Obama and Netanyahu's dislike of each other changes nothing about US/Israeli relations. They're rock solid as ever.
Not a single member of Congress dares criticize Israel's worst crimes - not Elizabeth Warren, not Bernie Sanders, no one.
Obama's criticism is muted, phony, duplicitous. He supports repeated Israeli naked aggression on Gaza, its lawless siege, its slow-motion genocide against 1.8 million people, its longstanding ethnic cleansing policy and theft of Palestinian land. He's silent about its impending demolition of Susiya village after Israel's High Court rejected a plea by its residents to save homes they've lived in for decades on their own land. Israel wants it for exclusive Jewish development. Other villages are demolished the same way. Hundreds of Palestinian families are left homeless so Israel can become more Jewish at their expense.
Obama says one thing and does another. He just approved a $1.9 billion arms sale (or perhaps handout) as "compensation" for Iranian nuclear deal terms being considered that Israel opposes.
He's replacing its arsenal of terror weapons - likely in preparation for more aggression besides using them to bomb Syria, Yemen and Hezbollah along Lebanon's Syrian border.
Obama lost credibility almost straightaway in office. Instead of keeping his pledge to end US wars, he waged new ones - including homeland ones under a police state apparatus.
He looted America's treasury for Wall Street crooks and other corporate favorites. He targets anyone daring to expose government wrongdoing.
He deplores press freedom. He runs the most secretive, repressive regime in US history.
He mocks democratic values. He threatens world peace. He ludicrously said Netanyahu's inconsistent views on Palestine could cost Israel credibility.
"Already the international community does not believe (it's) serious about a two-state solution," he said.
Fact: Decades of so-called peace talks were dead on arrival. No peace process exists.
Fact: Israel deplores it. It won't tolerate affording Palestinians justice.
Fact: In 1948, Israel stole 78% of historic Palestine. In 1967, it took the rest.
Fact: It has no intention of giving back any stolen land it wants for exclusive Jewish development.
Fact: Washington fully supported its land-grabbing policy from inception almost half a century ago.
Fact: Israel can't lose credibility it never had - or America.
Fact: Both countries are ruled by neocon, neoliberal fascist regimes - lunatic ones by any standard.
Fact: Obama and Netanyahu are two sides of the same coin.
Fact: They're serial liars. At the same time, they partner in each others wars - including ruthless Palestinian persecution.
Fact: Billions of dollars of annual US aid, more on request, the latest weapons and technology, and other support let Israel continue apartheid repression unaccountably.
On Monday, Obama was asked how he'd like to be remembered when his tenure expires. "Fondly, I hope," he said.
"Obviously there are things that I've been proud of" - ludicrously adding "(t)oday, the US is the most respected country on earth."
Honest observers have other views. It bears repeating what other articles stressed.
No nation in world history did more harm to more people over a longer duration globally than America. None more threaten humanity's survival.
Obama exceeded the worst of George Bush with nearly 20 months left in his presidency to do even greater harm than already.
