The Trans-Atlantic Financial System Is Bankrupt, Not Greece

July 9th, 2015

LaRouche

With much of the world in a dither over hourly developments around Greece, Lyndon LaRouche today cut through to the heart of the matter:

"Let's get real. The Greeks will never pay their illegitimate debt. They have no reason to pay, and they can't afford to pay. And it is the entire trans-Atlantic financial system which is bankrupt, not Greece."LaRouche stated that this includes the United States, which is entirely bankrupt. Wall Street is totally bankrupt; it represents no wealth, it has no real funds, and deserves zero support. The collapse of the Euro system is underway, and is having chain-reaction effects across the trans-Atlantic region—only some part of South America may make it.

New U.S. National Military Strategy: U.S. May Invade Any Non-‘Ally’

July 8th, 2015

Eric Zuesse

On July 1st, the White House, Joint Chiefs of Staff, issued “The National Military Strategy of the United States of America 2015” (officially dated June 2015), and at its top is:

"U.S. ENDURING NATIONAL INTERESTS: The security of the United States, its citizens, and U.S. allies and partners."

In other words: protection of Americans is neither more nor less important to the U.S. Government than is protection of “U.S. allies and partners.” All of them are at the very top, as "U.S. ENDURING NATIONAL INTERESTS.”

America’s Founders didn’t agree with the Obama Administration’s view on this. George Washington’s famous Farewell Address asserted that, ”It is our true policy to steer clear of permanent alliance with any portion of the foreign world”; and the third President Thomas Jefferson said in his equally famous Inaugural Address, that there should be “Peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations — entangling alliances with none.” Instead, of that view, Obama now wants “entangling alliances” with anti-BRICS nations in Europe via his proposed TTIP treaty, and with anti-BRICS nations in Asia via his proposed TPP treaty, plus anti-BRICS nations worlwide via his proposed TISA treaty for service-industries. So, he told graduating cadets at West Point, on 28 May 2014, that they will be fighting not only against America’s enemies, but also against America’s economic competitors — that these future U.S. military officers will be serving as muscle abroad, for U.S.-headquartered international corporations:

Ukrainian Govt. Acknowledges Some of Its Leaders Are Nazis

July 8th, 2015

Eric Zuesse

On July 3rd, the Ukrainian newspaper Vesti headlined “The Ministry of Justice Acknowledges UNA-UNSO Collaborated with Nazis,” and reported that, “Ukraine’s Ministry of Justice has officially recognized that the members of the Ukrainian nationalist organization UNA-UNSO fought on the side of Nazi Germany during the Great Patriotic War.” It went on to note that, “On May 22 of last year, the State Registration Service renamed the party of UNA-UNSO as the Right Sector Party, which is led by Dmitriy Yarosh.”

Yarosh was appointed by the U.S.-organized Ukrainian coup in February 2014 to serve as the active head of the Security Bureau of Ukraine, working directly under the newly appointed Chief of State Security, Andrei Parubiy, who had co-founded Ukraine’s other nazi party, the Social Nationalist Party of Ukraine. The SNPU had already changed its name in 2004 to “Freedom” or “Svoboda,” on the advice of the U.S. CIA, because a name patterned after the National Socialist Party of Germany wouldn’t look good in the U.S. But inside Ukraine, Yarosh’s people were bold about their anti-Russian nazism, and even proud to be teaching it in the new regime’s public schools.

LaRouche: Regime-Change Assault on Greece Will Backfire; It's the Trans-Atlantic System that is Set To Explode

July 8th, 2015

LaRouche

The Troika and allied European heads of state have all fallen in line behind a suicidal scheme to use the upcoming Sunday referendum in Greece to overthrow the Tsipras government. This is the significance of the across-the-board refusal to take up the Greek government's letter to the Troika on Tuesday night, proposing a major debt write-down, and modified economic reforms, based on the weekend proposal by the European Union. Schaeuble, Merkel, Renzi, and Hollande all rejected the Greek proposal out of hand, and following a conference call among EMU finance ministers, it was formally announced that there would be no discussions with Greece prior to the Sunday referendum. The financial media, led by the Financial Times, put out a string of fraudulent stories, all aimed against Greek Prime Minister Tsipras, including wild claims that Greek voters were turning against the government. The kind of regime change that was most recently employed in Ukraine, featuring military-style black propaganda, is now being unleashed inside the EU against Greece.

Greek Bailouts for Creditors, not Economic Recovery

July 8th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Troika bandits are running a giant Ponzi scheme - wealth transfer looting of Greece's economy and population to benefit banksters violating the EU constitution prohibiting bail-outs. They violate Maastricht and Lisbon Treaty provisions.

State financing through ECB purchases of government bonds is prohibited. Article 125.1 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union forbids one member state from bailing out another, stating:

"The Union shall not be liable for or assume the commitments of central governments, regional, local or other public authorities, other bodies governed by public law, or public undertakings of any Member State, without prejudice to mutual financial guarantees for the joint execution of a specific project."

Hillary Clinton Wants BDS Campaign Undermined

July 8th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

A previous article explained Clinton threatens world peace. Among an array of presidential aspirants looking more like a police lineup than legitimate candidates, she especially stands out as pure evil - the most dangerous of the bunch.

She represents everything most people should reject - eager to destroy what's left of freedom in America while waging endless wars of aggression abroad, including the madness of possibly challenging Russia and/or China confrontationally.

She's militantly pro-Israel at the expense of denying Palestinians their fundamental rights in perpetuity by endless occupation.

Turkey Mobilized to Invade Syria?

July 8th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Syrians have suffered horrendously since Obama launched proxy war in early 2011 to replace Bashar al-Assad with a US-controlled stooge, eliminate an Israeli rival and isolate Iran with plans to topple its government ahead - perhaps the same way as against Syria or maybe by joint US/Israeli war.

Don't be fooled by ongoing nuclear talks no matter how they turn out. Washington and Israel want all regional independent governments ousted. Endless wars explain their imperial agendas.

On Monday, Press TV reported possible Turkish intervention in Syria. Thousands of troops and heavy armaments are mobilized along its border ready to invade if ordered.

Hillary Clinton Threatens World Peace

July 7th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

It's hard imagining a worse choice for the nation's highest office than presidential aspirant/unindicted war criminal Hillary Clinton - notoriously called a war goddess.

Sixteen months ahead of next year's election, she's in full campaign mode recklessly making baseless/inflammatory accusations likely influencing policies if elected.

She's part of America's lunatic fringe masquerading as a populist democrat. Earlier she threatened to "totally obliterate" Iran - meaning a peaceful nation's entire population.

"No" Supporters Win in Greece: Now What?

July 7th, 2015

by Stephen Lendman

Sunday evening in Greece should have been time for celebrations. "No" votes won decisively with over a 61% majority.

Phony corporate media polls showed the "yes" camp prevailing - to discourage "no" supporters from voting as well as swing undecided ones to accept Troika demands.

At the same time, heavy-handed Troika and corporate media tactics bombarded Greeks with relentless fear-mongering, Big Lies and threats for voting "no."

It didn't work. In this respect, Sunday's vote was a huge triumph. Ordinary people had some say over their futures - a moment of democracy in an ocean of monied-controlled tyranny. Hold the cheers.

AP Shames Merkel on Greece; LaRouche Urges Story Be Spread

July 7th, 2015

By larouchepac.com

EIR Founding Editor Lyndon LaRouche, whose July 1 statement, "The Trans-Atlantic Financial System Is Bankrupt, Not Greece," has circulated and been echoed widely from www.LaRouchePAC.com, today urged the widest circulation of an Associated Press article which recommends an emergency debt conference for Greece.

The article's headline is "Germany resists debt relief for Greece, but benefited from such a plan after WWII," referring to the 1953 London Debt Conference which arranged the writeoff of half of all German debt going back to the post-World War I period, and helped unleash the "German Economic Miracle" of the 1950s through 1970s.

Among others locations, the AP report appeared at USNews on July 2, just as the IMF reluctantly made public its [leaked] staff report which acknowledged that at least 50-60 billion euros of Greece's unpayable debt has to be relieved. That would be only 20% of Greece's current debt, but Germany received relief from nearly half of its debt in 1953, when Greece was one of its creditors.
