Snowden remains in Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport transit zone limbo. Russia's his safest option.
Traveling elsewhere's too risky. It's hazardous. He's seeking temporary asylum. Odds are he'll get it.
Moscow won't extradite him. It has no treaty obligation to do so. Washington never repatriated Russian defectors. Heavy US pressure's exerted anyway.
Few countries resist. Few push back effectively. China can do it. So can Russia. On the one hand, Putin values good relations. On the other, he won't be bullied. Supporting Snowden's politically advantageous. According to Der Spiegel: His activist status largely united a "deeply divided society. Whether conservative or liberal, anti- or pro-American, Putin supporter or opponent - they have all voiced support for granting (him) asylum."

During previous Knesset session proceedings, MKs Ofir Akunis and Faina Kirshenbaum legislation to limit NGO funding was defeated.
Last week, MKs Ayelet Shaked and Robert Ilatov proposed their version. They call it a "softer version of the NGO bill."
It's harsh, not soft. It prohibits NGOs from receiving more than NIS 20,000 from "foreign entities" if they, their members, employees, or anyone related to them engages in one or more of the following practices directly or indirectly:

Israel reflects the worst of rogue state governance. It's contemptuous of international laws, treaties, conventions, its own statutes, and High Court decisions.
It's out-of-control. It's unaccountable. It makes its own rules. It maintains lawless militarized occupation harshness. It force-feeds austerity on its own citizens. It suffocates 1.7 million Gazans. It attacks other countries with impunity.
It's waging undeclared war on Syria. It's partnering with Washington doing so. It supports terrorist fighters. It supplies arms and munitions. It hospitalizes wounded ones.

When is killing a non-threatening unarmed teenager not murder? When civil rights don't matter. When Jim Crow justice prevails.
When the victim is black. When mostly white women jurors call cold-blooded murder self-defense.
(Note: Juror B29 was the sole Hispanic. Zimmerman's white. He's Hispanic. His voter registration form identifies him that way. His father calls himself white. His mother's Peruvian).
Killing Trayvon Martin's not murder when a jury of peers representing both sides fairly is verboten. When killing black males in America is OK when whites do it.

A previous article cited two Russia Today reports. One suggested Israeli Dolphin-class submarines attacked Latakia, Syria.
At issue was targeting Russian-made S-300 air defense missile components and/or Yakhont P-800 missiles.
The second cited a "reliable source." Perhaps it's Russian intelligence. It said Israeli warplanes used Turkish territory to attack. They likely departed Incirlik Air Base. Satellite photos would confirm it.
Washington uses Incirlik jointly with Turkey. Unconfirmed reports suggest Israel has warplanes there. Ankara's a reliable imperial partner. So is Israel. It's highly likely RT's report is accurate.

Sweeping mass surveillance continues. It won't stop. It's intensifying. It reflects rogue state governance. It has nothing to do with national security. Claiming it's a red herring.
It's about control. It's to advance America's imperium. It's political and corporate espionage. It's monitoring truth-tellers. It's targeting constitutional rights.
It's eliminating freedom altogether. It's institutionalizing tyranny. It made America a police state. It's coup d'etat authority. Too few Americans understand. Two few who do challenge it responsibly.

On July 12, theLos Angeles Times headlined "Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security chief, to head UC," saying:
Her "nomination by a committee of UC regents came after a secretive process that insiders said focused on her early as a high-profile, although untraditional, candidate who has led large public agencies and shown a strong interest in improving education."
UC officials said her cabinet experience "will help UC administer its federal energy and nuclear weapons labs and aid its federally funded research in medicine and other areas."
Sherry Lansing headed UC's search committee. She called her "without a doubt the right person at the right time to lead this incredible university."

New evidence adds greater credibility to numerous past reports. So-called "rebels" bear responsibility for chemical weapons use.
They're aided and abetted by Washington, other Western nations, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and other regional rogue states.
They're longstanding imperial partners. Human life has no value. Unchallenged dominance counts most. Nothing's too lawless to deter seeking it.
Ravaging one country after another proves it. Syria's in the eye of the storm. Conflict persists daily. Mass killing and destruction follow.

Doing so constitutes cruel and unusual punishment. It inflicts excruciating pain and suffering. It's aggravated assault writ large. It's torture under international law provisions.
It violates human dignity. It reflects disdain for human suffering. It's Josef Mengele-style treatment. Nazi prisoners were coerced. They had no choice. Experiments constituted torture. Obama reflects the worst of cruel despots.
As president and commander-in-chief, he's empowered to stop what's unconscionable to allow. Dismissively he lets it continue. Doing so's a crime against humanity. It persists viciously. It does so extrajudicially.
On July 5, Guantanamo's hunger strike reached day 150. At least 106 of the facility's 166 prisoners refuse food. They do so for justice. They prefer death to indefinite detention uncharged. Around four dozen are force-fed.

Snowden reflects the best of heroic activism. He acted responsibly. He did the right thing. He committed no crimes. He knew the risks and took them.
Few would do as much. Legions more are needed. Maybe he'll inspire others to come forward. Today they're more than ever needed.
He sacrificed financial security, personal freedom and well-being. He did so to expose serious US high crimes. Potentially everyone's harmed everywhere. Millions worldwide support him. Everyone should.
