Gilad Atzmon
Part 1
by Eve Mykytyn
Five security guards, members of the RCMP, two in bulletproof vests, all entrants pass through metal detectors, undergo a wand search, check all electronics including cell phones and have their bags meticulously scrutinized. Why all the security? The crown was presenting its criminal case against Arthur Topham, for the crime of “hate.’
The Law
Section 319 of Canada’s criminal code is an extraordinary law by most western standards. It reads, in relevant part: “(2) Every one who, by communicating statements, other than in private conversation, willfully promotes hatred against any identifiable group is guilty of
(a) an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years; or
(b) an offence punishable on summary conviction.
The statute does not define hatred, but does provide 4 statutory defenses.

Irresponsible Russia bashing can’t hide what’s increasingly clear. Putin is on the right side of history, polar opposite Obama’s imperial agenda.
America wages endless wars of aggression, masquerading as humanitarian intervention and democracy building, notions neocons infesting Washington abhor.
Might makes right dominates their thinking. Humanity destroying global war looms more possible than any previous time in history.
Russia is the world champion supporter of peace and stability, mutual cooperation among all countries, multi-world polarity, inviolability of fundamental international laws, and respect for universal sovereign independence.
In contrast, US hubris and arrogance threaten humanity’s survival. Putin’s intervention in Syria was the right initiative at the right time. Sooner would have been better.
The die was cast against the right enemy - the scourge of terrorism, ISIS its leading exponent, America its principal backer. A good v. pure evil struggle remains ongoing.
Russia’s main concern is a greater homeland terrorist threat than already. Better to fight it abroad than at home, at the same time helping Syrian forces regain the offensive, recapture lost territory, and preserve its sovereignty.

Israel is waging premeditated, unprovoked war on Palestine. The shocking toll on defenseless people mounts daily, ignored by deplorable Western and Israeli media - portraying naked aggression as self-defense against “knife-wielding terrorists,” mindless of a new generation of Palestinian youths demanding freedom they deserve.
As America commemorates its rogue warrior tradition on Veterans Day, honoring young men and women sent to wage wars of aggression globally against invented enemies, Palestinians count their dead, wounded and imprisoned heroes, victims of Israeli ruthlessness. As of November 11, soldiers and police murdered 82 Palestinians in cold blood, including 18 children and four women - 72-year-old widow Tharwat al-Sharawi lethally gunned down in her car en route to have lunch with her sister.

Since June 1967, Israel established 125 illegal settlements on stolen Palestinian land, home for about 600,000 settlers, many Zionist zealots, freely terrorizing Palestinians, committing violence and vandalism unaccountably.
They’re considered closed military zones, off-limits to Palestinians, Jews alone allowed to live in what Israel calls “communities,” developed for them exclusively, reflecting apartheid lawlessness.
Settlers live freely as Israeli citizens, enjoying rights solely afforded Jews. Palestinians are terrorized under martial law, systematically deprived of fundamental human and civil rights - including free expression, movement and assembly, virtually all aspect of their lives controlled by military orders Settlements flagrantly contravene international law, prohibiting occupying powers from relocating their citizens to territories they control. Israel has been doing it unaccountably for nearly half a century, systematically stealing Palestine’s most valued land for exclusive Jewish development - appropriating all West Bank, East Jerusalem, and offshore Gaza resources, including valued water, as well as lucrative oil and gas reserves.

America is addicted to endless direct and proxy wars of aggression. Peace is anathema, social justice discarded to devote national resources to warmaking and militarizing the homeland.
Washington’s criminal class is bipartisan. Duopoly power rules, one party with two wings, serving monied interests exclusively, not a single identifiable administration, congressional or top-level judicial profile in courage, all in lockstep with what makes America the most feared and hated of all nations.
All Republican and Democrat presidential aspirants support aggressive wars. None demand they end. No one worries about possible nuclear annihilation, let alone rule of law principles and democratic values - old ideas, quaint ones to be discarded and ignored.

A previous article discussed doping accusations without corroborating evidence. It’s habitual in irresponsibly bashing Russia.
The Western founded and run World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) accused Russia of state-sponsored doping of athletes - a thinly veiled politically motivated scheme to ban Russia from international athletic competition, especially the 2016 summer Olympic games.
Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said “(w)e know about it from the mass media, and rely on the disproof voiced by our sports ministry.”
Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) president Nikita Kamayev said “(i)f If we speak about the allegedly destroyed doping samples, I see only a raw report and declarative statements without any proof. This also goes in regard to accusations of bribes offered by athletes. I see no logic here. All accusations are ungrounded at the moment.”
Russia’s sports minister Vitaly Mutko called conclusions in WADA’s report “baseless” and “really fictional. The Russian doping agencies today are really independent from the government.” “We only collect samples that are then stored in a laboratory and are supervised for decades. It is not Russia that now heads the anti-doping organization.”

Longstanding US/Israeli imperial partnership overrides how both leaders feel about each other - undisguised loathing no matter how they tried hiding it Monday in a media photo op.
Business as usual alone matters. Both nations partner in each other’s high crimes - endless Middle East wars, raping one country after another, wanting all independent governments removed, vassal ones replacing them, regional resources stolen, populations exploited.
No nations threaten peace and stability more than America and Israel - fascist rogue states pretending to be democracies. Regimes wanting world dominance may end up destroying it.

It’ll be some time before the cause of the downed Russian Kogalymavia Flight 9268 is known for sure and announced. Mounting evidence suggests terrorism.
A bomb on board appears most likely, yet to be proved or disproved. Mechanical or structural failure, or a surface-to-air or air-to-air missile are the only other possibilities - unlikely unless determined otherwise.
The ongoing investigation will discover precisely what happened. If terrorism, what then? How will Putin respond? Key is whether it’s possible to assign blame. More on this below.
Tass reported Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev saying “(t)he probability of a terrorist act…is held as a cause of what happened.” What’s likely doesn’t indicate certainty until the ongoing investigation is complete enough to know one way or the other.

The Times is a US administration/Pentagon house organ, featuring press release journalism, a voice for wealth, power and privilege exclusively.
It’s a leading Putin critic - maliciously bashing him irresponsibly, substituting misinformation and Big Lies for legitimate reporting and opinion.
It fears evidence showing terrorism responsible for downing Russia’s Metrojet airliner (yet to be proved or disproved) may steel Putin’s resolve for greater efforts to defeat it - involving him more in Middle East affairs, challenging Washington imperial agenda effectively for the first time in memory.

US policies are consistent, the greatest ever threat to world peace and stability, verboten notions, endless wars prioritized.
On November 8, the Wall Street Journal headlined “US Military Officials Aim to Bolster Troop Presence in Europe” - to deter a nonexistent Russian threat.
Pentagon commanders “proposed sending more forces into Europe on a rotating basis to build up the American presence and are stepping up training exercises to counter potential Russian interference with troop transfers in the event of a crisis with Moscow,” said the Journal.
Hyping a nonexistent Russian threat combined with provocative actions risk direct East-West confrontation. NATO commander General Philip Breedlove said decisions on greater US troop deployments will be made “in the next couple of months.”
