There shall be no occupation in the land of Palestine

2009 years ago, like these days, the wise men, guided by the Bethlehem star were to know that Jesus will be born. A new history has begun with the hope that lightness win over darkness. Last year, like these days when hundreds of millions of Christians around the world were celebrating the Christmas by chanting peace on earth, Israel launched one of its most deadly attacks on the besieged Gaza, the most populated area on earth, the majority of its population are the victims of the cleaning war of 1948. Isreal, did not listen to the voices coming from Gaza such as the voice of the father shown on Al Jazeera carrying his 3 and 5 years old murdered babies shouting in Hebrew to war lord Ehud Barak “Barak Barak why you killed my babies, they did nothing to you”. Neither had Israel heard the voices of Millions around the world demanding Israel to stop the genocide.

Today one year after the Gaza genocide Palestinians and Justice lovers heard good news that livni, one of the war engineers was about to be arrested in London following a British warrant. The immediate reaction of Palestinians and justice lovers around the world was of great joy.

Naturally Palestinians were disappointed to know she ran away from London after she knew she might be arrested. The Zionist anger was awesome and the statement issued by the Israeli foreign department represents the standard Zionist hypocracy,”Israel which stand in the front line to protect the west against terror must be valued, not punished”. But, the reality which the whole world knows, that the Zionist state is practicing terror against a whole nation. In addition, the west owes Israel nothing, the contrary is true, and without the western support there would have been no Israel and consequently no conflict in the Middle East.

However the message which the British justice system has sent to Israel must be the model for all courts in Europe and the whole world.

But it is obvious that Israel has already launched a campaign against Britain threatening it of depriving it in the contribution of a peace process that does not even exist. The threat in is empty if not to say redicious. The worrying thing is the British foreign minister who said that Britain will study to change the law which enables war criminals to be judged in British courts. If Britain does not stand to defend its legal system, if Britain surrenders to the Zionist pressures, Britain will lose much of its reputation and credibility. European judges and courts need to know that in putting Zionist war criminals behind bars they are saving the lives of thousands of Palestinian and Lebanese children who would be the victims of the next wars. What also must be remember that the war on Gaza has not stopped, Gaza is still under siege and hundreds of thousands in Gaza has not built their homes due to the Zionist siege which prohibit bringing in construction material to the Gaza strip.

The important lesson in the Livni run away is that the period of escaping justice has gone as Judge Goldstone said in his inquiry mission which found Israel guilty in crimes against humanity. European courts needs to follow the British example and to work together to resist the predictable Israeli pressure to change the international mandate of these courts. And since we are in the Christmas, chanting peace on earth is good, but to make peace a reality, Zionist war lords must sit behind bars to assure Palestinian kids that it is Santa clause that will bring them presents and not war lord Ehud Barak and his deadly phosphoric bombs.

These days are hope bringing days: Zionists with the blood of the Palestinian babies on their hands are running from justice. The voice of the shepherds coming this time from all over the world towards Bethlehem and towards Gaza to witness the decline of darkness and the birth of lightness. They are those anti occupation activists, justice lovers, peace lovers, hope lovers and life lovers. And despite the ugly walls made by the enemies of peace and humanity, the crowds of shepherds are approaching in the heart of darkness; guided by the star of their conscious, carrying each a candle of hope to the occupied people of Palestine. The message of the shepherds is clear; there shall be no occupation, in the land of Palestine.

  • Feminism was once a revolutionary force, a creed born out of struggle, resilience, and the dream of a world much different from what we had been given. It was born from the pain of millions of women working, poor, Black, Indigenous, women of color who refused to take the world as it was. And yet, today, feminism is an idea manipulated, diluted, commodified, and often controlled by those very forces that it initially came into being to dismantle from the military-industrial complex to corporate media giants; feminism today hardly resembles its initial mission of radical social transformation. This has happened because things are ingrained in how our media landscape rolls along. We hardly notice how forces remake feminist discourse into more palatable, consumer-friendly, and politically neutral forms. The corporations that run the media, the intelligence agencies that shape public opinion, and the political powers that remain in control have combined a grand symphony of influence that has redefined feminism, replacing its radical edges with a glittering but hollow vision of empowerment. It is time to reclaim the radical roots of feminism to inspire a new generation of activists to fight for real change.
