According to Reuters, the former 64-year-old Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak appeared in Malaysian court on Wednesday to face charges linked to embezzlement of millions of dollars of public money.
Najib Razak was reportedly charged with three counts of criminal breach of trust and one count of using his position for gratification as part of a probe into missing money from state fund 1MDB. Each charge carries reportedly a penalty of up to 20 years in Jail.
Najib Razak pleaded not guilty to the charges, has denied wrongdoing.
