US War Crimes in Fallujah

October 2nd, 2010

by Stephen Lendman

Numerous previous articles documented two decades of US war crimes in Iraq, the latest titled, "One of History's Greatest Crimes," accessed through the following link: sjlendman.blogspot.com

On August 31, declaring an "end to the combat mission in Iraq," Obama disgracefully said: "Through this remarkable chapter in the history of the United Stated and Iraq, we have met our responsibility," infamously displaying his culpability as a war criminal, matching the worst America ever produced. Daily he proves it in Iraq, Afghanistan, and by reckless global marauding.

The American message to Palestinians and Arabs

October 2nd, 2010

Salim Nazzal

Obama started his Mideast involvement by demanding that Israel stop building settlements. The settlements are the land the government of Israel stealing from Palestine to construct housing project for Jews only. Streets only for Jews, schools only for Jews, and so forth. These settlements are constructed on hilly areas to put the Palestinian villages under its mercy. These settlements have destroyed the ecological system in Palestine because they are made without any consideration to the ecological system; their only consideration is the interest of Jews and only Jews even if Palestinians go to hell.

Obama is rolling the dice and playing the numbers

October 2nd, 2010

By Von Helman

One thing is for certain, anything that comes out of Washington DC regardless of political alignment or the person spewing it, or even if it’s from political pundits within the MSM all of it contains numbers.

There is a fascination for numbers, and there are numbers attached to almost everything these days. I invite you to pick up any recent news story from any news source you prefer and read the top three political stories and I will almost bet the farm there is mention of numbers in the article somewhere.

Whether it’s Obama’s approval ratings which contain low numbers or the national deficit which contains too many numbers there are numbers all over DC. Now that election time is again upon us we will also be seeing how much the black tie political fund-raising dinners cost per plate which get you your 1 minute photo op with your favorite political. Then there will be the numbers in terms of how much each candidate has spent on their campaign and how much it will cost to investigate any wrong doing within that same campaign once the final votes are counted in terms of numbers. Then once in office all of these newly elected politicians will also spend their time worrying about their own approval numbers.

Failed Washington-Sponsored Ecuadorean Coup Attempt

October 2nd, 2010

by Stephen Lendman

Post-9/11, Washington sponsored four coup d'etats. Two succeeded - mostly recently in Honduras in 2009 against Manuel Zelaya, and in Haiti in 2004 deposing Jean-Bertrand Aristide. Two others failed - in Venezuela in 2002 against Hugo Chavez, and on September 30 in Ecuador against Rafael Correa - so far. Two by Bush, two by Obama with plenty of time for more mischief before November 2012.

From his record so far, expect it. He continues imperial Iraq and Afghanistan wars and occupations. In addition, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Palestine, Lebanon, North Korea, and other countries are targeted, besides deploying CIA and Special Forces armies into at least 75 countries worldwide for targeted assassinations, drone attacks, and other disruptive missions.

THE MACRO-ECONOMICS OF PHONY TERROR AND CONTRIVED CONFLICT

HOW MERCHANTS OF DEATH RULE THE WORLD

Both elements of “Al Qaeda” along with its clear history as a CIA established organization make every mention of it suspicious. Whenever there is a need for a “wag the dog”news story, “Al Qaeda” is dragged out as the whipping boy. Never has any organization, one as mysterious and insubstantial as this one, whose supposed leader, Osama bin Laden, has not only been dead for years but when he was alive, not only worked directly for the CIA but comes from a family directly tied to, not only the Bush family, but, in fact, close friends and business partners for decades at every level.

In struggle with the American mind

October 2nd, 2010

by William Blum

America means well; our motives are noble...

Since The Great Flood hit Pakistan in July

  • many millions have been displaced, evacuated, stranded or lost their homes; numerous roads, schools and health clinics destroyed
  • hundreds of villages washed away
  • millions of livestock have perished; for the rural poor something akin to a Western stock market crash that wipes out years of savings
  • countless farms decimated, including critical crops like corn; officials say the damage is in the hundreds of millions of dollars and it does not appear that Pakistan will recover within the next few years
  • infectious diseases are rising sharply
  • airplanes of the United States of America have flown over Pakistan and dropped bombs on dozens of occasions 1

S 510: The Crisis, the Attack, the Kill

October 1st, 2010

By Rady Ananda

In this three-part series, Food Chain Radio host Michael Olson interviews key people in the food freedom movement. From gun-blazing bureaucrats who attack small food producers to legislation like S 510 which threatens to hyper-regulate whole food operators out of business, Olson questions guests about government motives, who's behind the legislation, and where the crisis really lies.

Olson notes that the U.S. "has a serious food safety crisis, and so its agents, with guns drawn and warrants in hand, are breaking down the doors of the little people who sell food to their neighbors. But wait... which is in crisis: local food or industrial food?"

Indigenous resistance: from Colombia to Palestine

October 1st, 2010

By Anna Baltzer

"They only see our water, our land, our trees. They don't care about us. They want the land -- without the people on it."

These words are not of a Palestinian farmer but of Justo Conda, governor of Lopez Adentro Indigenous Reserve in southwestern Colombia, whose community was repeatedly threatened with displacement under former president Alvaro Uribe Velez. Uribe, recently appointed by the United Nations to investigate Israel's fatal attack on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, has a notoriously horrific track record on human rights. Less explored are the clear parallels between his government's mistreatment of indigenous peoples of Colombia and Israel's abuses of the indigenous people of Palestine.

Deceptions a brilliant clarion to save the Internet

September 30th, 2010

By Rady Ananda

In Deceptions, filmmaker Chris Pratt briefly covers 911, but then explores Bush-Obama as puppets, and their masters, the banksters. He looks deeply at world government, and New World Order plans to shut down the last venue of free speech that remains: the Internet.

"I feel very strongly that the world needs to see, to consider, to be aware that there are some very dark and sinister forces at play shaping what we think is an independent opinion," he told me via email.

AMERICA'S REAL ANTI-GOVERNMENT THREAT

September 30th, 2010

By Gordon Duff

FIND OUT WHO IS FINANCING AMERICA'S EXTREMIST "PATRIOTIC REVOLT?"

"However, an investigation of site ownership and client lists funding the "Patriotic Revolt" were not what we expected. The "patriots" that were going to replace the armed militia's of the 1990's were actually the Republican Party, their phony "think tanks" and the largest multi-national corporations in the world, representing defense, oil, insurance, big pharma, big tobacco and "clean coal," a veritable "who's who" of world class criminals."
