Ring doorbell cam captures homeowner thwarting fake delivery driver’s armed robbery attempt
Criminals are as brazen as ever when it comes to preying on society, so much so that you may not be safe even when at home behind closed doors. | While there seems to be a growing trend of scam artists knocking on front doors to bamboozle the unsuspecting out of their money by taking advantage of their kindness, it’s rare that an armed robber is so bold as to come knocking. But that’s exactly what happened last week in East Haven, Connecticut, and it was all captured on a Ring doorbell camera. Making matters even more terrifying, the crook pretended to be a delivery driver when he knocked on the door while holding a bogus package. But for the quick reaction by the owner, it’s difficult to say what might have happened next. VIDEO
