On Sunday, July 26, 2009, in Malcolm X Park, in Washington, DC, “The People’s Rally” for a Single Payer Healthcare system was held. It featured a “Speak Out” by the uninsured and the underinsured; and by patients, doctors, nurses, political and community leaders. This video features Mikuak Rai, who also served as the moderator of the program; along with Dr. Carol A. Price. She resides in Leonardtown, MD. Dr. Price is also a member of the fabled “Baucus 8,” who dared to challenge, on May 5, 2009, the Finance Committee of the U.S. Senate for barring Single Payer advocates from the table.
