China has been expanding its nuclear arsenal “faster than any other country” in recent months, an annual report by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) has claimed. Beijing has supposedly added 90 warheads to its inventory since January 2023. The document does note, however, that other nuclear-armed nations have also been modernizing their weapons of mass destruction and ramping up the number of operational nuclear warheads at their disposal. According to the SIPRI report published on Sunday, the US and Russia are by far the largest nuclear powers, possessing nearly 90% of the world’s nuclear weapons.

As reported on this site earlier today, the President of Poland publicly proposed the forcible break-up of Russia into "200 ethnic states." He did this in Switzerland in front of 78 other countries attending the "Peace Conference" for Ukraine. So that's 78 countries against Russia . . . i.e. "world war." This idea of breaking-up Russia was first proposed by Gunther Fehlinger, Chairman of the Austria NATO non-governmental organization (NGO) of Austria, in April of 2023 (Original Story Here). His idea called for breaking-up Russia into 41 separate countries, and he was traveling here in the United States at the time (Hudson Institute in Manhattan) to push his idea. He even created a "map" showing how he envisioned Russia being broken apart. [Image to the right] At the time, I thought his idea was so ridiculous as to be laughable. Now, I see it has gained official traction, with the President of Poland formally proposing to 78 other nations at the ongoing Switzerland "peace conference" that Russia be divided not into 41 countries, but into 200 ethnic countries. Gunther Fehlinger's idea has not only gained traction, it has gotten far worse!

The West and particularly the US are to blame for the crisis, the Russian president insists | The tragic events currently unfolding in Ukraine started with the US-backed 2014 coup d’etat in Kyiv, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, stressing that the West is to blame for the conflict. Putin was speaking with heads of international news agencies on Wednesday, on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
💬 “Everyone [in the West] believes that Russia started the war in Ukraine. But no one – I want to emphasize this – no one in the West, in Europe, wants to remember how this tragedy began,” the president said, responding to a question by a German journalist. The Russian leader pointed out that everyone seems to have forgotten how the foreign ministers of Poland, Germany, and France arrived in Kyiv and signed the Minsk agreements as guarantors of peacefully resolving the crisis in Ukraine. These countries now prefer not to remember this, instead, they decided to resolve the conflict by use of arms against civilians in Eastern Ukraine, Putin said.
