Palestinians' Right to Resist

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights states "(e)veryone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." No one has the right to deny them.
Resisting lawless occupation is universally recognized. Palestinians may use "all necessary means at their disposal" to do so. More on that below.
Consider daily life. Longstanding militarized occupation is ruthless. It's criminal. It's unrelenting. It's suffocating. It's vicious. It denies Palestinians fundamental human and civil rights.
Collective punishment is policy. So is economic strangulation. Free expression, assembly and movement are denied.
Anti-Monsanto Activism

Monsanto perhaps is the world's most hated corporation. Considering the competition, it's not easy taking top honors.
GMO foods and ingredients are toxic. They're unsafe to eat. They're hazardous to human health. They should be banned. Monsanto's the leading producer.
GMOs poison people for profit. Independent studies explain. Agribusiness giants want all animal and vegetable life forms patented.
They want worldwide food control. Getting it means everything produced for human consumption won't be safe to eat. Last May, tens of thousands of people marched against Monsanto.
They did so in dozens of countries worldwide. They want consumer protections enacted. They want safe food to eat.
They want governments assuring it. They want GMO foods and ingredients labeled. Ideally they want them banned.Former Monsanto executives run the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). An obvious conflict of interest exists.
Global Financial Architecture and Economic Systems on Verge of Collapse

The foundation for the original financial architecture and economic systems of the modern era was laid over the last two to three centuries.
Much of the actual architecture and various systems were designed, engineered and constructed during a time that would be considered the Stone Age when compared to the Information Age of 2013. Herein lies the crux of the matter.
Way back in the days there were relatively few stock and bond exchanges, as well as limited currency and commodity trading. Of course, real estate investments have always been around but certainly not in the form of the Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Limited Partnerships, and Collateralized Debt Obligations that we see today.
Over the last century there has been exponential growth experienced in every single market across the globe. Equity, bond, currency, commodity, real estate, derivative to name the primaries. Each of their original trading platforms were built to accommodate a vastly different world. You could say that the foundation specs were quite minimal, especially relative to the 21st century.

If his ‘peace message’ fell flat, the explicit affirmations of imperial prerogatives, threats of military interventions and over two dozen (25) references to Israel as a ‘strategic ally’, confirmed the suspicions and fears that Obama was preparing for even more deadly wars.
Nobel Hypocrisy Repeats

Nobel Committee members broke their own rules. Peace Prize nominations "may be submitted by any person who meets the nominat(ing) criteria."
Candidates eligible to win "are those persons or organizations nominated by qualified individuals."
Nominations "must be postmarked no later than February 1 each year. Nominations postmarked and received after this date are included in the following year's discussions."
On October 11, Nobel Committee members awarded the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) its 2013 Peace Prize.
It reflects its involvement in destroying Syria's chemical weapons. It's unclear when OPCW was nominated. It was well beyond the February 1 deadlined. The organization has done little so far in Syria to deserve honoring. Its mandate has nothing to do with restoring peace.

Obamacare Compromises Privacy

The 1974 Privacy Act governs the collection, maintenance, use and dissemination of personal information maintained by federal agencies.
It prohibits disclosing it without written consent, stating:
"No (federal) agency shall disclose any record which is contained in a system of records by any means of communication to any person, or to another agency, except pursuant to a written request by, or with the prior written consent of, the individual to whom the record pertains."
Yellen's Fed Assures Business As Usual

On Wednesday, Obama nominated Janet Yellen as Fed chair. She's currently vice chairwoman. Senate confirmation is certain. It's rubber-stamp.
She'll succeed Ben Bernanke. On January 31, his second four-year term ends.
In its hundred year history, Yellen will be the first female Fed chair. According to the Central Bank Directory (CBD), 17 others head central banks globally. CBD lists 177 from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.
Yellen may be the richest central bank head. Her reported investments were at least $4.8 million in 2012. Estimates range up to around $13 million. A year later, her wealth may be millions higher. She's privy to inside information. She helps make it. She's able to take full advantage. So can other Fed governors. They're all millionaires.
Unholy Alliance

Israel and Saudi Arabia are rogue states writ large. They're two of the world's worst. They deplore democratic values. They spurn rule of law principles.
They commit horrendous human and civil rights abuses. They're responsible for daily crimes against humanity.
They partner with Washington's imperial wars. They're an odd couple. They're strange bedfellows. Perhaps they're joining forces. Formal relations aren't maintained. Back channel secret ones substitute.
On October 2, Israel's Channel 2 TV news said senior Israeli security officials met with a high-level Gulf state counterpart. They did so in Jerusalem.
