It’s easy to propose, hard to deliver, especially when intent falls short of campaign pledges. Then there’s Congress to contend with. Even public opinion occasionally has sway - rarely, but sometimes.

Ahead of his August 8 economic policy address, Bloomberg said he’ll propose no new financial regulations until “significant (economic) growth” occurs. Earlier he said he’d repeal Dodd-Frank, erroneously touted financial regulatory reform - doing nothing to curb casino capitalism. He’ll propose repealing the so-called “death tax,” estate taxes affecting high-net worth individuals and households only, lowering maximum corporate taxes to 15%, and substituting three tax brackets for the current seven.

“He’ll call for the elimination of special tax treatment for carried-interest income at private-equity firms and other investment firms,” said Bloomberg.

He’ll continue expressing opposition to TPP, support for polluting coal and environmentally destructive Keystone pipeline construction.

For the past decade, the US intelligence agencies operating in Turkey have worked closely with the increasingly influential parallel government of Fethullah Gulen. Their approach to power was, until recently, a permeationist strategy, of covertly taking over political, economic, administrative, judicial, media, military and cultural positions gradually without resort to elections or military coups. They adopted flexible tactics, supporting and shedding different allies to eliminate rivals.

In 2010 in support of Erdogan, they played a major role in arresting and purging 300 Kemalist – military officials. Subsequently the Gulenists moved to prosecute and weaken the Erdogan regime via revelations of family corruption uncovered by their intelligence officials and publicized by its mass media outlets.

The Gulenists shared several important policies with Washington which favored “the convergence” that led up to the July 15, 2016 coup.

Islamophobia is longstanding in America, especially virulent post-9/11. Bipartisan complicity targets Muslims as enemies of convenience at home and abroad.

They’ve have been hounded, vilified and persecuted for their faith, ethnicity, prominence, activism and charity - arrested, detained, tried on secret evidence or summarily declared guilty by accusation, imprisoned on bogus charges or none at all, at times longterm.

Numerous examples explain bipartisan viciousness, unjustifiable state-sponsored scapegoating, continuing largely unreported. Criticizing Trump’s Islamophobia misses the bigger picture. Post-911, Washington declared war on Islam, ravaging and destroying one Islamic country after another, terrorizing US Muslims for practicing their faith at the wrong time, vilifying them as demons of convenience - imprisoning unknown numbers solely for political reasons.

Bipartisan complicity targets them. The difference between Trump and other high-level US politicians and bureaucrats is he openly expresses views they share but won’t admit.

If she were male and grew a funny-looking mustache to go with her scowl when cameras aren’t running, resembling that other guy with delusions of grandeur way back, the whole world would rally to combat the menace she represents.

At times, I feel like a lonely warrior for peace, equity and justice, trying to help heal a sick world without success. On reflection, I know doing the right thing is its own reward.

The results are already in, even before the official campaign-finance final figures will become available after the election.

Though a large percentage of the people funding the campaign advertising will never be made public — due to recent Supreme Court decisions allowing “dark money” — data already exist on the final product of the campaigns (including both the above-board and the dark money), which is the booked advertising time for each of the two candidates at the start of their campaigns. (Similar proportions of donations go also to get-out-the-vote and other campaign-activities; so, these booked-advertising figures correlate rather well with across-the-board funding of the two campaigns.)

It’s terrifying to consider what actions an emotionally unstable neocon leader may do as US president, a notorious war hawk, a Wall Street tool beholden solely to powerful monied interests controlling her and husband Bill.

She’s militantly anti-Russia, anti-China, anti-Iran, anti-peace and stability. Ignore her gender and duplicitous rhetoric. A 2nd Clinton co-presidency would be disastrous - perhaps homeland tyranny and global war with nuclear weapons threatening everyone. Nothing qualifies her for leadership, no redeeming features, plenty since the 1990s revealing her despicable record, pure evil by any standard - why she lacks credibility, popular support and trust, why common sense demands rejecting her.

Bernie Sanders supporters are flocking to Jill Stein, the presumptive Green Party presidential candidate, with donations to her campaign exploding nearly 1000% after he endorsed Hillary Clinton. Stein salutes Sanders for the progressive populist movement he began and says it is up to her to carry the baton. Can she do it? Critics say her radical policies will not hold up to scrutiny. But supporters say they are just the medicine the economy needs.

Stein goes even further than Sanders on several key issues, and one of them is her economic platform. She has proposed a “Power to the People Plan” that guarantees basic economic human rights, including access to food, water, housing, and utilities; living-wage jobs for every American who needs to work; an improved “Medicare for All” single-payer public health insurance program; tuition-free public education through university level; and the abolition of student debt. She also supports the reinstatement of Glass-Steagall, separating depository banking from speculative investment banking; the breakup of megabanks into smaller banks; federal postal banks to service the unbanked and under-banked; and the formation of publicly-owned banks at the state and local level.

Disturbing signs point to a rigged November election to install Hillary as Obama’s successor - stealing the nation’s highest office, not winning it fair and square.

Given the power of money, influence, and scandalous one-sided media reporting, it’s hard imagining how it can be stopped.

It appears the fix was in from the onset of the political process last year. The train left the station with Hillary alone aboard - destination the White House, blackened with her in charge, along with husband Bill as co-president for a third term, a duo only Wall Street, war profiteers and other corporate predators could love.

Sanders was never a serious candidate. He played the role of loyal opposition, enjoying his extended 15 minutes of fame, a huckster throughout his deplorable political career - saying one thing, doing another.
