If this were a horror movie, it would be a Holiday Blockbuster.
But it’s not a film, it’s your life. And if you want to see how it ends, it can be summed up in two words: Codex Alimentarius.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably one of the 3 Billion – that’s BILLION, with a “B” – people projected to die of curable diseases in the first few years of implementation. At the risk of spoiling the ending, the plot, so to speak, goes as follows:
Codex Alimentarius (Latin for “Food Code”), is a dark marriage between pharmaceutical and chemical industries and the WTO, conceived to exact complete and regimented control over all food products and nutrients worldwide. Codex is a complex, global, inter-governmental program, written by Big Pharma, policed by the UN, and consisting of 170 member nations, the United States among them.
And it will mandate every bite you take.
Enacted in 1963, it was the brainchild of the joint Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and World Health Organization (WHO) Food Standards Program of the UN. Conceived as a trade commission, its original objective was “protecting the health of consumers and ensuring fair practices in international food trade.” While its initial intentions may have been altruistic, the practical applications attest that altruism has a brief shelf life, now that all Global Food Standards will be decided by the pharmaceutical, pesticide, chemical and biotechnology industries that are at the helm.
From farm to fork, companies like Monsanto and Baxter will have complete authority over our food supply in an all-out Global Assault on Health.
According to Dr. Paul Anthony Taylor "all member nations of Codex Alimentarius must abide by the draconian food laws dictated by this organization, or suffer severe economic penalties. Since Codex Alimentarius is backed by trade sanctions of the World Trade Organization (WTO), any non Codex-compliant nation will automatically lose in any food-trade dispute with a Codex compliant country." Bottom line: their terrifying Food Laws, prioritized by the economic concerns of Big Pharma, are about to become our nutritional nightmare. To further infect the corpse of health, Codex Alimentarius operates on Napoleonic Law, as opposed to Common Law. Common Law dictates that if it isn’t illegal, it’s legal. Napoleonic Law dictates that if it isn’t listed as legal, it’s illegal. In other words, anything that isn’t specifically sanctioned by Codex Alimentarius is illegal.
So what’s on the menu? Let’s start with what’s not on the menu, beginning with nutrients. Under the Napoleonic laws of Codex Alimentarius, nutrients are classified as toxins, and have no place in Health. You read that correctly. Over 350 vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements will be Illegal. BANNED. NOT AVAILABLE ON THIS CONTINENT. What will be left of the few allowable vitamins will only be available in extremely low doses. The dosages will be WELL BELOW therapeutic levels (ie .05 mg rather than 100 mg), and will be available only by prescription, since they’ll now be classified as a Drug. A prescription for a bottle of Vitamin C is expected to run as high as $150.
An interesting conflict of interest is evident in that Big Pharma will mandate what you eat, classify it as a drug, and compel its acquisition only by prescription!
Dr. Taylor laments "by declaring nutrients toxins and putting them under Codex control, no one will have access to vitamins, minerals, natural substances, supplements, or current staples of alternative health, leaving only expensive pharmaceuticals available for treating diseases." Don't believe it can happen? Try buying a bottle of Vitamin C in Italy!
Gradually, pill-by-pill, our access to the dietary supplements we depend on will disappear, and new supplements will be banned unless given Codex testing and approval (projected to be prohibitively expensive and lacking in scientific merit). In Germany and Norway, where the new Codex regulations are already underway, the price of zinc tablets has gone from $4 to $52 a bottle. Echinacea has risen from $14 to $153.
Don’t think this will happen here? Google Codex Alimentarius and Nutrients, and prepare to be shocked.
This new regulation will accomplish several objectives: (1) It will pour millions of dollars into the already bloated pockets of the drug companies. (2) Lacking the vitamins, the maladies of the people will increase and they will need more drugs. (3) Physicians and hospitals will have more patients to treat and profit from.
Wheat grass shots, chamomile tea to help forget a lousy day at work, vitamin E to help you heal faster- gone! Investigating and sharing information about vitamins that protect against cancer—illegal!
Advertising is Ver Botin under Codex Alimentarius.
Why? Nutrients will be declared toxins. Off limits. And therefore, passing Information about them will be a crime. All advice on nutrition (including online or journal articles or oral advice to a friend, family member or anyone) will be illegal . You won’t even be able to blog about it, since any advertising, outside of codex compliant labeling, is illegal and can result in heavy fines and imprisonment.
Technically, writing this article is an illegal act.
Under Codex, the only products that can make claims relating to the prevention, alleviation, treatment, and cure of disease are Codex-compliant pharmaceutical drugs. Who benefits from the prohibition on health claims? The pharmaceutical industry and the FDA, who receives vast sums of money from pharmaceutical companies in return for issuing drug licenses.
Alternative medicine? Homeopathic is a word your grandchildren will never hear.
Chances are, if it’s saving your life now, you can kiss it goodbye very shortly, along with your freedom to make decisions regarding your own health options.
According to thousands of world-wide studies, a large percentage of the population will die, within a few short years, of diseases developed nations haven’t seen in centuries, due simply to the inability to access the bare minimum therapeutic doses of vitamins and minerals. Yesterday’s horrific diseases, such as scurvy, rickets, berri berri, pelagra and many others, are about to make a huge comeback.
So what is on the menu?
There are currently over 300 known poisons, renamed “food additives,” which have been approved as “safe,” and will no longer be required to be listed on the label. These are mainly pesticides and synthetic toxicants; among them are toxic levels of Fluoride (3.8 mg daily) developed from environmental waste, aspartame, BHA, BHT, potassium bromate, tartrazine, etc. Codex also literally allows “significant residue” of over 3275 different pesticides, including known carcinogens and endocrine disruptors, ie 4-D, atrazine and methyl bromide, again without labeling.
In May of 2005, the Stockholm Convention, signed by 176 countries including the United States committed the signatories to eliminate the world's twelve most dangerous Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). According to Dr.Rima Laibow, "these are compounds that are so deadly, no one can dispute they don't belong in our food supply." Codex is about to bring back SEVEN of them.
Dr. Laibow explains "Codex allows seven of the twelve agreed upon killer POPs to be used in the production of foods as varied as milk, soy oils, cotton seed, citrus fruits, eggs, poultry, cereal grains, pineapples, leafy and root vegetables, legumes and others."
Since the folks behind Codex feel that “world food requirements cannot be met without global implementation of genetically modified food,” by law, every bite we take – whether seed or steer – will be genetically modified, stuffed with dangerous Growth Hormones and irradiated. Even Organic food labeling standards “will be relaxed” to allow the use of those hidden, toxic ingredients.
WHAT DOES CODEX CONSIDER ILLEGAL?
In Canada, Bill C-51, which will HARMonize with Codex, has been written by the same Big Pharma companies and represents the same pharmaceutical plan to take over nutrients. C-51 goes so far as to redefine "sell" to mean "distributing to one, two or more people even without consideration," making sharing, giving or donating a "sale."
Giving chamomile to your child can now be re-defined as selling a controlled substance to a minor. Indoor or private home gardens – illegal (the Food Safety Modernization Act is the Death Knell for Private Gardening). Under Codex, growing herbs becomes a crime, and anyone caught doing so can be charged as a drug dealer. The penalties in Bill C-51 can be as high as 5 million dollars and 2 years in prison for producing, taking or "selling" vitamin C.
WHO’s watching your food?
WHO, like the federal Reserve, is not a government entity, but a private organization. Last year, the European Parliment unanimously voted to do a full investigation into WHO's role in the swine flu hoax, and their subsequent financial benefits, after a WHO internal document surfaced which discusses controlling the world's population through questionable means and practices.
The World Health Organization, and corporate entities from pesticide and Big Pharma represent the committees that will decide, enact and enforce our terrifying new food guidelines. Small wonder then why an over priced bottle of Vitamin C will require a prescription and has been reclassified as a drug! Monsanto & Baxter, who will benefit from both sides of this monstrosity, will police your every bite. Monsanto now has a patent on every seed that will be harvested in the future (they’ll be Genetically Modified, as that’s the only way they can be patented). And our buddies at Baxter were recently busted exporting HIV contaminated medicine to three other countries after the FDA insisted they couldn’t sell it here. They’re now being sued for the illnesses and deaths of over 5000, mostly hemophiliac children, in Europe.
Saving Us From Our Toxic Nutrients
The Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU), is chaired by Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, a physician who believes, and has stated publicly, that nutrition is not relevant to, and has no role in health! This is the top czar for the Codex nutritional policy.
Dr. Grossklaus actually declared nutrients to be toxins in 1994 and instituted the use of toxicology (Risk Assessment) to prevent nutrients from having any impact on humans who take supplements! It’s not insignificant that Dr. Grossklaus happens to own the Risk Assessment company advising CCNFSDU and Codex on this issue. An atrocious conflict of interest, our new vitamin czar’s company will make money when its toxicology services are used for the assessment of nutrients.
Our legislature is about to throw the baby out with the bath water because they don’t understand the complexities of this issue, and big Pharma bucks have been thrown at the media circus spotlighting a few bad supplemental apples like Hydroxycut (never mind how many people have died from Xanax!)
DSHEA, our Knight in Dented Armor
Our only protection is DSHEA, the Dietary Supplement, Health and Education Act of 1994. And it’s fighting for its life in Congress. DSHEA was passed when 2.5 million ordinary citizens, in a grassroots campaign, wanted to make sure dietary supplements such as herbs, vitamins, minerals and other food-based supplements could stay on the over-the-counter market. The campaign to create this law began when a 1992 FDA task force published a report announcing the FDA’s desire to remove these products from the shelves, since they represented a “disincentive for patented drug research.”
By 2002, thanks to the enactment of DSHEA, more over-the-counter nutritional supplements than pharmaceutical drugs were being sold.
The idea of the DSHEA law was twofold:
1. DSHEA was to make a clear distinction between FOOD (which is considered generally safe and did not need to have permission from the FDA to be allowed
on the market) and DRUGS (which are generally toxic, potentially deadly, and in need of lengthy evaluation before they were available to the public under prescription from a doctor).
2. DSHEA provided the FDA with plenty of legal authority to remove herbs or dietary supplements from the market, providing the agency has real evidence of harm to the public. The FDA also had the authority to limit the amount of a supplement to low levels if the agency found evidence
proving higher levels were actually dangerous.
DSHEA, the only thing that can save us from the draconian laws of Codex Alimentarius, is our knight in dented armor, and is currently getting its butt kicked. Big Pharma Funded mass disinformation campaigns have saturated mainstream media to discredit DSHEA, and have been embraced by an American public who’s terrified of their baby formula, peanuts, salmon and weight loss suppliments.
The FDA and its Big Pharma backers have never liked DSHEA, because supplements and All Things Homeopathic are putting the pharmaceutical industry to shame.
Last year, Big Pharma spent $758 Million on declared Congressional lobbying to kill DSHEA. As a result, many of our congressmen are trying to overturn it and allow Big Pharma free reign over Codex. If protective laws like DSHEA are destroyed, the sanctioning power of the autocratic WTO kicks in, and it will be impossible to get out from under Codex Alimentarius.
Over and over we’ve seen our government reps hiring speed readers to help them get through complex bills while playing beat the clock. The bills that are buffering the draconian laws of Codex Alimentarius are no exception – a blizzard of literature, as thick as the Manhattan phone book, which even a congressionally funded speed reader may fumble with.
What Can I Do?
Codex Alimentarius went into global implementation on December 31, 2009. We must act now to protect our access to high potency nutrients and stave off an attack on our food supply by putting pressure on Congress to save DSHEA, and vote against the other four “food safety” laws that are like stealth missiles to American Health and freedom of choice.
Or you can hope that, by then, there'll be so much Flouride in our food, you won't even care.
Why would anyone want to enact a global plan so monstrous? Its roots go back to World War II (the architects of Auschwitz are the Godfathers of Codex), and because of this, critics of Codex Alimentarius call it the Holocaust Hangover.
Regardless of motive, I can assure you this: Codex Alimentarius is definitely one hangover you won’t recover from.
