Ukraine Fasist and Regular Army Troops Leave Battle and Head for Maidan

September 4th, 2014

Michael Collins
uglier

Ukraine may be headed for another round of Maidan Square protests that dwarf those seen in February. Regular army soldiers and special fascist punisher battalions are leaving the battle field with a very bad attitude toward the government of United States puppet, President Petro Poroshenko. (Image)

Things are not going well for the United States backed government in Kiev, Ukraine. Early last week, President Poroshenko spoke confidently of wrapping up the so-called Anti Terrorist Operation (ATO) in the eastern part of the country by August 24, Ukraine's independence day. Instead of a victory parade after pummeling the large eastern cities of Donetsk and Lugansk into the ground, eastern resistance forces upstaged the Kiev celebration. The militia of the Donetsk Peoples Republic marched captured Kiev army troops down the main street of that city in their own independence celebration. Poroshenko's conquest was foiled.

Question 3 for 9/11 Smarties: Why was The 2001 Invasion of Iraq called off on September 11, 2001?

September 4th, 2014

By Elizabeth Young
911 is without a doubt the most written about, analyzed and discussed conspiracy in the history of mankind. Yes, even the official story:

Nineteen fanatical Arab hijackers, masterminded by an evil genius named Osama bin Laden, crashed airplanes into important buildings in the N.E. sector in the United States because they “hate our freedoms,”

is a conspiracy between Osama Bin Laden (who isn’t even wanted by the FBI [1q]) and the Arab terrorists who the U.S. government claims hijacked planes and crashed them in to important buildings in the N.E. sector in the United States.

“Conspiracy” is a REAL word for a REAL act that has existed in human societies in all cultures throughout human history. If conspiracies did not exist, we would not have a word for it. The problem that we face today is that the US Government has arrogated to itself a singular role as a political pontificate that believes that it and its agents in the Justice Department, alone, constitute the only “person” (corporate person) on this Earth who is allowed to use the word “conspiracy” as it employs the charge of “conspiracy” every week in trials to put both guilty and innocent people in jail while deriding and discrediting all others who employ the word as “conspiracy theorists.” (Paris Flammonde) [2q]

There are inside, outside and even outside inside stories (conspiracy theories) about what really happened on 911.

Test your knowledge of the September 11, 2001 stories and see if you can spot the Terrorist Job (the story), The Inside Job/Global Domination (the story behind the story), The Exotic Weapon story (another story behind the story) or The Metaphysical story (the story behind the story behind the story behind the story!).

Question 3. Why was the 2001 invasion of Iraq called off 5 hours after the 2nd tower collapsed? The USS Carl Vinson was in the Persian Gulf with orders to invade Iraq. Logic would dictate the invasion would go forward when the buildings were destroyed and not be called off. [10b]

Kiev Fascists Murder Russian Journalist

September 4th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

Russian photojournalist Andrew Stenin was found dead in Southeastern Ukraine. He was murdered in cold blood. More on what happened below.

Obama's new friends are cold-blooded killers. They're waging war on freedom. They're killing civilians.

They want all opposition elements crushed. They want fascist rule institutionalized.

They want democracy in name only. They want it prevented at all costs.

They want all independent news sources suppressed. They want their message alone getting out.

They harass, beat, terrorize, abduct and murder independent journalists. Russian ones are most vulnerable.

On August 5, Russian photojournalist Andrew Stenin went missing. He was working in Southeastern Ukraine for Russia's International Information Agency Rossiya Segdnya.

America's Aristocrats Declare Victory Against the Public; They War Now Mainly Against One-Another

September 4th, 2014

Eric Zuesse

On August 31st, the Republican political site Politico bannered “Wall Street Republicans' Dark Secret: Hillary Clinton 2016,” and Ben White and Maggie Haberman delivered a blockbuster report about the big-money Republican donors they had talked to, who confided (not for specific attribution, though) that they might finance Hillary Clinton to become President, if Jeb Bush announces after November's mid-terms that he won't run for the Republican Presidential nomination. Ms. Clinton is so appealing to Republican aristocrats, many of them will back her if Republicans won't nominate Bush.

Of course, virtually all Democratic aristocrats are already pouring money into the place-holding fundraising campaign for Clinton's expected entrance into the Democratic Presidential contest.

This means that virtually the entire aristocracy will be flooding Clinton's Presidential war-chest, unless Jeb Bush seeks the Republican nomination.

Why ‘Reform’ of American Education Is Failing: There Is No Authentic Accountability

September 4th, 2014

Eric Zuesse

Diane Ravitch Condemns 'Accountability', I Dissent, She Responds. So: Let’s All Discuss It Now.

On August 29th, America's leading voice on 'reform' of k-12 education condemned President Obama for being supportive of 'accountability' in our educational system. Headlining "Why Is the Obama Administration Making War on Teachers," she closed by wondering, "Why did President Obama embrace the Republican agenda of testing, accountability, and choice?" She blanket-condemned there all three of those.

In a reader-comment (as "cettel22"), I responded to another reader's comment, which seemed to be endorsing Ravitch's opposition to "accountability." I pointed out that a falsely-measured 'accountability' should not be understood as diminishing the value of truthfully-measured accountability:

Israel Breaches Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

September 4th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

Israeli agreements aren't worth the paper they're written on. Straightaway Gaza ceasefire agreed on terms were violated.

Twelve Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) activists were arrested. Their whereabouts remains unknown.

Days earlier, Israeli soldiers targeted Palestinian Legislative Council (PLC) member Khalida Jarrar in Ramallah.

She's ordered deported to Jericho for six months. She got 24 hours to leave.

Israel wrongfully accused her of "pos(ing) a threat to the security of the region, so she must be put under special monitoring." More on Jarrar below.

On September 2, Israeli warships used live fire against Palestinian fishermen off Gaza's coast. They did so in flagrant violation of Operation Protective Edge ceasefire terms.

It permits fishing within a six nautical mile limit. They were well inside it. They escaped injury.

An IDF spokeswoman lied claiming they "deviated from the designated fishing zone.

Israel breached its pledge to ease Gaza's blockade. Palestinians report business as usual.

Castro Compares NATO to Nazis

September 4th, 2014

by Stephen Lendman

In a Monday Cuba state media article, Castro accused Washington and EU allies of warmongering.

He compared NATO to Hitler's SS. More on what he said below.

At age 88, Castro is outspoken on geopolitical issues mattering most. His intellect remains keen.

His honesty and integrity are impeccable. His forthrightness is noteworthy. His knowledge of vital issues is impressive.

He survived hundreds of US attempts to kill him, a punishing embargo and countless other hostile acts.

In 2006, illness forced him to step down. Reports at the time erroneously pronounced him dead or dying.

Question 2 for 9/11 Smarties: Where did the energy come from on September 11, 2001?

Question 2. Where did the energy come from that could explain: 1) the toasted cars, 2) the instant disappearance of people and 3) how two 110-story buildings and one 47 story building, approximately 50 million tons of mass, of which about 40 million tons NEVER hit the ground and turned largely to dust; i.e., the molecular dissociation of steel beams and concrete?

Option 1 - Two Boeing jumbo jets fully loaded with jet fuel, which is basically kerosene that burns at about 400c, on 9/11, took on the qualities of an explosive demolition agent.

Even the Council on Foreign Relations Is Saying It: Time to Rain Money on Main Street

September 3rd, 2014

by Ellen Brown

You can always count on Americans to do the right thing, after they’ve tried everything else. —Winston Churchill

When an article appears in Foreign Affairs, the mouthpiece of the policy-setting Council on Foreign Relations, recommending that the Federal Reserve do a money drop directly on the 99%, you know the central bank must be down to its last bullet.

The September/October issue of Foreign Affairs features an article by Mark Blyth and Eric Lonergan titled “Print Less But Transfer More: Why Central Banks Should Give Money Directly To The People.” It’s the sort of thing normally heard only from money reformers and Social Credit enthusiasts far from the mainstream. What’s going on?

Latin America and the Paradoxes of Anti-Imperialism and Class Struggle

September 3rd, 2014

James Petras

The complexities of the new political relations in Latin America require that we breakdown what previously was the unified components of anti-imperialist politics.

For example in the past, anti-imperialist regimes pursued policies which opposed US military aggression and intervention in Latin America and throughout the third world; opposed foreign investment especially in extractive sectors; and, not infrequently, expropriated or nationalized strategic sectors; opposed joint military exercises and training missions; supported nationalist liberation movements and extended political – material support; diversified trade and investment to other economic regions and countries; developed regional political organizations which opposed imperialism and formed regional economic organizations which excluded the US.
