Robert F. Kennedy Jr., President Donald Trump’s nominee to head the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has called Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) out to his face for “accepting millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry.” During a heated line of questioning at his Senate confirmation hearing on Thursday, Kennedy accused Sanders and other senators of a conflict of interest regarding pharmaceutical companies. Kennedy made the remarks while testifying before the Senate Committee on Health. During the hearing, RFK Jr. called out senators on the panel for criticizing him while at the same time taking donations from pharmaceutical companies.
