American Airlines pilots ,cabin crews are complaining their new, corporate-issued uniforms are making them sick. cloth or material from which clothing is made goes through a finishing process called “sizing” or “finishing products,” which out gasses formaldehyde fumes, is toxic. Many clothing items, including uniforms, are made from synthetic fabrics, which include polyester, acrylic, nylon, rayon, acetate, spandex, latex, Orlon and Kevlar. Chemicals used to make synthetic fabric include sodium hydroxide and carbon disulfide, which are derived from coal, oil, or natural gas.
