Kourosh Ziabari
Adnan Oktar, internationally known by his pen name Harun Yahya, is a Turkish public intellectual, writer and speaker. He is a proponent of Islamic creationism and anti-Zionism. He condemns Zionism and denounces Darwinism as the source of terrorism. He runs the Turkey-based Science Research Foundation and Foundation to Protect National Values. He has written numerous best-selling books including "The Atlas of Creation", "The Muslim Way of Speaking", "Allah's Miracles in the Quran" and "The Errors the American National Academy of Sciences". Yahya's books have been translated in more than 20 languages.
He has been interviewed by several international media outlets, newspapers, TV channels and online magazines including Catholic Radio International, Russia's Pravda, Qatar's Aljazeera, Tehran Times, Saudi Arabia's Arab News and Swedish National Radio.
Here is the complete text of interview with Mr. Yahya in which the latest developments of the Middle East, Israel's war threats against Iran, the prospect of Iran-Turkey relations and the ordeal of Palestinian nation under the Israeli oppression have been discussed.
Kourosh Ziabari: Dear Mr. Yahya; is the Israeli regime, in your view, militarily capable of launching an attack against Iran? What would be the consequences of striking Iran for Israel?
Harun Yahya: We are now living in the End Times, in the age of Hazrat Mahdi (AS). Our Prophet (PBUH) has told us about all the events that will take place during this time in great detail. There will be no great war after this time. The movement of the Dajjal wants bloodshed in the Middle East, but, by Allah's leave, we will not permit it. There can be no question of Israel attacking Iran, or Iran attacking Israel. Any attack against innocent people with no true justification is unlawful according to the Torah. Every Jew who obeys the rulings of the Torah is also obliged to abide by Allah's commandment, “Thou shall not murder.” No matter how much certain circles in Israel favor conflict, bloodshed and disorder and no matter how these circles sometimes prevail, it is obvious that the great majority of Israel will not accept a physical attack on such a large and powerful country as Iran.
We know what the real aim is of those who want to set Jews and Muslims against one another, and we have exposed their sinister tricks. So neither Iran nor Israel will fall for them. It is therefore essential for Jews and Muslims who genuinely believe in Allah, who love the Prophets, who believe in the Books He sent down and who know that the Hereafter exists to form an alliance against irreligion, Darwinism, atheism and materialism. Atheists and Darwinists easily ally themselves around their own beliefs and try to crush believers, whatever their faith, with all their might. It is extraordinary how people who love Allah and want the moral values commanded by Him to prevail are unable to form an alliance while the alliance between Darwinists and materialists seeks to drown the world in blood. When true believers are allied they will obviously totally neutralize those who want war. It is therefore essential that our devout Iranian and Israeli brothers should treat one another with affection, love and understanding and wage a great intellectual struggle against irreligion, materialism and Darwinism using knowledge, science and culture. When that happens, nobody will be able to speak of war, assault, fighting or conflict.
Kourosh Ziabari: In the case of an Israeli attack against Iran, what would be the reaction of the Islamic world? In particular, what is your estimation of Turkey's possible response in case of an Israeli attack against Iran?
Harun Yahya: I do not believe Israel will choose to do such a thing. True, devout Jews in Israel will not permit such an attack either. Turkey's policy has always been to support justice, the rightful and the innocent. But there is an important phenomenon to be noted here. Dajjal is trying to set Muslims and Jews, who are actually brothers and who are all descended from the Prophet Abraham (AS), against one another. It aims for the destruction of both Jews and Muslims. It is very important to expose the movement of the Dajjal and neutralize it, insha'Allah.
Kourosh Ziabari: Why doesn't the international community take effective, practical steps to stop the unlawful actions of Israel such as the collective punishment of the Palestinian people, building illegal settlements on Palestinian lands and destroying the Palestinian constructions, mosques, schools and homes?
Harun Yahya: The only way for the suffering of our Palestinian brothers to come to an end is for the Islamic world to be united and act as one. So long as Muslims are not united around a spiritual leader, neither Palestine, nor Iraq, nor East Turkistan nor Afghanistan can be freed. Sanctions by international bodies, punishments and the like will change nothing. You have seen that over the years. Many decisions have been taken against Israeli actions, and what have they changed? There is terrible oppression going on under the influence of a handful of atheist Zionists in Israel, not only of our Palestinian brothers, but of devout Christians and Jews, as well. There is only one thing for those who want that oppression to end to do, and that is to mobilize all their resources for the establishment of Turkish-Islamic Union. When the Islamic world of 1.5 billion people is united, no harm will befall a hair on the head of a single Muslim anywhere in the world, insha'Allah. But Turkish-Islamic Union will mean salvation for all mankind, not just Muslims, because it will be the system in which the moral values of the Quran are fully applied. It will be a union based on love, affection, beauty, art, science and democracy, and Jews, Christians, Buddhists and atheists will all be treated as first-class human beings under its roof. Everyone will be free to speak his mind and perform his religious obligations. In the same way that love and justice governed in the time of our Prophet (PBUH), and in the same way the People of the Book lived at ease and Muslims enjoyed well-being and security, so it will be again when Turkish-Islamic Union is established, insha'Allah.
Kourosh Ziabari: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has recently called for an international action to bring to an end the lawlessness of the Zionist regime. What efforts should an international movement include in order to hold Tel Aviv accountable for the crimes its commits?
Harun Yahya: I have set this out many times before. Telling someone who has made oppressing others his life's work "have pity on us, and please stop" will have no effect at all, and may even encourage him still further. Our Muslim brothers are following a wrong path here. They say the international community should take action, but would not a comprehensive solution that does not require action from the international community be better? Instead of asking Israel not to engage in unlawful actions, would it not be better to build an environment in which Israel would never dare do such things? Just imagine, if the Islamic world of 1.5 billion people were coalesced around a spiritual leader, if they were to act as a military, cultural and economic giant, would Israel or any other country dare to adopt such policies? It would never even cross their minds or enter their heads. They would display huge respect for our Palestinian brothers and devout Jews and Christians. There would be nothing for the international community to intervene over. It will be possible to neutralize those who seek bloodshed, ruthlessness, murder and oppression with the founding of Turkish-Islamic Union under the spiritual leadership of Hazrat Mahdi (AS). Of course, Hazrat Mahdi (AS) will neutralize them with love, affection, culture, art and science. He will save them from their errors. He will protect them, too. He will lead them to the true path, too, insha'Allah.
Kourosh Ziabari: What roles can Turkey play in order to isolate the Zionist regime politically, culturally and economically? How can Turkey assume leadership in an international movement against the illegalities of the Israeli regime?
Harun Yahya: Isolating Israel and forcing it into solitude is no solution. It is not compatible with the Quran and the Sunnah either. We are looking at an unjust practice and mistaken policy on the part of a few Godless, irreligious, atheist Zionists who do not abide by the Torah. But there are also many devout Jews and Christians. There are many innocent women, children and elderly people. It is incompatible with good conscience to force all these people into isolation and condemn them to conditions in which they cannot survive. We will be their savior and protector too, insha'Allah. The People of the Book are entrusted to us by the Prophets Moses (AS) and Jesus (AS). We will ensure they live in the best manner. We will shelter them in the finest way, the same way that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) treated them with justice and affection and that Hazrat Omar (AS) watched over and protected them. We do not want Israel to be destroyed, wiped off the map, impoverished or to have its resources limited. We just want an end to atheist Zionist oppression. That will be possible through an intellectual struggle against irreligion, atheism, materialism and Darwinism.
Kourosh Ziabari: How do you estimate the growing relations between the two brother nations of Iran and Turkey? How can these two countries shape a powerful coalition against the bullying superpowers and their colonies such as Israel?
Harun Yahya: Iran is Turkey's long-time friend. We love our Iranian brothers as we do ourselves and will never permit them to face difficulties or problems. We will protect and watch over them as we do ourselves. For Iran and Turkey to be allied in love, affection and peace would be to the benefit of the entire region. For two great and powerful countries to act together to establish the well-being, peace and security of mankind will be a huge blow to the movement of the dajjal. A just, compassionate and loving alliance that excludes none, and supports right instead of might, will bring great ease and comfort, not just to Islamic countries, but to all the nations in the region and people of all beliefs. I want to tell my brothers once again that I love and value my Iranian brothers very highly. We are in the age of Hazrat Mahdi (as). Hazrat Mahdi (as) is a blessed individual descended from our Prophet (PBUH) and started work, as the Prophet (PBUH) says, in the Hijri 1400s. Hazrat Mahdi (as) is at work now. We will also see the Prophet 'Isa (as) in the next 10 to 20 years, insha'Allah. I say these things on the basis of the sayings of our Prophet (PBUH). All the portents of the End Times foretold by our Prophet (PBUH) have come about. We will soon see other glad tidings, the global dominion of the moral values of Islam, insha'Allah. It is therefore very important, in such a climate, to keep to the path shown by our Prophet (PBUH). It is most important to seek Hazrat Mahdi (as), strive to be his supporter, forerunner and follower, to wage a cultural struggle against irreligion and Darwinism in order to support his struggle, to strive to improve love and friendship among Muslims and to strive to sincerely live by Quranic moral values. Allah's promise is a true one, and Allah will never break His promise. By His leave, we will all witness the promise of the global dominion of Islamic moral values come true in the next 10 to 20 years, insha'Allah
