For whatever its accomplishments and intricacies, Western Civilization has been based on (1) the exploitation of people and the environment, and (2) the attempt of constant expansion -- geographically, quantitatively, and in the mind.
This expression has had such a long run that it has comprised all conventional history. All the while, civilization as top-down exploitation and expansion has been ratcheting up spectacularly, especially in recent decades, despite -- and partly because of -- fast-shrinking resource limits. Climate instability is barely beginning to act as a brake.
The relatively slow process of civilization's march via exploitation and expansion has finally graduated and adapted to something unanticipated little over a century ago: mass consumption.
Abetted by frantic corporate competition, governmental accommodation, and just-in-time distribution advances, mass consumption has become the dominant feature of Western Civilization. Globalized culture has rapidly changed accordingly. If seen from the outside, consumption has been a frenzy and an end in itself.

It bears repeating what other articles stressed. No nation in world history caused more harm to more people over a longer duration than America.
None more give rogue state governance new meaning. None wage more wars. None more affirm them as official policy.
Permanent ones. Aggressive ones. Lawless ones. Preemptive ones against invented enemies posing America no harm.
No nation more recklessly threatens world peace. None more egregiously breach fundamental rule of law principles.
None are more ruthless. More reckless. More malicious. More merciless. More brutal. More barbarous. More sanctimonious.

Speech, press and academic freedoms are fundamental. They're our most precious rights. Without them all others are endangered.
Candidate Obama pledged "change you can believe in." He promised hope. He did Lincoln one better. He fooled most people enough times to matter.
"Yes we can" conceals his dark side duplicity. He made America look like Guatemala. He transformed NSA into America's Stasi.
He promised transparency, accountability, and reform. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
He called it "the best source of information about waste, fraud, and abuse." He said whistleblowing reflects "acts of courage and patriotism."
"Often the best source of information about (government wrongdoing) is an existing employee committed to public integrity willing to speak out."
"We need to empower federal employees as watchdogs of wrongdoing and partners in performance."

For all the speculation swirling around the Minsk Agreement and the Minsk Protocol, it is essential to keep one very salient fact in mind. The western blather about how the Russians are pulling the strings and is simply so much hot air—and not the kind that might help Ukraine through the bitter cold of this winter. Even Putin and his circle are mistaken if they truly think they can put Humpty Dumpty back together again—though I suspect they may already know this and are engaging in some posturing around the issue.
The plain fact is that the idea of a unitary state called Ukraine is completely dead, and there is no Lazarus Protocol waiting in the wings (hence the Monty Python inspired title). Whatever form it takes, however long the process is dragged out, and no matter the pressures that are applied to put the genie back in the bottle, the bell simply cannot be unrung.

Introduction
Despite vast amounts of imperial data to the contrary, the great majority of writers on imperialism continue to describe and analyze US imperialism strictly in economic terms, as an expansion of “capital accumulation”, “accumulation on a world scale”.
In fact the major and minor US imperial wars have more to do with “capital dis-accumulation”, in the sense that trillion dollar flows have gone out from the US, hundreds of billions of dollars in profits from resource sites have been undermined, markets for exports have been severely weakened and exploitable productive labor has been uprooted. At the same time US imperialist state ‘dis-accumulates capital’, multi-national corporations, especially in the extractive sector are expanding, “accumulating capital” throughout Latin America.
This new configuration of power, the conflicting and complementary nature of 21st century US imperialism, requires that we anchor our analysis in the real, existing behavior of imperial state and extractive capitalist policymakers. The basic premise informing this essay is that there are two increasingly divergent forms of imperialism: military driven intervention, occupation and domination; and economic expansion and exploitation of resources, markets and labor by invitation of the ‘host country’.

International, constitutional and US statute laws aren't ambiguous. They don't leave wiggle room.
They're clear and unequivocal. No nation may attack another except in self-defense.
None may do so without Security Council approval. Presidents can't authorize war. Nor Congress. Nor US courts at the highest level.
Claims otherwise are false. America's last legal war was WW II. Obama's wars are brazenly lawless.
They have no legitimacy whatever. They constitute premeditated naked aggression. They're Nuremberg-level crimes. The supreme crime against peace.
Don't expect media scoundrels to explain. They support what demands unequivocal denunciation. Failure to do so constitutes complicity with the highest of high crimes.
Media scoundrels cheerlead them. They regurgitate Big Lies doing so. Last week's headlines featured a so-called Khorasan Group.

The late Gore Vidal called The Times the "Typhoid Mary of American journalism" for good reason.
The so-called "newspaper of record" is more laughing stock than source for legitimate journalism.
Its news, information and analysis are heavily filtered. Fiction and popular myths substitute for facts.
Monied interests are supported at the expense of popular ones. Vital truths are systematically buried.
Managed news misinformation substitutes. So do Big Lies on issues mattering most.
Imperial wars are called liberating ones. Ravaging and destroying one nation after another is considered humanitarian intervention.
Wars are supported in the name of peace. Might justifies right. Plunder is called economic development.
Civil liberties are suppressed for our own good. Irresponsible government and corporate interests are wholeheartedly endorsed. Beneficial social change is considered heresy.
The market (aka as casino capitalism) works best so let it, we're told. Patriotism means supporting Washington right or wrong.

New 9/11 Data Dump
“This 9/11 data dump is so radioactive the US Government will likely collapse. The world will never be the same when nations everywhere see this report!”
– Veteran 9/11 Investigator
Huge caverns of “melted granite” were found below the foundations of the Twin Towers. Were they caused by thermo-nuclear explosions detonated to obliterate the steel reinforced, cast concrete, tubular core structure of WTC Buildings 1 & 2?
The evidence is now clear and indisputable that the false flag operation carried out on September 11, 2001 was a multi-nation conspiracy. The USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia and UK have each been proven to be directly involved with the execution and coverup of this crime against humanity.
There were other state actors and intelligence agencies involved such as Pakistan’s ISI; however, the US Federal Government and Israeli Secret Services are by far the most complicit. The voluminous amount of circumstantial evidence alone both indicts and convicts the US Government of crimes against its own citizenry. Likewise, Israel’s fingerprints are all over the 9/11 crime scene and directly related criminal activities.

The results are in. The official tally is complete and the winner announced.
According to an opinion piece in in Bloomberg News (9/26), Russian President Vladimir Putin is the victor in the conflict in Ukraine (Bloomberg News, Ukraine Can't Hide Putin's Victory, Leonid Barshefky, 9/26),.
Clearly, Putin comes out ahead in this conflict but the real winners are the people of the eastern Ukraine and their resistance militia. Resistance forces fought brilliantly against much larger, better-equipped troops dispatched by the Kiev junta to assault people in cities and towns it declared terrorists. The terrorist acts consisted of political opposition to Ukraine's ruling neo Nazis and oligarchs along with an expressed desire for self-rule. The United States puppets in Kiev started the violence. The people of the east finished it, decisively.
