Part I discussed spurious anti-Assad accusations. They're fake. They have no credibility whatever. Release was strategically timed.
It came two days ahead of sham Geneva II peace talks. Much ado about nothing describes them. Chances for conflict resolution are zero. More on this below.
Assad was wrongfully accused of "industrial scale killing of detainees." No verifiable evidence suggests it. None exists. Fabrications substituted.
Syria's Ministry of Justice denounced them. It called alleged evidence baseless. "The report is a mere gathering of photos of unidentified persons proving" nothing, it said.
Releasing it ahead of Geneva II was politically motivated. Doing so undermines peace.

Introduction
Ariel Sharon was a serial mass murderer, engaged in massacres of unarmed victims in four countries, of all ages and conditions. He was a “hero” for hundreds of thousands of Israeli Jews who settled on land and in houses seized from Palestinians in the West Bank. He was praised by Western leaders at his funeral for his violent, lifelong opposition to Arab nationalist movements throughout the Middle East. That he was a fanatical upholder of Jewish supremacist policies and practices did not go unnoticed by wealthy Zionist donors in the US. During his tenure as a senior official in numerous Israeli regimes, they contributed hundreds of millions of dollars for Greater Israel and extracted nearly a $100 billion more from the US Treasury. Israeli leaders praise of Sharon as a valiant, brilliant and legendary military leader is echoed in the US mass media and repeated by most Western leaders. He was, in the view of his US adulators, a powerful leader who defied world public opinion in his defense of Israel, who seized Palestinian and Syrian territory and who was willing to strike an independent policy even against Israel’s main benefactors in Europe and North America.
This essay does not simply recount Sharon’s lifelong criminal record. The story we will relate has more to do with (1)the crimes that continue to live after him; (2) the political and military context which allowed him to butcher non-Jewish populations with impunity; (3)the psychological core of Sharonist impudence and arrogance which is so deeply etched in the political psyche of all of Israel’s contemporary leaders.

An article was written yesterday for today. It was titled Iran Invited to Syria Peace Talks.
No longer. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon withdrew his invitation. He did so disgracefully.
He's a reliable imperial tool. Credibility isn't his long suit. Nor observing international law. He violates his own Charter. He bows to Washington's will. He salutes and obeys as ordered.
He supports US imperial wars. He doesn't give a damn about peace, security and stability. His agenda is polar opposite what he swore to uphold.

Times editors support the worst of US crimes of war and against humanity. Managed news misinformation substitutes for unvarnished truth.
Editorials wrongfully blame Assad for Western-supported death squad crimes. They've done so throughout nearly three years of conflict.
Obama's responsibility is ignored. Syria is his war. He launched it. He continues it. He wants regime change. So do Times editors.
On January 12, they headlined "Treading Water on Syria." They falsely called ongoing conflict "civil war." There's nothing whatever civil about it.
Syria was invaded. Death squads represent US interests. Washington offers full support. It includes funding, weapons, training and direction.

An earlier article called America a super-bully nation. It did so for good reason. It's no fit place to live in. Obama represents its dark side. He's waging war on humanity.
He's doing it belligerently, politically, economically and socially. He represents the worst of rogue leadership. So does bipartisan complicity.
Washington is a cesspool of lawlessness. It's worse than ever now. Lawmakers are ruthless. They're corrupt. They're self-serving. So are administration officials.
Government by diktat is policy. So is state terror. Rule of law principles don't matter. They're routinely violated. Anything goes defines things. Democracy exists in name only.
America tolerates none at home or abroad. It demands all nations bow to its will. Outliers are targeted for regime change.

Britain is complicit in most US wars of aggression. It's no surprise when new information surfaces. More on it below.
The July 2002 "Downing Street memo" was leaked to The Sunday Times. In May 2005, it was revealed. Its authenticity never was challenged.
Secret Washington/UK collusion was exposed. So-called intelligence claiming justification for war on Iraq was cooked to fit already agreed on policy.
Smoking gun evidence said so. Bush, Tony Blair and their close advisors lied. They falsified evidence for war on Iraq. Nonexistent WMDs were claimed.

Obama doesn't want talks for peace. He wants his rules imposed. He wants government by diktats. He wants unconditional surrender. He wants regime change.
He wants Syrians denied the right to decide who'll lead them. He wants war continued to depose Assad.
John Kerry is his front man. He matches the worst of Hillary Clinton. He represents lawless imperial arrogance. He pretends to want peace. He and Obama deplore it.
So-called talks are more sham than solution. It's not entirely clear who's coming. More on this below. Extremist elements want war, not peace.

On January 16, 2014, CNN moderator Don Lemon asked Professor William Pollack
(Clinical Psychologist, Harvard University), why are we witnessing daily carnage of civilian bloodbaths – shootings in schools, shopping malls, movie theatres and street grocery stores? What has gone wrong with the American Society? The answer Professor Pollack offered tells a lot and perhaps not too many morally conscientious Americans could disagree with. America lives in a “disconnect” world being unaware of the surrounding real world. An imaginary world of self- indulgence in a prevalent culture of cell phones, text messages, footballs match shouting and excluded entirely from the mainstream of human realities. Another female commentator explains: we are waging wars on ourselves by disregarding the world around us. Once the cell phone is turned off, we are not sure, how to cope with the impinging real world except taking out guns, shooting at random and killing the innocent people. One wonders if this is what America has come to absorb - fair as foul and foul is fair – the traditional American moral and intellectual psyche wants practical and remedial answers which nobody seem to articulate. Are the American moral and intellectual values been replaced with self-generated violence, hatred of others and self- survival of the fittest? Questions and answers on the news media come and go but the societal reality remains the same.

Israel is above the law. It's exempt for observing rule of law principles. It's free to rampage extrajudicially.
It kills and kills again. It does so with impunity. It justifies lawlessness the old-fashioned way. It lies. It's standard Israeli practice.
It calls legitimate self-defense "terrorism." It calls acts of aggression "self-defense." It calls nonviolent Palestinian men, women, children, infants, the elderly and infirm existential threats.
Israel's only ones are those it invents. World leaders able to act responsibly do nothing. They support Israel's worst crimes. Doing so makes them complicit.

Many Israelis want out. Haaretz said "almost 40 percent of (them) are thinking of emigrating." Recent polling said they'd leave if financially able.
Israeli governance combines militarism, repression, corruption, and neoliberal harshness.
It's no fit place to live in. Many Jews vote with their feet and leave. Others prepare by securing foreign passports.
Many of Israel's best and brightest go. In 2012, over 14% of Israeli science and engineering doctorate holders lived abroad for three or more years. They left to work or study.
They're in no rush to return. Many never do. It's hard getting them back once they're gone.
