What kind of country do we now inhabit? Where I live, a small city of 60,000, there is absolutely nothing reminiscent of the world I once knew. This town is one of boxstores, strip malls, third rate mass transit (duh, like hardly any), and subdivisions where few even know one another, let alone socialize that much. Even the suburbia of my youth offered more than this… yet they tell us we have evolved in this 21st century whereupon Wal-Mart has become the new city market!
I’m a dinosaur from the village of Avenue U in the city of Brooklyn (called borough despite its population of nearly three million). Got that? Now I realize this doesn’t make sense to anyone who never lived in such a place. A village in such an urban environment? What gives? You see, we dinosaurs roamed around in a much more viable and practical place than you do now in this Amerika in the Age of Empire.

I realize that the title of this article might offend and provoke many people, especially those adhering to the Judaic faith.
I do know that Jews, like everyone else, are not carbon copies of each other. There are many conscientious Jews who believe in fairness and basic human equality regardless of color, race and faith, and strongly reject racism and chauvinism in any form.
These people I salute for their rectitude, humanity and morality. They are our natural partners for peace and a better tomorrow for our children and their children.
But there are numerous other Jews who don't believe in human equality and justice for all. Indeed, there are many Jews, e.g. followers of the hateful Chabad sect, who don't even ascribe full humanity to people who are not members of the Jewish faith.

Russia is going all-out to deliver vitally needed humanitarian aid to beleaguered Southeastern Ukrainians.
In collusion with Washington, Kiev so far blocked it. Reasons given ring hollow.
Obama officials and their illegitimate fascist allies want war without mercy continued. They want pain and suffering increased.
They want freedom fighting democrats crushed. They want state terror intensified.
They want desperate Ukrainian civilians denied food, clean water, medicines, medical supplies, and power generators, as well as other vitally needed items to survive Kiev's lawless aggression.
Putschist prime minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Ukraine can accept humanitarian aid solely from the Red Cross.
He lied claiming Kiev is "delivering first necessity items to all the liberated areas."

The latest 72-hour ceasefire expired at midnight Wednesday local time. Both sides agreed to extend it another five days.
They did so despite seemingly irreconcilable differences. Hamas, other resistance groups, millions of occupied and diaspora Palestinians, as well as growing world public opinion want Gaza's siege unconditionally lifted.
Palestinians want unrestricted movement of people and goods, a seaport to facilitate imports and exports, fishing zones extended, and control over their borders, coastline, air space and resources.
They want long denied fundamental rights. Israel remains hardline. It refuses to offer nothing but token relief too little to matter.
It wants Gaza demilitarized. It wants Hamas and other resistance groups defenseless against certain future Israeli aggression.

The most significant history of Russian-German relations is written in blood.
Hitler's invasion of Russia caused the deaths of 26 million Russians, civilian and military, out of a 1940 population of 192 million. Between 9.0 and 14. million Russians soldiers died fighting the Nazi hordes. These losses were part of the larger Russian effort to defeat Hitler and save Europe and the rest of the world form a 1000 year Reich. Without Russia's military brilliance, bravery and sacrifice, it is difficult to imagine the fall of Berlin, the Nuremberg trials, and the recovery of Western Europe. Absent Russian efforts and sacrifice, there would have been no Europe to recover, just the brutality and banality of Nazi miscreants.
In this context, it is easy to imagine Russian dismay then outrage at German subservience to the United States neoconservative plot to establish a virulently anti-Russian, fascist government in Ukraine.
The following appeal to Germany by Russian journalist Egor Provirmin offers an eloquent argument for a new German enlightenment regarding the realities and reciprocal obligations in current and future Russian-German relations.

Argentina has now taken the US to The Hague for blocking the country’s 2005 settlement with the bulk of its creditors. The issue underscores the need for an international mechanism for nations to go bankrupt. Better yet would be a sustainable global monetary scheme that avoids the need for sovereign bankruptcy.
Argentina was the richest country in Latin America before decades of neoliberal and IMF-imposed economic policies drowned it in debt. A severe crisis in 2001 plunged it into the largest sovereign debt default in history. In 2005, it renegotiated its debt with most of its creditors at a 70% “haircut.” But the opportunist “vulture funds,” which had bought Argentine debt at distressed prices, held out for 100 cents on the dollar.

For many decades, Israel waged genocidal war against millions of defenseless Palestinians with impunity.
Accountability is long overdue. High crimes against peace were committed. Culpable Israeli officials must be punished to the full extent of the law.
The global boycott, divestment and sanctions movement for freedom, justice and equality works. Applying them with stepped up teeth more than ever is vital.
It bears repeating what other articles stressed. Israel is a lawless, racist, apartheid, rogue terror state. It must be held accountable for collectively punishing Palestinians lawlessly.

At midnight local time Wednesday, the current 72-hour ceasefire ends unless extended or both sides agree on what's been so far elusive.
According to senior Hamas official Ismail Radwan, "these three days (in Cairo) are the last opportunity as far as we are concerned."
"If there won't be advancement towards the (legitimate) demands of the Palestinian people, I anticipate the delegation will leave Cairo."
Mousa Abu Marzouq is Hamas Political Bureau deputy head. "The Palestinian side is not talking about any outcome or details of what have been discussed," he said.
"The Israeli media seems to be suffering from a diarrhea of information despite lack of results. Underestimating the Israeli stances will cause a negative, but expected, outcome."

For the third time since January 1991, America is at war with Iraq. It's ongoing lawlessly.
No nation may attack another except in self-defense. None may do so without Security Council authorization. None exists. Obama is a war criminal multiple times over.
Bombing Iraq adds another crime to his rap sheet. Reasons given don't wash. US involvement has nothing to do with humanitarian intervention or responsibility to protect. It has everything to do with protecting the interests of ExxonMobil and Chevron operations. It's about Washington wanting unchallenged regional control.

On August 11, Human Rights Council (HRC) President Baudelaire Ndong Ella announced the formation of an "independent, international commission of inquiry" into war crimes committed during Israel's Operation Protective Edge.
International human rights law expert Professor William Schabas was appointed to chair a three-person panel. His special focus is genocide.
Other members include international law, criminal law, human rights and extradition law expert, Amal Alamuddin, and former UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, Doudou Diene.
