To Stop World War, Nuland Must Be Replaced Immediately

December 9th, 2014

larouchepac

President Barack Obama has shamelessly flaunted his British neo-conservative colors in his enthusiastic backing for Victoria Nuland, in her prominent role in provoking a direct confrontation with Russia. Her efforts have now reached the point that her continuation as Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs leaves the world on the edge of global showdown, including the growing prospect of a thermonuclear war of extinction.

Lyndon LaRouche on Friday demanded her immediate removal. "Nuland has to be removed from her post. By doing that we reduce the immediate danger of world war," LaRouche declared. LaRouche also cited German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose own reckless attacks on Russian President Putin have contributed greatly to the intensified war danger.

Jewish Settler Violence Betrays Traditional Judaic Ethics And Zionist Ideology Repudiates All Democratic Precepts

December 9th, 2014

William Hanna

“Traditional ethical thinking assumes that this sacred canopy provides the context for all of human life. God's authority is the ultimate justification for any ethical norms. All things are created by God and have a set place and purpose in the universe. Every being has a nature or an essence that defines its purpose in the grand scheme of things. The ultimate standard of human behaviour is to fulfil this purpose. By fulfilling this purpose, each individual human will realise his or her full potential and be the best human that he or she can be. Behaviours and habits that fulfil this purpose are known as virtues while those that frustrate this purpose are known as vices. For traditional ethics, the idea that a behaviour helps a person to be the best they can be and live the good life is the ultimate justification for a moral norm. Traditional ethics tends to be expressed in a series of prohibited activities which ‘thou shalt not’ do and a series of virtues that point a person in the direction of the best possible life.”

Kissinger Geopolitics

December 8th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

At age 91, maybe senility set in. Or a time of reflection. At the same time, trying to have things both ways. More on this below.

Nobel Peace Prize. Exceeded perhaps only by Obama.

The scope of their crimes is breathtaking. Kissinger's rap sheet includes:

Kissinger was one of the most notorious war criminals ever to win the Nobel Peace Prize. Exceeded perhaps only by Obama.

Israel's Gaza War Continues

December 8th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

State terror is official Israeli policy. Gaza war never ended. Israel breached ceasefire terms straightaway. Repeated violations occur.

Agreements it signs aren't worth the paper they're written on. Rogue states operate this way.

In late August, both sides agreed to open-ended Operation Protective Edge (OPE) ceasefire terms.

Peace talks resuming in Cairo for final resolution. Nothing whatever was accomplished. Peace hangs in the balance.

Israel's war on Gaza continues. Terms it agreed to proved meaningless. Including opening border crossings. They're largely closed. Same as pre-war.

Israel blocks "the rapid entry of humanitarian aid." Construction materials for rebuilding aren't forthcoming.

Obama v. Venezuela's Maduro

December 8th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

Washington considers Venezuela its main hemispheric adversary. Concerned about the threat of a good example.

Shaming its northern neighbor. A sham democracy. Repressive. Hugely unequal. Belligerent. Waging war on freedom. Threatening world peace. Venezuela is polar opposite.

In an April 2014 New York Times op-ed, President Nicolas Maduro explained forthrightly. Saying "Venezuelans are proud of our democracy."

"We have built a participatory democratic movement from the grass roots that has ensured that both power and resources are equitably distributed among our people."

The Rise of German Imperialism and the Phony “Russian Threat”

December 7th, 2014

James Petras

Introduction

The principle Nazi ideological prop that secured massive financial and political support from Germany’s leading industrialists was the Communist and Soviet threat. The main Nazi military drive, absorbing two-thirds of its best troops, was directed eastward at conquering and destroying Russia. The ‘Russian Threat’ justified Nazi Germany’s conquest and occupation of the Ukraine, the Balkans, Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, with the aid of a substantial proportion of local Nazi collaborators.

After Germany’s defeat , division and disarmament, and with the extension of Soviet power, the US reinstated the Nazi industrial and banking giants, officials and intelligence operatives. At first they were engaged in rebuilding their domestic economy and consolidating political power, in collaboration with the US military occupation forces.

Political Prisoners in America and Israel

December 7th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

Thousands languish in their gulags. Among the worst worldwide. For supporting human rights. Voicing dissent. Opposing what no one should support.

Denouncing police state practices. Wanting brutalized people liberated. Urging others to get active for freedom.

Demand fundamental change. For rights everyone deserves. Affirmed under international law.

Real democracy. Not fantasy illusion. Government of, by and for everyone equitably.

America and Israel oppose these notions. Criminalize them irresponsibly. Subject offenders to brutalizing treatment.

Risking Possible Bloodbath in Palestine

December 7th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

Persecuted people take only so much before resisting. What begins slowly can become mass rebellion.

Palestine had two intifadas. Some observers call current unrest the beginning of a third. BDS support targets Israel economically.

From the grassroots. A battle at a time. Achieving important successes. Hitting Israel where it hurts most.

Polar opposite Western complicity. Partnering with Israeli crimes. Atrocities too serious to ignore.

Virtually every imaginable civil and human rights abuse. Against millions of defenseless Palestinians.
