“What happens to a dream deferred? . . .”—Langston Hughes
Will the United States ever genuinely change its bloody and hypocritical ways at home and abroad?
The answer to this question is NO, not until or unless the masses of everyday Black, White, Brown, Red, and Yellow people in this nation decide that they have had enough of the corporate-owned dictatorship of the Democrats and Republicans, and act accordingly.
There will continue to be massive social injustice and economic austerity at home, and perpetual corporate-driven wars abroad, for as long as the people in this nation allow it. These horrors will continue for as long as ‘we the people’ shirk our collective responsibility and stay on the psychological plantations/reservations of the U.S. corporate political de facto police-State. This horrid reality will continue for as long as, we the people, accept and buy into the mind-numbing and manipulating novocaine of the U.S. corporate-stream ‘news’ media.

David Cromwell is a Scottish writer, activist and oceanographer at the National Oceanography Centre in Britain. He and David Edwards are Media Lens.org co-editors.
It's an antidote to misinformation. It critiques mainstream media propaganda, bias and censorship. It provides credible facts, opinion, and in-depth analysis on issues mattering most.
It's what journalism should be but isn't in an age of mass deception. People are on their own to separate truth from fiction. Media Lens provides help.
Both writers co-authored "NEWSPEAK in the 21st Century" and "Guardians of Power: The Myth of the Liberal Media." They explain what everyone needs to know. Media reliability along with free and open societies are at risk.
Dissent is marginalized and targeted. Democratic values are fast eroding en route to disappearing altogether in Western societies and Israel.
Raising public awareness more than ever is vital. Independent voices are essential. So is speaking truth to power and spreading it to mass audiences.

Washington's war on Libya rages. Fighting didn't stop after NATO said its seven-month 2011 "mission" ended. Ravaging a nonbelligerent country wasn't good enough.
Occupation harshness inflicts more pain. Jamahiriya Green Resistance is strong. Its struggle continues. It won't stop until Libya regains freedom. Loyalists want no part of NATO control, puppet leaders, imperial plundering, and ordinary Libyans used and abused.
Frequent freedom fights erupt. Tribes are involved. Local militias have their own agenda. Insurgents battle each other and Green Resistance for control. Government forces serve Washington and key NATO partners.

NNC's Iman Soleimani conducted the interview. Occupy Wall Street, America's sham electoral process, the so-called Arab Spring, Zionism, and money power were discussed.
NNC (Namavaran Network Corporation) initially operated as a cultural and publishing institute. It trained bilingual journalists working with foreign media.
More recently it began "giving press service(es) to foreign media by recruiting its trained journalists." It's now one of Iran's largest media operations. It works collaboratively with major TV and News services.

Israel’s propagandists have a training manual that teaches the art of sugar-coating and downright lying so that gullible audiences will easily swallow their poison.
Notice how everything Israelis dislikes, and everything that thwarts their lust for domination, is now labeled “Iranian-backed”. They’d have us all believe we are in mortal danger from Iran and must therefore huddle together in a collective act of aggression orchestrated by Tel Aviv, Washington and London.
The 116-page instruction manual, called the 2009 Global Language Dictionary, was produced by The Israel Project (TIP), which describes itself as “non-partisan” on Twitter but elsewhere says it’s “devoted to educating the press and the public about Israel while promoting security, freedom and peace”. See here for an evaluation http://www.richardsilverstein.com/2009/07/10/the-israel-projects-secret-hasbara-handbook-exposed/

Russia is slandered for doing the right thing. State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland calls Putin's government "morally bankrupt."
Moscow's gone all out to prevent proxy war on Syria exploding into full-scale conflict. Putin/Medvedev know the potentially catastrophic consequences. Washington vilifies efforts against its global imperial ravaging. Humanity everywhere is targeted.
In September, Moscow was again attacked. At issue was expelling USAID. It's an imperial tool. A Foreign Ministry statement said:
"The decision was taken mainly because the work of the agency’s officials far from always responded to the stated goals of development and humanitarian cooperation. We are talking about attempts to influence political processes through its grants."

Longtime Israeli collaborators Mahmoud Abbas and Salam Fayyad scheduled West Bank municipal elections on October 20, 2012. Democracy isn't on the ballot. Palestinians are skeptical for good reason.
For the first time since January 25, 2006, they'll vote in an election much different from then. Fed up with institutionalized Fatah corruption and subservience to Israel, Hamas candidates swept to victory.
They won 74 of the Palestinian Legislative Council's (PLC) 132 seats. Hamas became Palestine's legitimate government. It remains so despite Fatah's complicity with Israel. Doing so separated West Bank authority from Gaza.

On November 6, America's sham process occurs. On January 22, Israelis face the same . Real choice is excluded from both ballots. Democracy is hypocrisy in both countries.
Congress recessed until post-election. Israel's Knesset just adjourned. On October 16, Haaretz headlined "As Knesset ends term, we should say 'good riddance,' " saying:
It's Israel's most anti-democratic one ever. It "brought the tyranny of the majority to new heights." Hardline extremists ran "roughshod over vulnerable minorities, first and foremost Israeli Arabs, as well as over civil society groups and human rights organizations."

Gar Smith’s Nuclear Roulette: The Truth about the Most Dangerous Energy Source on Earth is a 14-point condemnation of President Eisenhower’s “peaceful atom,” an exposé of official and corporate lies, and a multi-pronged platform of alternatives.
When Ike okayed nuclear power, “they screwed the pooch,” says political cartoonist Mike DiBari. Ike’s military-industrial complex wrote our death sentence when the US authorized the development of nuclear energy: humanity will not survive this technology, nor will most other species.
“In 2000 alone, civilian reactors produced enough plutonium to make more than 34,000 nuclear bombs,” writes Smith. [1] This is what the nuclear energy industry is about – producing plutonium, tritium and other ingredients for nuclear bombs. [2]

The continuing rhetoric and relentless warmongering from western diplomats continues, amidst the barrage of talk and media propaganda of an imminent “crisis” comes one critical element for the civilian population of Iran. US led sanctions have undoubtedly led to the downfall of the Iranian economy, and as recent history has proven it will be the civilian population that bears the brunt. Western diplomats predict Iran’s foreign exchange reserves will run dry in six months to a year, making it impossible for the country to import or export goods and run its public services. Today it was reported in the Guardian that the head of the charity Foundation for Special Diseases has warned of a serious shortage of vital medicines, for diseases such as haemophilia, multiple sclerosis and cancer. Earlier this month Ban Ki Moon the UN secretary-general had warned in a report that “The sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran have had significant effects on the general population, including an escalation in inflation, a rise in commodities and energy costs, an increase in the rate of unemployment and a shortage of necessary items, including medicine,”. The EU, fresh from winning the Nobel Peace Prize last week don’t appear to be listening with British Foreign Secretary William Hague announcing further escalation to the crippling sanctions.
