A Month of World Decision Centered in Manhattan

September 17th, 2015

LaRouchePac

Sept. 10 (EIRNS)-Manhattan will be a center of gravity for the entirety of world history, during an extraordinary month which will begin with a major meeting featuring Lyndon LaRouche and prominent guests in a dialogue with a Manhattan audience this Saturday, Sept. 12, followed by United Nations proceedings culminating in the 70th General Assembly General Debate from Sept. 28-Oct 6. On the first day of that debate, Vladimir Putin is expected to make a proposal for an effective coalition against ISIS and terrorism. Obama would address the General Assembly on the same day, Sept. 28, if he is still President then-but we have it in our hands to ensure that he will no longer be President, having been removed from office by Constitutional means.

Western Media Ignore US Responsibility for Refugee Crisis

September 17th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Post-9/11 Internal and external human floods followed Bush aggression on Afghanistan and Iraq, then Obama continuing his wars and his own on Libya, Syria, Donbass, Yemen and complicit with Israel on Palestine, as well as other turbulent hot spots caused by Washington’s imperial agenda.

Major media explain nothing about why people flee countries of origin for safe havens elsewhere. They ignore millions of Palestinian refugees, forcibly displaced internally, in neighboring countries and elsewhere by Israeli aggression since 1947-48. Or the millions of Mexicans and other Latinos forced north to America by economic, not hot wars. Or over a million Ukrainian refugees Russia accepted following Obama’s war on Donbass, most remaining - humanely treated, given proper food, shelter and medical care.

Support for Hillary Clinton Plunging

September 17th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

New ABC New/Washington Post poll numbers released Monday show Clinton’s support fast eroding. Whether she’ll end up damaged goods too discredited to win remains to be seen.

Maybe her disturbing past caught up with her. It’s hard imagining a worse presidential choice. Previous articles discussed her loathsome record as US senator and secretary of state - a war goddess beholden solely to monied interests at the expense of most others, especially America’s most disadvantaged. A Clinton presidency assures continuing Bush/Obama wars as well as endless new ones - maybe challenging Iran, Russia and/or China belligerently, lunacy if happens.

US Petition Drive to Arrest Netanyahu

September 17th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

On Friday, Netanyahu left London and headed home. He met with Prime Minister David Cameron, British MPs and Jewish community leaders.

A petition to arrest him got over 110,000 signatures so far. His longstanding record of high crimes demands accountability. Instead he was treated like an honored guest - an appalling display of indifference to Palestinian suffering.

A US petition to arrest him began circulating - ahead of his scheduled UN General Assembly address in New York later this month. It aims for 100,000 signatures or more before his arrival - sending a message saying his genocidal crimes can’t be ignored.

Refugees or Humanity Marching under Razor Wires

September 16th, 2015

Mahboob A. Khawaja, PhD.

Besieged Humanity: From Nowhere to Nowhere

International institutions of peace and security are fraught with indifference and incapacity to deal with the emerging humanitarian crises. What led to the making of Two World Wars is happening again to repeat the history. Humanity is victimized and its freedom is barbed wired to seek help. With marked difference, refugees are often identified as “economic migrant” as if Europeans were the glittering gold mines of the 21st century economic prosperity. The EU has policies and practices but not for the Arab-Muslim refugees to come to Europe. Nobody dares to face the pertinent reality ahead of the global political changes. Mostly Muslims and highly cultured and civilized people dragged at gunpoint out of their ancestral homes into the nowhere. Sailing on rubber dingy across oceans because unwanted wars and conflicts made them displaced and unwanted everywhere.

Netanyahu Escalates War on Palestine

September 16th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Israeli desecration of Islam’s third holiest site continued for a second day. Soldiers and police attacked Al Aqsa Mosque worshippers, terrorizing them - on the phony pretext of conducting a security operation, to let Zionist zealots enter where they don’t belong.

A longstanding agreement with the Islamic trust in charge of Al-Aqsa permits Jewish prayer only at the neighboring Western Wall, the Second Temple’s last remnant.

Israeli authorities systematically breach all agreements it makes. Heavily protected extremist settlers are escorted into Al-Aqsa’s compound regularly, ignoring Palestinian and overall Arab street anger. Clashes, injuries and arrests follow every time. Al-Aqsa director Sheikh Omar al-Kiswani accused Israel of “impos(ing) sovereignty over it by the power of (brute) force.”

CHINA'S 'NEW SILK ROAD' OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT IS KEY TO PEACE AND PROSPERITY, AND THE ALTERNATIVE TO NUCLEAR WAR

September 16th, 2015

LaRouchePac

September 11-Former U.S. Sen. Mike
Gravel (D-Alaska) will speak at the UN on Monday, Sept. 14 on the benefits of China's "New Silk Road: One Belt, One Road" program of Eurasian infrastructure development and technological modernization. .

"Such a plan for global development is crucial at this time," said Senator Gravel, "and the United States should join it. There is a threat of thermonuclear war between Russia and the United States arising from Syria and other situations, and also of war confrontation between the United States and China. Under President Obama the United States is exacerbating these confrontations. Mankind could not survive a nuclear war and its after-effects. Conflicts among nations in the age of thermonuclear weapons must be addressed by joint efforts for economic development through broad investments in rising productivity and living standards and new technologies.

Israel Denies 1,500 Sick Palestinian Prisoners Medical Care

September 16th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Israel arbitrarily arrests, detains and tortures Palestinian men, women and children for wanting fundamental freedoms on their own land in their own country. Thousands of political prisoners languish in its gulag - denied all rights including essential medical treatment when ill.

Over 1,500 Palestinian prisoners are sick and/or disabled, scores in serious condition. Israel denies them vitally needed healthcare. Except for aspirin or other largely ineffective pain killers, detainees must either buy their own medications, if permitted, or go untreated. They’re left to suffer, slowly wither and perish, usually after release when they’re too far gone - to save Israel the embarrassment of many prison deaths.

Refugees Should Seek Refuge In Synagogues

September 16th, 2015

By Gilad Atzmon

Yesterday Germany turned on Britain over the migrant crisis. Germany expects to accept 800,000 asylum seekers by the end of the year. Britain is also preparing for the growing refugee disaster -- It closed its gates. The German call makes some sense I must admit. After all, it was Tony Blair and his Labour Government that launched the criminal war that led to this global humanitarian crisis. But Blair wasn’t alone. In fact he was merely a Sabbos Goy.

When Blair took Britain into Iraq his chief fundraises were Lord cash point Levy of the Labour Friends Of Israel. Jewish Chronicle writers David Aaronovitch and Nick Cohen were the prime advocates for the immoral interventionist wars in the British media and beyond. Since then, we have seen the Jewish lobby openly pushing for more and more wars (Syria, Iran, Libya etc.). In France it was the CRIF and Bernard Henri Levy that pushed for the intervention in Libya that has turned the Mediterranean Sea into a death trap.

Bashing Jeremy Corbyn

September 16th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

British Prime Minister David Cameron called Corbyn a threat to national security. More on what he said below.

For the first time in decades, British politics got interesting. Whether Corbyn’s astonishing rise from longtime backbencher to near-overnight Labour party leadership makes a difference remains to be seen.

One man with perhaps a handful of party supporters trying to change an entrenched system run by powerful monied interests is a daunting task and then some.

Blairites, Thatcherites and media scoundrels oppose him. Labour party supporters are tagged with the pejorative “Corbynista.” “Corbynism” is called isolationist and anti-British.
