Washington Rules Don’t Bend

September 28th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

New World Order Washington rules tolerate no outliers, no sovereign independence permitted, no unwillingness to bend to America’s will.

The price for disobedience is regime change - by color revolution or war. A criminal class in America runs things. One-party rule with two wings is enforced. No deviations allowed - no alternate choices, no giving voters say on anything, a democracy in name only, mocking the real thing.

America’s hegemonic aims are unprecedented, worse than ever under Obama - a war criminal, serial liar, and moral coward, recklessly threatening Russia and China, demanding they go along with US policies no matter how damaging to their own interests. Longstanding plans call for regime change. Both countries are America’s top two targets.

It wants them controlled as US vassal states, their militaries neutralized, their large land masses balkanized for easier control, their resources stolen, their people exploited as serfs.

Chinese President Xi Jinping is meeting Obama in Washington today, his first US state visit ahead of his September 28 General Assembly address. US officials are alarmed about Beijing’s growing economic clout, its political influence and military might.

Contentious issues to be discussed include construction in its own waters, alleged currency manipulation, accusations of cyber crime (a US specialty), and human rights (at the headquarters of the world’s greatest abuser), among other issues.

Ahead of his arrival in Washington, Xi met with corporate CEOs in Seattle - assuring them his government “will not, in whatever form, engage in commercial theft or encourage or support such attempts by anyone.”

“Both commercial cyber theft and hacking against government networks are crimes that must be punished in accordance with the law and relevant international treaties.”

No nation spies more aggressively worldwide than America. Cyber crime is rampant - for unchallenged control, strategic and economic advantage, to be one up on foreign competitors, for information used advantageously in trade, political and military relations.

Accusing China of cyber espionage is part of Washington’s hostility toward a formidable rival in a strategically important part of the world - especially allied with Russia and other BRICS countries, a vital counterweight to US hegemonic ambitions.

On Monday, Obama and Vladimir Putin will meet on the sidelines of the 70th UN General Assembly session. Issues to be discussed include resolving Ukrainian and Syrian conflicts, as well as confronting the Islamic State effectively.

Russia and most other countries want its scourge eliminated. It’s a valued US strategic tool - used for homeland fear-mongering.

Washington depends on it as foot soldiers against Syria’s Assad as well as creating regional instability. It wants a permanent state of war continued. Nothing defeats its hegemonic aims more than peace and stability.

The Sino/Russian peace agenda runs counter to America’s rage for endless wars. US national security advisor Ben Rhodes lied claiming Washington is open to negotiation with Russia on Ukraine and Syria. Not a chance.

Compromise was never a US long suit. Hegemons demand obedience. Independent nations are punished - politically, economically and/or militarily. A constant state of conflict persists, a reckless agenda threatening world peace.

Expect Obama’s meetings with Putin and Xi to accomplish nothing - no major breakthroughs, nothing beneficial for Russia and Xi. No step forward or “giant leap for mankind.”

Both leaders represent rival governments Washington wants to control, no matter the stakes. Expect irresponsible Russia and China bashing to continue. Nothing in prospect suggests otherwise.

Washington’s notion of a “rules-based international order” is one it imposes, demanding unquestioned obedience or else.

A clash of civilizations looms, pitting America against Russia and China, a high stakes game assuring no winners, a possible humanity-threatening global war.
