The Big Lie in the ‘News’ ‘Reporting’ About Ukraine and Russia

Here it is, in purest form, via a typical 'news' ‘report’ from CNN:
"While questions about Russia's tactics remain, its strategy has become more clear: The Kremlinappears to have decided to prevent Ukraine turning West and leaving what Russia regards asits sphere of influence."
However, did the U.S., in the early 1960s, decide to accept Cuba’s having turned away from the U.S. sphere of influence that had existed under the prior, corrupt, Cuban leader, Fulgensio Batista, and Cuba’s then becoming instead a new Soviet satellite, under Fidel Castro? And, in particular, how did the U.S. feel about Cuba's new Soviet ally trying to insert Soviet missiles with nuclear warheads in Cuba, right next door to us?
Did we like that? Did we even let that happen (which would be like Ukraine’s joining NATO, and then allowing Ukraine to get U.S. missiles)?

Obama Declares Open-Ended MIddle East War

He did so in flagrant violation of international law. It's not the first time. It won't be the last.
It's longstanding US policy. All US wars are lawless. They violate the Constitution's Supremacy Clause (Article VI, Clause 2).
It states all US laws and treaties "shall be the supreme law of the land…"
International law is clear and unequivocal. No nation may attack another except in self-defense.
None may do so without Security Council authorization. None exists. Expect none forthcoming.
UN Charter Article 2(7) states:
"Nothing contained in the present Charter shall authorize the United Nations to intervene in matters which are essentially within the domestic jurisdiction of any state or shall require the Members to submit such matters to settlement under the present Charter."
Under no circumstances may one nation, or combination thereof, intervene against another without Security Council authorization.
Amnesty International Fronts for Power

On 9/6/2001 The Powers That Be (TPTB), the defendants herein, did knowingly, intentionally, willfully and maliciously conspire, combine and agree together and with others unknown to the Grand Jury to remove bomb-sniffing dogs from the World Trade Center I and II, while the defendants and their unknown agents placed AN-M14 thermite charged incendiary devices between the 92nd to 98th floors of the North Tower and between the 78th to 84th floors in the South Tower.
The object of the conspiracy were as follows:
- Kill and injure innocent people (1,434 in the North Tower, 589 in the South Tower).

"There's a sucker born every minute." President Obama agrees based on his address to the nation. How else can you explain the pathetic national address just delivered?
Tonight's viewing event featured ISIL, the latest excuse for increased military spending. The Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) is also called ISIS and IS. The name really doesn't matter. ISIL is code for angry Muslims who decapitate reporters. ISIL didn't quite pass public relations muster when it stood for angry Muslims who attack Iraqi towns and cities.
Early in the speech, the president said, "we have consistently taken the fight to terrorists who threaten our country." Therefore, we're taking "the fight" to ISIL, right? It's a little more complicated than that.
The US and Global Wars: Empire or Vampire?

But the notion that the US is building an empire, by engaging in wars to exploit and plunder countries’ markets, resources and labor, defies the realities of the past two decades. Instead US wars have destroyed enterprises, reduced access to raw materials, killed, wounded or displaced productive workers around the world, and limited access to lucrative investment sites and markets via sanctions.
In other words, US global military interventions and wars have done the exact opposite of what all previous empires have pursued: Washington has exploited (and depleted) the domestic economy to expand militarily abroad instead of enriching it.
Steven Salaita Goes Public

A previous article discussed him. It said criticizing Israel is the third rail in American politics, the major media and academia.
Supporting Palestinian rights is verboten. Criticizing Israel virtually assures academic lynching. It's a potential career-ender for professors deserving much better.
The University of Illinois at Urbana-champaign (UIUC) fired Steven Salaita. He was Arab-American Professor of American Indian Studies.
At issue were Twitter comments he made about Israel before and during Operation Protective Edge.
Among them he said: "Only Israel can murder around 300 children in the span of a few weeks and insist that it is the victim."
He's the latest academic lynching victim. He won't be the last. A storm of supportive protests followed his firing weeks earlier.
Thousands of scholars, students, colleagues, friends and others rallied to his defense.
9/11: The Mother of All Big Lies

In 1917, Woodrow Wilson manipulated public sentiment. He did so with Big Lies.
They turned most Americans into raging German haters. Big Lies work this way. Wilson got the war he wanted.
FDR manipulated Japan to attack Pearl Harbor. Doing so let him wage war. He had to convince Congress and a pacifist public to go along.
What better way than by manufacturing terror.
