Muslim Brotherhood (MB) won Egyptian parliamentary and presidential elections in 2012. This alarmed Israel and western countries. Egyptian army and the liberal class too was scared because the MB government in Egypt meant an end to the loot and plunder the army was indulging in since 1952 and with the army the fate of the lackey liberal class too was going to be sealed. These liberals, in return for some favours and insignificant posts, had allowed the army people to play with Egypt's honour and to plunder its resources.
Gamal Abdel Nasser's administration clearly comprised of army officers. The situation continued with (Col.) Anwar Sadat and (Air Marshal) Hosni Mubarak. As a result, the Egyptian army, directly or indirectly, controls over 50 percent of the Egyptian economy today. Former army officers are occupying top posts in public and private sectors.

The strategy and tactics of the Venezuelan opposition is a replay of events that took place leading up to the coup against Hugo Chávez on April 11, 2002 and is similar (although in some ways quite different) from the script that has been used in the Ukraine and elsewhere. The blatant distortions and in some cases lies of the media (CNN in Spanish playing a lead role) represent an essential element in the strategy.
There are two main groups that the opposition has mobilized and from all appearances the two act in coordination even though their style, and even social background, differs from one another. One group is non-violent and the other engages in acts of aggression in some cases endangering lives.

Obama's rap sheet is long and loathsome. He heads a homeland police state apparatus. He's waging war on humanity.
He supports some of the world's most ruthless despots. He's in bed with criminal elements of the worst kind. He wants fundamental freedoms eliminated.
He wants all sovereign independent governments removed. He wants vile elements replacing them. He elevated Ukrainian fascist putschists to power.
Last July, he conspired with Egypt's junta to oust Mohamed Morsi. Martial law followed. Egypt's constitution was suspended. Tanks patrolled streets. Peaceful demonstrators were murdered in cold blood.
James Petras
Introduction
Protest, dissent and the destructive terror of war are obviously very distinct forms of expressing opposition and bringing about change. The Obama-Kerry regime support the opposition in Venezuela as a ‘protest movement’ composed of ‘peaceful democratic opponents’ expressing their discontent with economic conditions, while they denounce the democratically-elected Maduro Administration as an ‘authoritarian regime’ violently repressing legitimate dissent. Washington disingenuously claims to have played no part in the actions of the Venezuelan opposition and that its pronouncements are merely directed at promoting democratic freedoms.
The overwhelming evidence show that the Venezuelan opposition has engaged in prolonged and extensive violence, including terrorist acts, assassinations, arson, and destruction of public property. Most recently this includes the murder of military officers and civilian supporters of the government. Widely circulated photographs, even in Washington-controlled media outlets, show opposition activists throwing Molotov cocktails at police and counter-demonstrators and building barricades for bloody street confrontations.

March 24, 1999 will go down in history as a day of infamy. US-led NATO raped Yugoslavia. Doing so was its second major combat operation.
It was lawless aggression. No Security Council resolution authorized it. NATO's Operation Allied Force lasted 78 days.
Washington called it Operation Noble Anvil. Evil best describes it. On June 10, operations ended.
From March 1991 through mid-June 1999, Balkan wars raged. Yugoslavia "balkanized" into seven countries. They include Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia.
Enormous human suffering was inflicted. Washington bears most responsibility.
Diana Johnstone's book titled "Fools' Crusade: Yugoslavia, NATO and Western Delusions" is a definitive account of what happened.

Churchill once said a "lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." Today it circulates instantly.
Goebbels said "(i)f you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it."
"(T)ruth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State," he added.
Goebbels operated in pre-television days. Media scoundrels embrace his doctrine. They echo official administration policy. They lie, distort, misinform, hype, stoke fear, and falsify information willfully.
They bury truth. They suppress what readers and viewers most need to know. They one-sidedly support wealth, power and privilege.

The late astrophysicist Carl Sagan, and British Science Fiction writer Sir Arthur C Clarke along with English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author Stephen Hawking candidly discuss the Big Bang theory, Black Holes, God, our existence, the Universe as well as the possibility of extraterrestrial life ~ brilliantly moderated by the late BBC Television Journalist Magnus Magnusson. These three brilliant minds search for answers to our vast Universe which Sagan once correctly said is only bearable or understandable through LOVE ~ because love, I maintain, joins us to the innate thread of love and soul consciousness that lies deepest within each one of us and also to the basic uniting and healing force of the Universe, the Unified Field
When we see GOD as a loving plan in action and each one of us as co-creators in that evolutionary loving plan ~ it becomes obvious to me that the principle property of my Unified Field is that very same urge to unite which exists deepest within the basic molecule to galactic space itself through asymptotic freedom. It is then that I begin to understand that the Universe is also awaiting its call to unite, just as we most certainly are.

The Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (left), is a desperate man. He faces a test of his government in the March 30 local elections in Turkey. If his party candidates (AK Party) fail to maintain their current standings, the PM will face a loss of his tyrannical power. If the AK Party results for mayoral and other local offices drop significantly, Erdogan could soon face prosecution for massive corruption. (Image)
Since December17, 2013, current and former government ministers, their adult children, and AK Party business cronies have been charged with bid rigging, bribe taking, and outright theft. Support for the charges come almost daily through the release of wire taps of Erdogan and his cronies engaging in these activities. In one notable tape, Erdogan is heard giving his son Bilal explicit instructions to remove millions of dollars from a family home and disperse it to avoid a possible police raid.

It's longstanding US policy. In his March 18 address on Crimea, Putin was right saying:
"(W)e have every reason to assume that the infamous policy of containment, led in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, continues today."
Western nations are "constantly trying to sweep us into a corner because we have an independent position, because we maintain it, and because we call things like they are and do not engage in hypocrisy."
"Everything has its limits," he added. "(I)n Ukraine, our Western partners crossed the red line." They "act(ed) irresponsibly and unprofessionally."
Putin had the courage to say what needs to be heard publicly. Containing Russia is longstanding US policy. It reflects US hegemonic ambitions. It risks a potential belligerent East/West confrontation.
As early as 1917, Washington and Britain wanted the new Soviet state destroyed. Three months before WW I ended, Britain led a multi-nation force.
At the time, Lloyd George was Prime Minister. Churchill was UK Minister of War and Air. Woodrow Wilson was US president.
Thousands of US marines were involved. They invaded Russia. They intervened against Bolshevik forces. They remained until April 1920.

Israel is no democracy. Right-wing ideologues govern. They're militantly over-the-top. They represent Israel's lunatic fringe.
They abhor peace. They endorse war. They threaten regional security. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon ordered Israel's military to prepare war plans on Iran.
Nearly $3 billion was allocated. It's around one-firth of Israel's budget. Both officials want Iran's nuclear facilities targeted. They want them eliminated.
Former Mossad chief Meir Dagan warned earlier. Attacking Iran assures blowback. Iran will counterattack.
Hundreds of missiles will strike Israeli cities and strategic facilities. Dimona and other Israeli nuclear facilities will be targeted.
