Bernie Sanders says crisis in Gaza worse than what happened in Dresden in World War II | Democratic Senator Bernie Sanders has said that the humanitarian crisis unfolding in Gaza is “worse” than what happened in Dresden, Germany, in World War II. Sanders added in a statement reported by the American newspaper “The Hill” on Sunday, 💬 “If you use the word Dresden, Germany, you are thinking of the horrific destruction that city suffered during World War II... and what is happening in Gaza now in three months is worse than what happened.” "In Dresden in two years, this is a disaster." He added "Therefore, my point of view from the beginning was that Israel does not have the right to wage war against an entire people, and the US Congress must take action because much of this destruction is occurring with military weapons provided by the United States of America." He continued "In my opinion, this is definitely not the case. We have a horrific humanitarian catastrophe and we cannot turn our backs on it. Congress must start taking action to protect children in Palestine."
