The two government organizations did so using confidential information about the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) obtained by the UK Treasury. Based on this insider government information from Treasury, BBC then ran a story (Sep 11) about RBS leaving Scotland before the RBS board decided on its announcement. This had the clear effect of embarrassing the independence movement by showing that a major bank was leaving Scotland, which fed other scare tactics about Scotland suffering should voters choose independence and freedom.

My message to the Jews in light of the Gaza holocaus

I realize very well that Jews are not carbon copies of each other. And I also know perfectly well that there are many Jews around the world who truly despise what Israel has been doing to the Palestinian people in your name.
I earnestly commend these conscientious Jews for their morality and human decency. It is these honest and honourable people that enable us to retain the hope that counting on Jewish morality is not a lost cause.
None the less, one must be faithful to one's conscience and intellectual honesty. That is why we must recognize that there are huge numbers of Jews who have found themselves transformed thoroughly into soldiers of darkness and advocates of evil. Today, there are Jews, too many of them, who shamelessly advocate the total annihilation of the Palestinian people. We also know that yesterday, there were many non-Jews who shamelessly advocated the total annihilation of Jews.
We have seen many Jews celebrate the mass murder of Palestinian children. There is no point in denying the undeniable.
Mustafa Barghouti on Operative Protective Edge

Barghouti is a Palestinian Legislative Council/PLO member. He's a former presidential candidate. Israel rigged Abbas' 2005 election to deny him.
He was harassed while campaigning. He was intimidated. He was arrested. He was expelled from East Jerusalem.
He was excluded from Nablus and Gaza. He was prevented from competing fairly against Israel's preferred choice.

Introduction
The NATO proxy war in the Ukraine started with the violent US-EU-sponsored overthrow of the elected government via a mob putsch in February 2014. This was well financed at $5 billion, according to President Obama’s Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Victoria Nuland.
The result was a junta, composed of neo-liberal puppets, rightist nationalists and fascists, which immediately proceeded to purge the Ukrainian legislature of any politicians opposed to the coup and Kiev’s submission to the European Union and NATO. The NATO-sponsored client regime then moved swiftly to extend its control by centralizing power and overturning the official policy of bilingualism (Russian and Ukrainian) in the southeastern regions. It was preparing to break its long-standing agreement over the huge Russian naval base in Crimea and renege on its massive debts to Russia for gas and oil imports.
Washington Hawks Want Greater Military Spending
