CCHR Update on U.S. Health Care Reform Bills

November 21st, 2009

Dr. Gary G. Kohls

UPDATE: New Health Care Bill Drafted by House of Representatives Filled with Psycho/Pharma Agenda

There are dozens of organizations that are objecting to provisions in the health care reform bills. As the primary mental health watchdog organization, CCHR has been hard at work identifying the specific mental health provisions in these bills so we can inform the public of the very real risks of various aspects of these bills that clearly are designed to benefit the psycho/pharmaceutical industry, but not the general public.

The Terror Which Begot “Israel”

November 20th, 2009

PoliticalTheatrics

Terrorist & mass murderer Menachem Begin + The Zionist terrorbombing
of the King David Hotel

We committed Nazi acts.” -Aharon Zisling, Israel’s first Agriculture Minister

“There is no doubt that many sexual atrocities were committed by the attacking Jews. Many young (Arab) girls were raped and later slaughtered. Old women were also molested.” -General Richard Catling, British Army Assistant Inspector after interrogating several female survivors. (The Palestinian Catastrophe, Michael Palumbo, 1987)

“Terrorism” is here taken to mean the practice of the deliberate inflicting (either directly or indirectly) of harm, injury, death and/or destruction upon a civilian target sufficient to cause horror, revulsion or despair among civilian populations and/or their political leaders, with the goal of causing those populations or political leaders to act in a way desired by the terrorists. A terrorist state is a state which practices terrorism, even if it pretends (or rather, lies) to the world that it does not. It hardly needs to be pointed out that Israel is a terrorist state. Brutal repression of, and bloody attacks on, Palestinian civilians with the official Israeli aim of causing a change in the policies or actions of the Palestinian leadership is a clear case of terrorism.

The US andThe US And Israel Want A War With Iran And Another Conflict With Gaza

November 20th, 2009

Peter Eyre

Anyone with an ounce of intelligence can see that the writing is on the wall for more trouble in the Middle East. They cannot see the bigger picture that this could spark off a major war in the region or maybe this is exactly what they want.

We again see nice calm words coming from the lips of IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei when he made it very clear that Iran was nothing to worry about.

Amidst this calm of the IAEA Director General we again see the US rallying up support for more decisive actions against Iran. One could ask the question why insist on sending in the experts from the IAEA but not waiting for their report. Why is Obama so aggressive in his mannerism towards Iran......could it be that he really does want conflict and is just waiting for an excuse in much the same way as his predecessor?

Are Blackwater Mercenaries Responsible For False Flag Bombings In Order To Unleash Civil War In Pakistan?

November 20th, 2009

Damien Lataan

Yesterday I wrote of media reports saying that the Obama administration had written to Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, ‘saying he expects the Pakistani leader to rally political and national security institutions in a united campaign against extremists’. It now seems that Blackwater, the US mercenary company, may well have been responsible for a series of bombings aimed specifically at civilians in an effort to alienate the Pakistani people from the Taliban.

In a recent video, Taliban spokesman, Azam Tariq, denied that the Taliban were responsible for a suicide bombing at the International Islamic University in Islamabad on 20 October 2009, and the massive car-bombing that iscriminately killed scores of civilians at a market in Peshawar, a bombing that coincided with a visit by Hillary Clinton to Pakistan, on 28 October 2009. What gives Tariq’s statement credibility is the fact that, first, the Taliban, as can be seen in the video, are quite happy to claim responsibility for those bombings that were against police and security facilities which they see as legitimate targets. Second, it would not at all be in the Taliban’s interest to indiscriminately murder the very people, particularly in Peshawar where most of the people are Pashtun, that offer the Taliban most support and from whom the Taliban draw new recruits.

On November 20, New York Times writer Colin Moynihan broke the news headlining:

"Radical Lawyer Convicted of Aiding Terrorist Is Jailed," then saying:

Zionist Control of Britain’s Government: 1940-2009

November 20th, 2009

by William A. Cook
Zionist Control of Britain’s Government: 1940-2009

“After so many years of setting the tone, bribing UK politicians and controlling the BBC they (Zionists) are used to being untouchable.” (Gilad Atzmon, “Britain Must de-Zionist Itself Immediately,” Nov. 17, 2009, MWC News).

This week the British people listened to the Daily Mall’s Peter Oborne present, on Channel 4, his devastating account of the Jewish lobby’s control of their government. Now we know that virtually all the principal politicians in the UK of both parties, like their brothers across the lake in our House and Senate, take “contributions” from the Israeli lobby machine ensuring that the Anglo-American mid-east policies follow the dictates of the Israeli government. Gilad Atzmon responded to this report in his article “Britain must de-Zionise itself immediately,” noting that this control has been in place for so many years the lobby feels “untouchable.”

How many years are “many” one might ask? In 1941, the High Commissioner of Palestine, Harold MacMichael, Senior Palestine Mandate officer for the British Mandate forces in Palestine, sent the following “Top Secret” “Memorandum on the Participation of the Jewish National Institutions in Palestine in Acts of Lawlessness and Violence” to the Secretary of State, dated October 16th, a report prepared by The Palestine Police, Criminal Investigation Department:

America's New "Huge Bomb" for Iran

November 20th, 2009

Marco Villa

President Obama’s diplomatic outreach to Iran deserves some award for its schizophrenic nature. Obama claims he wants to reach out his hand to an uncleanched Iranian fist, but all the while he pursues diplomacy he is repeating the same belligerent rhetoric of the Bush years.

When it was reported that Iran has a previously undisclosed nuclear site at Qom, Obama stated that Iran “must” do such and such. Why must Iran “must” do anything from orders handed by the United States which is the only nation to have used nuclear weapsons and continues to protect Israeli - which has at one hundred undisclosed nukes - from inspections? Is such heavy-handed, tough guy-esque demands supposed to endear Iranians and are a reflections of Obama’s declared open palm?

The Obama administration has further cotinued to interfer in Iranian affairs and publicly threaten the regime with overthrow. The U.S. continues to fund and support anti-regime militias and has openly spoke about a possible attack against Iran. Iran wants nuclear weapons in the first place because of such threats, so while Obama wants Iran to forego nukes he continues to support U.S. policies that are the reason Iran even has such a program. Does any body else see the illogic is all this? Is U.S. efforts to overthrow the regime supposed to inspire Iranians to negotiations of goodwill?

Campus Watch Copycats Close in on Israeli Professors

November 20th, 2009

Jonathan Cook

Pappe abandoned his academic career in Israel and
relocated to the UK.

Right-wing groups in Israel want to create a climate of fear among left-wing scholars at Israeli universities by emulating the 'witch-hunt' tactics of the US academic monitoring group Campus Watch, Israeli professors warn.

The watchdog groups IsraCampus and Israel Academia Monitor are believed to be stepping up their campaigns after the recent publication in a US newspaper of an Israeli professor’s call to boycott Israel.

Both groups have been alerting the universities’ external donors, mostly US Jews, to what they describe as “subversive” professors as a way to bring pressure to bear on university administrations to sanction faculty staff who are critical of Israeli policies.

“I have no hesitation in calling this a McCarthyite campaign,” said David Newman, a politics professor at Ben Gurion University, in Israel’s southern city of Beersheva. “What they are doing is very dangerous.”

Media Disseminated Myths about Obamacare

November 19th, 2009

Stephen Lendman

Katrina vanden Heuvel

Pro or con, major media spin distorts, exaggerates, and lies to avoid key truths on this critically important issue. After the House passed HR 3962: Affordable Health Care for America Act, a November 11 Nation magazine editorial (likely by editor, publisher, and part-owner Katrina vanden Heuvel) admitted the bill's faults, yet praised it saying:

-- "something remarkable happened on November 7 when the House voted 220-215 for legislation that the Congressional Budget Office says will extend insurance coverage to 36 million uncovered Americans....in the House bill there is certainly something to work with, and something to fight for."

Earlier on MSNBC's Morning Joe, she hailed the moment as "a historic day....a victory in Congress....this is the most important piece of legislation we've seen in decades." In a September 9 article titled, "Obama Shows His Progressive Spine," vanden Heuval praised his "plain-spoken, at times tough, and masterful address to a joint session of congress....about the importance of healthcare reform as a test of our nation's character."

State Department "Dismayed" at Israeli Crimes

November 19th, 2009

Marco Villa

Here’s the list that Obama administration calls a success in the Middle East

- Israel will not agree to a settlement freeze, but only “restraint”

- “Restraint” means that settlements will continue to expand in the West Bank

- And this “restraint” - which Secretary Clinton called “unprecedented” will not even applied to occupied East Jerusalem which is majority Arabs and which the Palestinians aspire to have as their future capital; but Israel’s far-right government claims East Jerusalem as Israeli land and is busy “Judaizing” the place by ethnically cleansing Arabs and building illegal Jewish settlements

In short, Obama has been a dismal failure even by American standards.
