A previous article explained Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu’s proposal for US/Russian joint operations against ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorists in Syria not supporting ceasefire - as well as on convoys from Turkey supplying them with arms and munitions.
If America spurns unity against a universal scourge, Shoigu said Russia intends operating unilaterally against armed groups continuing to wage war on Syria and its people.
Surprising no one, Washington rejected Moscow’s offer, Pentagon spokesman Navy Captain Jeff Davis, saying America’s military doesn’t “collaborate or coordinate with the Russians on any operations in Syria.”
He lied claiming Moscow focuses on “supporting and enabling” Assad while America’s interest is “degrading and defeating ISIL” - the monster it created and supports.
State Department spokesman admiral John Kirby said discussions with Moscow only involve “proposals for a sustainable mechanism to better monitor and enforce the cessation of hostilities.”
He turned truth on its head blaming Syrian forces for the “vast majority” of violations. Virtually all are carried out by US supported terrorist groups.
Washington won’t ally with Russia against terrorists in Syria and elsewhere for obvious reasons. It backs the scourge it claims to oppose, providing arms, munitions, funding, training, direction and other material support.
Partnered with NATO, Saudi Arabia, Israel and other despotic regional regimes, it wants Syria transformed into another US vassal state - why Obama launched naked aggression in the first place, using terrorists as imperial foot soldiers. Moscow respects Syrian sovereignty and territorial integrity.
America’s longstanding relations with Russia are adversarial. They’re enemies, not partners. Despite Moscow’s best efforts to normalize relations, top US officials and Pentagon commanders call Russia America’s leading threat, a recklessly dangerous perversion of truth.
Putin and Obama are geopolitical opposites - the world’s preeminent peace maker v. its leading aggression, both leaders promoting agendas opposite the other’s.
Washington won’t ever agree to policies diverging from its imperial objectives - achieving dominion over planet earth, its resources and populations.
