administration’s continued efforts to extradite Assange. If he is convicted in the US, Assange faces up to 175 years in prison for publishing information related to the US wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
California California has launched a new hotline for residents to report "hate acts." | Last Thursday, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and the California Civil Rights Department announced the launch of CA vs Hate. Through the hotline, Californians will be able to snitch on their neighbors for committing "hate acts," which the service explicitly states do not always include violence. "A hate incident is a hostile expression or action that may be motivated by bias against another person’s actual or perceived identity," the website states. Some examples of "hate incidents," according to the website, are "refusing service," "derogatory name calling," and bullying. The new hotline, Newsom [a sociopath] explained, is "an unequivocal message that hate will not be tolerated" in California. [Yup, that's "name-calling." Report away!]
Writer E. Jean Carroll's accusations against Trump date back to the mid 1990s and allege the former US president sexually assaulted her in a dressing room at the Bergdorf Goodman department store in New York City. She first voiced the allegations in 2019. | A US jury has found that former US President Donald Trump is liable for defamation and sexual abuse in the E. Jean Carroll civil case. ● The Tuesday ruling outlined that while Trump did not commit rape, he was liable for battery in regards to Carroll's claim that the former commander-in-chief sexually abused her. ● The nine-member panel awarded the Carroll camp $2 million in damages; however, as the two-part filing also found Trump liable of defaming the writer when he claimed she made up the allegations, she was awarded an additional $3 million in punitive damages. ● Carroll's suit did not specify a dollar amount being sought for damages, leaving it up to jurors to decide on the total sum. ● The ruling, which came down after the jury deliberated for some three hours, settles just one of two lawsuits filed by Carroll against Trump. ● Shortly after news broke of the verdict, Trump blasted the jury's ruling as a "disgrace" and claimed it was yet another edition of the "greatest witch hunt of all time." "I have absolutely no idea who this woman is," Trump wrote in a Truth Social post. "This verdict is a disgrace." Earlier Tuesday, Trump indicated he would be taking legal action for what he perceived as an "unconstitutional silencing."

The Russian leader has accused Western powers of trying to build a system of 'robbery, violence and suppression' | Western elites have forgotten the consequences of the Nazis' "insane ambitions," Russian President Vladimir Putin has said during his Victory Day Parade speech on Red Square in Moscow. Russia believes "any ideology of superiority is by its nature disgusting, criminal and deadly," the president pointed out. "The globalist elites keep insisting on their exceptionalism; they pit people against each other, split societies, provoke bloody conflicts and coups, sow hatred, Russophobia and aggressive nationalism, destroy traditional family values that make human a human," Putin said. According to the Russian leader, all this is being done by the US and allies in order to "further dictate their will, their rights and their rules" and implement what is basically "a system of robbery, violence and suppression" on the international stage.

■ Immortal Regiment Parades Held Across Europe | On May 9, the annual Victory Day parade is taking place in Moscow’s Red Square. The parade marks the 78th anniversary of the Soviet victory over the Nazis in the Great Patriotic War. ● In his speech, President Vladimir Putin congratulated Russians on Victory Day, recalled the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and addressed the key ongoing events. The President emphasized that the civilization is now at a turning point. ● “A real war has once again been unleashed against our Motherland. But we have repulsed international terrorism, we will protect the inhabitants of Donbass, and we will ensure our security,” the president stressed. The Western elites talk about their exclusivity, play off people and provoke bloody conflicts, sow Russophobia and aggressive nationalism, Putin said. The President pointed out that the West is provoking conflicts and upheavals, destroying values in order to continue to dictate its own rules, and in fact a system of robbery and violence. At the same time, Russia’s opponents forgot who defeated the monstrous global evil. ● Desecration of the deeds and victims of the people that won that war is a crime and revanchism of those who were preparing a new campaign against Russia, Putin noted. Putin noted that the Ukrainian people became a hostage of the criminal regime supported by the West, a bargaining chip in their cruel and selfish plans. (kolozeg.org)

[Commentary By Victor Davis Hanson] The woke Left has now weaponized the country’s diplomatic missions abroad to advance highly partisan and controversial agendas that can offend their hosts, and do not represent the majority of American voters at home. | American foreign policy toward other nations seems now to hinge on their positions on transgender people, LGBTQ promotion, abortion, climate change, and an array of woke issues from using multiple pronouns on passports to showcasing transgender ambassadors. Do Americans really believe that embracing drag queen shows at military bases, abortion to the moment of birth, transgender men competing in women’s sports, and the promised effort to ban the internal combustion engine are effective ways to ensure good relations with the United States? No wonder the Biden administration’s new cultural imperialism is proving disastrous.

One angry parishioner said 'the church should not be promoting this' | A progressive Catholic church in New York City has divided churchgoers with a new art display declaring, "God is trans[gender]." The exhibit entitled "God is Trans: A Queer Spiritual Journey" was displayed next to the altar at the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle in Manhattan on Sunday. Three paintings depicted the "queer spiritual journey" as "sacrifice, identity and communion." One parishioner told the New York Post the church had gone too far in pursuing its liberal "agenda." "The church should not be promoting this," the unnamed person told the outlet. "I understand there are transgender people. I pray for all people but enough is enough. It seems like they are trying to force the agenda on others."

Tara Reade became a prominent figure in politics after she voiced accusations against then-candidate Joe Biden in 2019. Reade, who worked as a Biden aide from 1992 to 1993, was one of several women who accused the now-US president of sexual assault or harassment during the 2020 campaign season. | "I want to make something clear. If something happens to me, all roads lead to Joe Biden," Reade said in a Sunday tweet, which went on to accuse the US Department of Justice, FBI, Democratic National Committee and the US president of using “intimidation and bullying” in an attempt to silence her. "I am not suicidal. I should not be under investigation nor am I a foreign agent. I am a private citizen," she added, noting she was willing to testify under oath before Congress. The former Senate aid further noted: "The Biden corruption must end."
“The Big Catch-up” initiative, described by the World Health Organization as a “targeted global effort to boost vaccination among children following declines driven by the COVID-19 pandemic,” will last 18 months. | Warning that the world is less prepared for the next pandemic than it was prior to the spread of COVID-19, Chelsea Clinton — via the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) — along with the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation launched an initiative called “The Big Catch-up.” “The Big Catch-up” will last 18 months and, according to Clinton, aims to become “the largest childhood immunization effort ever,” Fortune reported. ● Clinton, who serves as vice chair of CHAI, last week presented the initiative at Fortune’s Brainstorm Health Conference in Marina del Rey, California. ● One day earlier, under the auspices of World Immunization Week, the WHO introduced “The Big Catch-up,” describing it as a “targeted global effort to boost vaccination among children following declines driven by the COVID-19 pandemic.”

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence has set up a body to counter foreign ‘disinformation’ | The US has established a Foreign Malign Influence Center to address foreign threats to elections as well as the “public opinion” within the country, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines revealed in a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing on Thursday. ● Operating under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the FMIC has access to “all intelligence possessed or created pertaining to foreign malign information, including election security.” Its director, Jeffrey Wichman, was formerly chief of analysis for the CIA’s Counterintelligence Mission Center. ● For the agency’s purposes, ‘foreign’ means originating in Russia, Iran, China, North Korea, or “any other foreign country that the Director of the Center” deems appropriate, while ‘foreign malign influence’ is defined as “any hostile effort undertaken by, or at the direction of, or on behalf of or with the substantial support of,” one of the named countries in order to influence, covertly or overtly, US government or state policy or the “public opinion within the United States.”

With China involved, serious negotiations could begin by the end of the year, "the elder statesman" said | Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger has told CBS News that the conflict in Ukraine may be approaching a turning point, and that Chinese-brokered peace talks could begin by the end of 2023. ● "Now that China has entered the negotiation, it will come to a head, I think by the end of the year," the 99-year-old diplomat told CBS in an interview broadcast on Sunday. By that time, he continued, "we will be talking about negotiating processes and even actual negotiations." ● With the release of its ‘Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis’ in February, China put itself forward as a potential mediator between Moscow and Kiev. The Chinese plan was rejected outright by the US and EU, while Russian President Vladimir Putin described some of its 12 points as “in tune” with Moscow’s position, and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky welcomed only a handful of its points, but maintains that Kiev will not compromise with Russia in any way.
US presidential candidate lawyer Robert Kennedy Jr, who is the nephew of the 35th US president John F. Kennedy, has said in an interview that the country's Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was involved in the 1963 assassination of the head of state. | "There is overwhelming evidence that the CIA was involved in his murder. I think it’s beyond a reasonable doubt at this point," the US media quoted him as saying while referencing James Douglas' book, "JFK and the Unspeakable". ● According to Kennedy Jr, the US intelligence agency was not only involved in the assassination but also in "the cover-up" of the crime. ● Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas on November 22, 1963. An investigation determined that the assassination was carried out by Lee Harvey Oswald, who acted alone as stated in The Warren Commission Report of 1964. Oswald was shot dead two days after being apprehended. For more than half a century there have been numerous theories about who might have benefit

Tucker Carlson is preparing to unleash allies to attack Fox News in an effort to bully the network into letting him work for — or start — a right-wing rival, sources close to him tell Axios. | Bryan Freedman, the high-powered Hollywood lawyer Carlson retained for the contract dispute, told Axios: "The idea that anyone is going to silence Tucker and prevent him from speaking to his audience is beyond preposterous." Why it matters: Tucker vs. Fox could reshape the conservative news world. Fox, which has seen its ratings plunge in Carlson's slot since he was let go 13 days ago, wants to sideline him by paying him $20 million a year not to work. The intrigue: Axios has learned Carlson is busy plotting a media empire of his own. But he needs Fox to let him out of his contract, which expires in January 2025 — after the presidential election. We're told Carlson has been contacted by outlets — including the right-wing Rumble and Newsmax — that offered to pay him more than his Fox contract. Behind the scenes: Axios has learned that Carlson and Elon Musk had a conversation about working together, but didn't discuss specifics. Carlson confidants say he also is contemplating building a direct-to-consumer media outlet where his millions of fans could pay to watch him. Carlson's predecessor in his Fox slot, Bill O'Reilly, created a blueprint for this. Two days after being booted, Carlson teased in a Twitter video posted at 8 p.m. ET, counter-programming his former show: "See you soon." The two-minute video has racked up 24 million views. State of play: The ousted host "knows where a lot of bodies are buried, and is ready to start drawing a map," said a Carlson source who wasn't authorized to speak publicly.
