On Monday, Putin attended the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) summit in Tehran - an important visit showing bilateral cooperation on major geopolitical issues between both countries, notably the Syria conflict.
He met with Iranian leaders on the sidelines of the conference, his main reason for attending, including President Hassan Rohani and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
“The Americans have a long-term plot and are trying to dominate Syria and then the whole region,” Khamenei stressed. “This is a threat to all countries, especially Russia and Iran.”

CNN Turkish television cited local and Syrian sources, saying Turkish aircraft intercepted the Russian plane after it allegedly crossed into Turkish airspace (something Moscow categorically denies), downing the plane in response.
If accurate, Ankara committed an act of war against Russia, its agenda polar opposite Moscow’s on Syria - allied with Washington’s regime change plan, along with seeking annexation of bordering Syrian territory.
Both Russian pilots ejected after the incident. Turkish video footage showed the crash site, about five km from Turkey’s border - inside Syrian territory.

Both countries are NATO allies, united against Assad, wanting him toppled, actively complicit in supporting and using ISIS, as well as other terrorist groups as proxy foot soldiers in the war Obama launched in March 2011.
It’s inconceivable Turkey acted on its own, independent of US-dominated NATO. Its action is a major geopolitical incident - a premeditated act of war against Russia in Syrian airspace.
Ankara claiming the aircraft entered Turkish airspace, ignoring multiple warnings, has the distinct aroma of a bald-faced lied to cover up a hostile act. Erdogan’s recklessness ruptured Turkish/Russian relations, at least for the time being. Sergey Lavrov cancelled his scheduled Wednesday trip to Istanbul, saying “(a) decision has been made to cancel the meeting at the level of Russian and Turkish foreign ministers…”

John Kerry arrives in Israel later on Tuesday as this is written. He’ll meet with Netanyahu to express full support for raging state terror against millions of defenseless Palestinian civilians - including harsh new measures being imposed.
Kerry’s rhetoric belies his agenda. On Monday from Abu Dhabi, meeting with despotic Crown Prince Sheikh Mohamed bin Zahed al-Nahyan and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan, he said talks in Israel will try to “get some concrete steps in place (to) calm things down…(T)oo many Israelis have been killed and stabbed…”Washington and Israel partner in each other’s high crimes, raging daily against Palestinians, Kerry indifferent to their longstanding suffering - US policy everywhere, supporting powerful Western interests exclusively at the expense of ordinary people, at home and abroad.

Terrible terrorists are killing our soldiers in their countries and killing us here at home. How can we stop them?
The answer is simple: Stop terrorizing them. We started this war. What we do to others comes back on us.
In addition to centuries of crusades and imperial conquest, the past 100 years show a clear pattern of Western aggression in the region. During World War One the British persuaded the Arabs to fight on their side by promising them independence. Thousands of them died in battle for the Brits because of this promise of freedom. But after the victory Britain refused to leave; it maintained control by installing puppet kings -- Faisal in Iraq and Ibn Saud in Saudi Arabia -- to rule in its interest.
After World War Two the USA and Britain pressured the United Nations into confiscating Arab land to form the state of Israel, making the Arabs pay for the crimes of the Germans. They wanted Israel as a forward base for dominating the resources of the Middle East. In the early 1950s the USA and Britain overthrew the government of Iran because it tried to nationalize its oil industry, which was under Western control. We installed the Shah as dictator, and he promptly gave the oil back to us. Then he began a 25 year reign of terror against his own people. His secret police jailed, tortured, or killed hundreds of thousands of Iranians who opposed him. Since they knew he was kept in power only by American military aid, they began hating the USA.

Most people don’t think or reason. They react, often irrationally. A previous article said chances of being struck by lightning are much greater than becoming a terrorist attack victim.
Death by auto accident, preventable diseases, violence at home by one family member against another, alcoholism or excessive use of harmful legal drugs is infinitely higher - what media propaganda never explains.
State-sponsored/scoundrel media hyped fear convinces most people of nonexistent dangers. Early November Gallup data showed only 3% of Americans called terrorism the nation’s top problem - polling done before the Paris attacks, compared to 46% in October 2001. Expect a much higher fear level when new polling results are available.

Ban is a US-appointed imperial tool, shaming the office he holds, serving wealth, power and privilege exclusively - complicit with US-led NATO and Israeli high crimes against peace.
He obeys orders from Washington, breaching his UN Charter pledge under Chapter XV, Article 100 “not (to) seek or receive instructions from any government or from any other authority external to the Organization.”
He’s a tool used at Washington’s discretion, serving its interests at the expense of world peace, stability and security. He says one thing, means another. From the just concluded ASEAN summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he said ISIS must be “defeated in the name of humanity.”

"Since 1970, Native Americans have gathered at noon on Cole's Hill in Plymouth to commemorate a National Day of Mourning on the US Thanksgiving holiday. Many Native Americans do not celebrate the arrival of the Pilgrims and other European settlers. To them, Thanksgiving Day is a reminder of the genocide of millions of their people, the theft of their lands, and the relentless assault on their culture. Participants in a National Day of Mourning honor Native ancestors and the struggles of Native peoples to survive today. It is a day of remembrance and spiritual connection as well as a protest of the racism and oppression which Native Americans continue to experience." -- Text of a plaque on Cole's Hill, overlooking Plymouth Rock

The announcement sounds better than the reality. Still, any action nicking Israeli near-impregnability is welcome.
Following EU-mandated labeling guidelines for settlement products, Berlin-based Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe) Vremoved all Israeli settlement produced items from its shelves. Growing numbers of European companies refuse to import them.
Store spokeswoman Petra Fladenhofer said “(o)nly after fixing the labels, we'll return the products to our shelves.” Labeling is far short of what’s needed.
Banning all settlement products produced on stolen Palestinian land is essential - a first step toward a total boycott of Israeli goods and services, as well as Security Council action mandating an arms embargo, prohibiting nations from selling Israel weapons, munitions and related products, anything potentially aiding its killing machine, raging daily against defenseless Palestinians.

Russian airstrikes continue hammering ISIS and other terrorist targets in Syria. Over the weekend, 141 sorties struck 472 sites, including hundreds more tanker trucks transporting stolen oil for black market sales in Iraq and Turkey - 1,000 destroyed since Russia began bombing them, along with ISIS-controlled oil refineries and a “major oil depot.”
Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said terrorists sustained heaviest losses in Deiz ez-Zor, Raqqa and Aleppo provinces. “Most gangs have quit positions in these areas in defiance of threats from their warlords and been getting rid themselves of Islamic State clothes, symbols and emblems and trying to mix with the local population,” he explained.
