Obama to Netanyahu - “You win”

December 12th, 2010

By Alan Hart

Those of us who are associated with the truth of history as it relates to the making and sustaining of the conflict in and over Palestine that became Israel, and who call for justice for the Palestinians, now have reason to say “Thank you” to President Obama. With his decision to abandon efforts to persuade Israel to renew a freeze on illegal settlement building on the occupied West Bank, he has proved that the makers of American policy for resolving the conflict are Israel’s leaders and their lobby in the U.S. (including its many stooges in Congress and the mainstream media), not the man who occupies the Oval Office in the White House.

The UN Declaration provides in part:

“No State has the right to intervene, directly or indirectly, for any reason whatever, in the internal or external affairs of any other State. WikiRebels: Swedish docufilm on WikiLeaks chronicles a new form of global resistance

December 11th, 2010

By Rady Ananda

“What we have here is a new breed of rebels, IT guerrillas without a national base.”

Finally, in response to globalized eco-destruction, globalized wars, and globalized banking that robs national and personal wealth, we now have globalized resistance so profound, so effective, that global elites are waging a massive censorship campaign to silence the group, WikiLeaks, and smear its figurehead, Julian Assange.

Sweden’s public service television, SVT, is about to broadcast a deeply-moving, one-hour documentary chronicling the history of WikiLeaks, after having followed the crew for six months. An uninterrupted rough cut of the film can be viewed here until December 13. Though the film arrives in the midst of questionable rape charges, with Assange currently in custody, the story has timely relevance with global interest in him and his website.

The Plot to Destroy Social Security

December 11th, 2010

Michael Collins

(Washington, Dec 10) Bill Clinton showed up at the White House for an "impromptu" press conference to discuss the president's tax compromise with the Republicans. Clinton disclosed that "I make a lot of money now" and, as a result, he would benefit from the program. Then he endorsed the compromise calling it the best deal Obama could make. Clinton was particularly high on the Social Security payroll tax reduction. "According to all economic analysis, [this is] the single most effective tax cut you can do to support economic activity. This will actually create a fair number of jobs. I expect it to lower the unemployment rate and keep us going." (Image)

Across town, United States Senator Bernie Sanders was telling the simple truth that Obama and Clinton avoided. Reducing the Social Security payroll tax from 6.2% to 4.2% as a one year tax holiday presumes that the normal rates will be restored at the end of the one year period. Who would restore those rates? The very same party that passed the Bush ten year "temporary" income tax reductions. That same party, the Republicans, now claims that ending the Bush temporary tax cuts represents the greatest tax increase ever. Just as they forgot that those tax cuts were temporary, the new Republican majority will forget the payroll cuts were temporary. Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Mike Johanns (R-NE) agree that ending the tax holiday will be portrayed as a tax increase.

The CIA created ‘safe haven’ for Nazis and Jews

December 11th, 2010

By Katherine Smith, PhD

[ALERT! The following was previously published on a number of websites but as of today is no longer available (404 Error).]

The Long-hidden report: CIA created ‘safe haven’ for Nazis in US obtained by the New York Times November 13, 2010, may be the most concrete account yet of the role that prominent members of Germany's Nazi party played in the early, formative years of the CIA, following World War II. The report alleges the CIA created a "safe haven" for Nazis believed to be of use to the US' Cold War efforts. [1]

Notice the words alleges and believed, to be of use to the US' Cold War efforts.

What if there was another reason the CIA created a “safe haven” for Nazis?

In Search of J. D. Salinger, by Ian Hamilton, recounts Salinger’s experience during and after World War II, serving with the Counter Intelligence Corps (CIC). [2]

Salinger’s reclusive behavior may have been the result of knowledge he gained while in the employ of the United States Defense Intelligence Department during and after World War II. He took part in the creation of the mind control program, MK-Ultra, Project Artichoke, and in the interrogation of captured Nazis (denazification of Germany). [3]

Salinger, it is reasonable to assume, had access to the secret memorandum written on June 21, 1933, from the German Zionist Federation to the Nazis which stated in part: “All German Jewish organizations, it was declared, should be dominated by the Zionist spirit."  In 1941, the "Stern Gang," among them Yitzhak Shamir, later Prime Minister of Israel, presented the Nazis with the fundamental Features of the Proposal of the National Military Organization (NMO) in Palestine:

The NMO, which is well-acquainted with the goodwill of the German Reich government and its authorities towards Zionism activity … is of the opinion that: the NMO in Palestine, … offers to actively take part in the war on Germany's side. The Iron Wall, London 1984, pp.195-197, The Wall Street Journal December 2, 1976

“Concentration” weren’t the only camps set up by Hitler and the Gestapo. During the 1930s, in cooperation with the German authorities, Zionist groups organized a network of some 40 camps where prospective settlers were trained for their new lives in Palestine. The Transfer Agreement between Hitler’s Germany and international Zionism, implemented in 1933 and abandoned at the beginning of WWII, allowed German Jews to immigrate to Palestine. [4]

'For Esmé – With Love and Squalor'

In his celebrated story For Esmé – With Love and Squalor, Salinger, trying to get a grip on life, most probably is talking about himself when he starts a correspondence with a thirteen year-old British girl.  A Perfect Day for Bananafish is another story about his struggle with suicide because he was living with both the memory of the horrors of war and with the knowledge that millions of deaths and untold suffering caused by World War II had nothing to do with an incompetent fanatical dictator, Adolph Hitler, financed by George H.W. Bush’s father, Prescott, trying to take over the world, but instead was a plan to create the Modern State of Israel in 1948. The Cassandra Prophecy by Ian Gurney [5]

As a counterintelligence officer he could have had access to other secret memorandum and connected WW I, WW II, the Holocaust to a satanic purpose for the Jews arriving in Haifa not in 1946, or 1950 but in 1948,  aka The Key to the Secret of the Universe.

In one of the rare moments when he did speak to the media, he said, “I love to write. But I write just for myself and my own pleasure.” He displayed the mental anguish of a misanthrope involved in one of the bloodiest episodes of the war in Hürtgenwald, a useless battle, where he witnessed the horrors of war, and had to confront the reality that 70 million people died in order to create the Modern State of Israel.

Salinger himself was hospitalized for stress, according to his biographer, Ian Hamilton, and later retreated into his private world and Zen Buddhism.

Alleging a conspiracy about the story behind the story of two World Wars and the Holocaust in 1950 would be hazardous to your mental and physical health.

It was a choice between getting killed or ridiculed; he kept silent and waited for death. Salinger, 91, died at his home on January 27, 2010.

More on Obama's Capitulation and Betrayal

December 10th, 2010

by Stephen Lendman

With help from Democrats controlling both Houses, Obama put a criminal cabal in charge of furthering the greatest wealth transfer in history. In the process, he's hollowing out America, eliminating the middle class, centralizing power, eroding social services, destroying jobs and communities, and creating poverty, unemployment, homelessness, hunger, a permanent underclass, and depravation under militarized homeland repression.

A man of the people promising change, in fact, is a shameless demagogue, a serial liar, a hardline corporatist serving big money wealth and power against ideals candidate Obama professed. He facilitated a Wall Street coup d'etat, lavished handouts on other corporate favorites, and now his latest December 6 betrayal, capitulating to Republicans on tax cuts for the rich and super-rich, throwing crumbs at working Americans to soothe public anger. A previous article explained, accessed through the following link:

Class Warfare or Financial Narcissism?

December 10th, 2010

Jeff Gates

Is America the target of class warfare? That claim, though widely made, misses the point. The problem is more serious and the long-term effects far more troubling. Though the facts are compelling, that conclusion is misleading.

In 2007, 1% of U.S. households claimed 24% of the national income. Those figures were compiled well before a debt-induced recession cost the jobs of millions of Americans. And well before the payment this year of a $144 billion bonus to Wall Street’s elite.
The topmost 1% now owns 34% of all private net worth; the bottom 90% owns 29%. Is that evidence of class warfare or is there something else at work?

President Obama and the Remaking of America

December 9th, 2010

By Mahboob A. Khawaja, Ph.D.

“War provides an outlet for every evil element in man’s nature. It enfranchises cupidity and greed gives a charter to petty tyranny, glorifies cruelty and places in positions of power the vulgar and base.” (C.E.M. Joad, Guide to Modern Wickedness, London)

Barack Obama is the leader of a contemporary Oceania ….In Oceania, truth and lies are indivisible.….. In two speeches at the close of the decade, the Nobel Peace Prize winner affirmed that peace was no longer peace, but rather a permanent war that “extends well beyond Afghanistan and Pakistan” to “disorderly regions and diffuse enemies”. He called this “global security” and invited our gratitude. To the people of Afghanistan, which America has invaded and occupied, he said wittily: “We have no interest in occupying your country”….. Behind much of this are the Israelis, who have long advised the Americans in both the Iraq and Afghanistan adventures. Ethnic-cleansing, wall-building, checkpoints, collective punishment and constant surveillance – these are claimed as Israeli innovations that have succeeded in stealing most of Palestine from its native people. And yet for all their suffering, the Palestinians have not been divided irrevocably and they endure as a nation against all odds. ” (John Pilger, “Welcome to Orwell’s World 2010.” ICH 12/2009)

The Hidden War

December 9th, 2010

By Dr. Elias Akleh

The world has been lately busy with what could be considered major wars and other low level conflicts.  The major wars can be seen in places such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, and Palestine, while low level conflicts can be seen in places like Haiti, Somalia, India, and Sudan.  Potential future wars are planned to break out in places like Korea, Yemen, and the Persian Gulf region (Iran). Yet all these wars are just distracting symptoms of a hidden war that is still being waged since the beginning of humanity.
