US-Stoked Conflict in Ukraine

August 17th, 2016

Resolving internal conflict in Ukraine is unattainable because Washington wants war, not peace - using its installed puppet regime to do its dirty work, providing it with weapons, funding, training, direction and other material support.

Donbass freedom fighters want democracy, not fascist rule, not illegitimate putschists taking orders from Washington, controlling the lives and welfare, militantly anti-Russia, their one reliable ally.

Ukrainian forces are massed provocatively along areas bordering Crimea (Russian territory) and Donbass. Donetsk People’s Republic Prime Minister Alexander Zakharchenko said (illegitimate) president Petro Poroshenko placed his armed forces on “heightened combat alert.”

He may attack “Donbass to distract attention from his” failed terrorist plot in Crimea. Russian security forces foiled it.

Donbass freedom fighters are prepared to repel any attempted Ukrainian military offensive - routing it like they did before.

“We have said on many occasions that Ukraine has become a terrorist state,” Zakharchenko explained. “It will suffice to recall hundreds of terrorist acts, which Kiev has committed against our civilians.”

“Now, after an attempt to commit a terrorist act in Crimea against Russian civilians, the entire world (is) convinced in that.”

Daily shelling targeting Donbass continues. Media scoundrels ignore Kiev’s aggression, Washington’s dirty hands manipulating things, wanting anti-Russian fascist rule solidified throughout the country.

Responding to Ukraine’s foiled terrorist plot in Crimea, Putin was uncharacteristically unforgiving in saying “it is obvious for all involved that the current Kiev authorities are not looking to solve problems through negotiation.”

“Now they escalate to acts of terror. This is very concerning…(T)he underlying situation is even more alarming…Trying to provoke violence and conflict can only serve to divert public attention from those who seized power in Kiev, and still continue to usurp it and continue to rob their people.”

Their scheme is retaining power as long as possible, Putin stressed. He assured maximum efforts to secure the safety and security of Russian citizens and infrastructure.

For now, it’s futile dealing with Kiev putschists wanting war, not peace. Russian UN envoy Vitaly Churkin stressed it, saying they “need to stop the conflict in Donbass and stop shelling civilians.”

“There is chaos in Kiev. They don’t know” how to deal with democrats refusing to live under fascist rule. They have “no political will to implement” Minsk. Nothing less is acceptable.

“Despite Washington’s statements about their determination to solve the crisis in Ukraine, unfortunately it never reflects in UN Security Council discussions” - nothing to resolve ongoing conflict diplomatically.

It appears just a matter of time before resuming it full-blown - perhaps in the fall under Obama, maybe during his lame duck period, or next year after Hillary succeeds him.
