The Strategic Battle of Aleppo

August 15th, 2016

The outcome of war may hinge on its outcome. Prior to Obama’s aggression, Aleppo was Syria’s commercial hub and largest city. Much of it now lies in ruins, its population reduced to a small fraction of its pre-war size.

Syrian forces and Russian airpower continue battling for parts of the city controlled by US-supported terrorists.

According to Russian General Sergei Rudskoi, a “most alarming situation has developed on the southwestern approaches to Aleppo where terrorists (massed) about 7,000 gunmen” - equipped with “tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, artillery and vehicles with armament mounted on them.”

Their ranks are being replenished by terrorists operating in Idlib, Homs and Hama. Conditions remain “highly complicated.” Nonexistent “moderates” joined forces with Security Council designated terrorists in launching attacks.

They’re “suffering severe losses. More than 1,000 militants have been killed (in) southwest…Aleppo over the past four days” - about another 2,000 wounded.

“Seven tanks, 8 infantry combat vehicles; 29 guns and mortar launchers and 85 trucks with large-caliber weapons have been destroyed," Rudskoi explained.

Syrian forces and Russian airpower continue focusing heavily on striking areas where terrorist fighters are massed, along with disrupting and preventing deliveries of new armaments. Their supply lines remain severed.

Russia and Syria continue heroic efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to thousands of beleaguered area residents. China, Serbia and around four dozen organizations offered to take part in the relief operation.

Moscow proposed daily three-hour humanitarian aid windows from 10AM - 1PM local time to allow safe passage for relief convoys to deliver food, medicines and other supplies along established corridors.

Meanwhile, Washington remains the main obstacle to diplomatic conflict resolution, pouring weapons into Syria through Turkey’s border, likely orchestrating and directing terrorist fighters attacking Aleppo.

At the same time, it’s clashing with Russia irresponsibly, preparing possible new illegal sanctions based on fabricated claims of Moscow’s involvement in hacking DNC emails.

On Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D. CA), a staunch Clinton supporter, willfully and maliciously lied, claiming she “know(s) for sure it is the Russians…This is an electronic Watergate,” she blustered.

Top-ranking House Intelligence Committee member Adam Schiff said “when the administration believes it has sufficient evidence of attribution, it will make that attribution public as well as consider any other steps necessary.”

Russia bashing could escalate dangerously if Hillary succeeds Obama next year. The risk of possible global war with her in power would be greater than any time since WW II.
