Obama’s War on Syria: A Potential Catastrophic Flashpoint

February 7th, 2016

America’s rage for unchallenged global dominance risks the unthinkable. Bipartisan neocons infesting Washington let nothing interfere with their reckless agenda - pure evil by any standard, risking humanity’s survival.

Democrat Hillary Clinton is as ruthless, dangerous and over-the-top as the most extremist Republican, a war goddess ready to target humanity militarily, mindless of potential catastrophic consequences.

Longstanding bipartisan US policy calls for replacing all independent governments with Western-controlled puppet regimes, naked aggression Washington’s strategy of choice.

Endless wars rage, US aggression in Syria using ISIS and other takfiri terrorist groups the most serious because of Russia’s involvement, combating terrorism, wanting it kept from spreading to Central Asia and its own heartland - risking a possible superpower confrontation.

Chances for peace in Syria are virtually nil, diplomatic efforts futile. Washington orchestrated war. Obama didn’t launch it to quit short of achieving regime change and turning the country into a US vassal state - no matter the vast destruction and human cost.

Ruling the world alone matters, eliminating all potential challengers, especially Russia and China, the last frontier against America achieving its megalomaniacal aims.

Moscow’s intervention in Syria reinvigorated its military, both nations battering ISIS and other terrorist groups effectively, winning strategic battles, Washington on the defensive, struggling on how to respond.

Earlier articles discussed possible Turkish and Saudi intervention, complicit with Washington, deploying ground troops illegally in Syria, raising the stakes for possible greater conflict enormously, risking direct confrontation with Russia.

Putin and Assad want peace, not war, escalated conflict avoided. At the same time, they won’t tolerate naked aggression threatening their national security.

Washington’s bombing campaign targets infrastructure and government sites - in Iraq and Syria. It deployed combat troops to both countries on the phony pretext of combating ISIS. If Turkish and/or Saudi forces invade Syrian territory for the same contrived reason, all bets are off.

Russian air power and ground defenses will destroy any potential threat. Moscow/Ankara relations soured after Erdogan downed a Russian warplane in Syrian airspace - approved by or complicit with Washington. Other provocations followed.

If Turkish forces clash with Syrian ones or challenge Russia’s aerial campaign, Moscow’s justifiable response could trigger US-led NATO intervention - the possibility of Russia and America at war, the risk of something much greater than the struggle for Syria’s soul.

Flashpoint conditions exist, Moscow trying to cool them. Washington’s rage for dominance makes the unthinkable possible.

Mystifying the sultry blues of "Blue Sun" to the punk-infused anthems like "Brass in Pocket," the band slips into these heterogeneous grooves with greased skids.
