Ahead of his Sunday visit, Kerry’s upside down assessment of things stressed “the important role the UK plays in promoting peace and stability in the world.”
Both countries partnered with Israel represent pure evil, humanity’s greatest threat - Kerry’s visit an imperial mission, asserting US authority, letting UK and European officials know what Washington expects going forward.
Kerry saying “(i)n a democracy, when the voters speak, it is the job of leaders to listen and then to make sure that they are moving in a way that is responsible to address the concerns” is polar opposite the way America and its rogue Western allies operate.
On Sunday, he met with Israel’s Netanyahu, then to Brussels to meet with EU officials, followed by discussions with UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond in London before heading back to Washington late Sunday night.
Obama earlier warning about Brexit consigning Britain to the “back of the queue” in future trade deals was replaced by Kerry stressing America’s “very close and special relationship with Great Britain…(unchanged) following (Thursday’s) vote).”
Twenty-two EU states are NATO members, including Britain. Expect Washington’s heavy hand involved in events ahead as they unfold, exerting pressure, making sure its will is obeyed.
Hegemons tolerate no outliers. Kerry’s Brussels and London visits reminded their officials about who’s boss.
