Control of the U.S. House of Representatives hinged on Monday on several tight races that could secure a majority for Republicans following midterm elections that saw President Joe Biden's Democrats beat expectations and retain the Senate. | Republicans were closer to winning the House, having secured 211 seats compared to Democrats' 206, with 218 needed for a majority. But the final outcome might not be known for days as officials continue counting ballots nearly a week after Americans went to the polls. ● Democrats portrayed their better-than-expected performance as vindication of their agenda and a rebuke of Republican efforts to undermine the validity of election results. ● Other high-profile uncalled races include the Arizona governor contest, in which Republican Kari Lake, who promoted former President Donald Trump's baseless 2020 election fraud claims, was trailing her Democratic opponent. ● There are still some 18 outstanding House races, including 13 considered closely competitive, according to a Reuters compilation of the leading nonpartisan forecasters. Ten of the remaining contests were in liberal-leaning California. ● A Republican victory in the House would set the stage for two years of divided government while giving Biden's opponents the power to limit his political agenda and launch potentially damaging probes into his administration and family. Jim Banks, a Republican congressman from Indiana, said he expects his party to win a slim majority in the 435-seat chamber and serve as "the last line of defense to block the Biden agenda," while launching probes into the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the origin of COVID and pandemic lockdowns. ● Even if Republicans win a narrow majority in the House, Democrats' performance suggests they had success in portraying their opponents as extremists, pointing in part to the Supreme Court's decision to eliminate a nationwide right to abortion following conservative appointments to the bench.
Just Like WTC7 On 9/11: A historic hotel that had long decorated the Miami Beach skyline was imploded Sunday morning after it had fallen into disrepair. The Deauville Beach Resort was designed by architect Melvin Grossman in 1957 and was named the "Hotel of the Year" after its opening, according to its website. ● It is famous for hosting The Beatles' performance on the Ed Sullivan Show in February 1964, making it a favorite among Hollywood elite such as Mickey Rooney, Joan Rivers, Judy Garland and even presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan. ● The implosion began shortly after 8 a.m., temporarily closing streets in the area as the building came down, WFOR-TV reported. The demolition was conducted by contractor BG Group LLC. It came after voters in Miami Beach rejected a ballot question during the 2022 midterm elections to change a zoning regulation at the site to allow Stephen Ross, the billionaire owner of the Miami Dolphins, to build a luxury condo tower, the Miami Herald reported. The latest developments in NATO’s proxy war against Russia were once again accompanied by a wave of footage revealing the Nazi proclivities of an alarming number of Ukrainian soldiers. | The Kiev regime is sparking outrage once again as videos of Ukrainian militants wearing Nazi paraphernalia are surfacing once again as pro-Kiev militants stream into the Kherson. ● Ukrainian forces began publishing propaganda celebrating their arrival in Kherson on Friday, after entering the city with minimal resistance following last week’s announcement of the tactical withdrawal of Russian-aligned forces. ● In the days since, the videos have taken a darker turn, with footage now showing residents accused of “collaboration” being bound, gagged, and blinded by Ukrainian troops. As the violent tactics unleashed by Ukrainian troops on the civilian population escalate, so does the public scrutiny of the ideology of many of the city's new occupiers, and even a cursory glance reveals an unnerving fixation with Nazism.

From pogrom-mongers to Hitlerites to radical Islamists, the US has collaborated with repugnant partners for more than a century | Soviet leader Joseph Stalin was furious when he found out in March 1945 that his supposed World War II ally, Washington, was negotiating with the German Nazis behind his back. In fact, by the accounts of some historians, American spy and future CIA director Allen Dulles essentially kicked off the Cold War when he held secret talks with Waffen SS General Karl Wolff as Hitler's regime was nearing its collapse. ● Stalin, US President Franklin Roosevelt, and UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill had agreed that they would accept only unconditional surrender from the Nazis because of the Hitler regime’s monstrous crimes. When the Dulles-Wolff talks came to light, FDR repeatedly and falsely told Stalin that no one was negotiating with the Germans. The Georgian generalissimo was unconvinced and suspected that his Western allies were maneuvering to contain the USSR and occupy territory that might otherwise fall to the Red Army. ● The Soviets had reason to be suspicious. Some in Washington, including Dulles, viewed the USSR as America’s biggest long-term threat even as the countries worked together to defeat Germany.
Pope Francis also recently called for a ‘new economic system’ | The World Economic Forum’s climate change agenda was “modeled” off the effort to roll out vaccines during the Covid pandemic, John Kerry said during a COP27 panel discussion in Egypt on Tuesday. That means we can all look forward to high-pressure, coercive government tactics, and not only from the government but from corporate elites. [...] So by purposely drying up the food supply, paying farmers not to produce, forcing them to drastically reduce the use of fertilizers, making them cull their herds of livestock and replace that protein in the human diet with crickets and other insects, this is somehow going to be more “sustainable” and feed more people? This is the World Economic Forum/United Nations agenda that Pope Francis promotes, so don’t believe him when he says he’s for a more equitable, sustainable, peaceful world. This pope is a deceiver. John Kerry is a deceiver. They talk about climate change in a context that makes people think they’re trying to benefit humanity. But when you lift the veneer of rhetorical altruism, what you find is an extremely anti-human line of policies that support the greater U.N. depopulation agenda. According to the Independent Sentinel, Francis “wants the UN – the dictator’s club – to lead the world with this new system that sounds a lot like the World Economic Forum’s system.”
Moon of Alabama | I have been in awe this week about the stupidity of the people who had invested in the crypto-'exchange' FTX. I am likewise in awe that anyone would have 'parked' their 'money' in an account of that unregulated entity. How stupid can one be? Crypto 'currencies' have no real purpose. They ain't money. Their value solely depends on the trust people have in them. When the trust vanishes their values go to zero. ● Its one big swamp. Its purpose here was to steal money from those little guys who are prone to fall for such schemes. This whole crypto stuff was always bad.

Democrats have narrowly managed to maintain control of the Senate following a tight midterm race. | On Saturday Democratic Senator Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada managed to win her campaign for reelection---which was challenged by Republican Adam Laxalt---securing 50 seats and therefore an effective majority for the party. ● On Saturday the United States Democratic Party was able to keep control of the Senate, defeating Republicans in the midterm elections. The win is not only surprising given the challenges the party faced among voters such as inflation, fearful perceptions of rising crime, and the threat of an economic recession, but because historically, the party in power almost always loses control in Congress during midterm elections.

Video has emerged of trainloads of NATO armor and other military gear moving through Poland, toward the Russia enclave of Kaliningrad. | The video, below, shows one of the trains moving through Gdynia, Poland. Each day, NATO moves more and more military gear either toward Russia or Ukraine, and toward the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad. It doesn't stop. ● Today, the Russian Ministry of Defense ORDERED manufacturers to DOUBLE the production of hypersonic missiles. It won't stop unless or until citizens in NATO countries, get their governments back under control -- and fast -- or else World War 3 is on the menu.
Phoenix police say there was no substance found inside a suspicious envelope sent to Kari Lake's campaign headquarters last week. | Authorities did not discover any substance in the "suspicious" items mailed to Arizona GOP gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake's campaign headquarters. This comes after Lake's campaign alleged last week that a staffer was exposed to a "suspicious" white powdery substance sent in an envelope to her office. Phoenix Police said Friday that an investigation and laboratory test confirmed there was no substance in the envelope.

It’s not here yet, by most accounting, but we’re within spitting distance of spending $1 trillion annually on the U.S. military. This might actually be a good thing, if more spending made us safer. But it doesn’t. It only makes us feel safer, which is a devil’s bargain. | The Senate version of the 2023 defense authorization act earmarks $857 billion (PDF) for national defense. The slackers in the House only want $850 billion (PDF), which may be why it’s known as the “lower house.” Both bills are well beyond President Biden’s $813 billion request. Differences between the two versions will be ironed out in the coming weeks, but the bottom line is that the Pentagon is bound to break the trillion-dollar barrier relatively soon. ● Estimates of when U.S. defense spending will top $1 trillion range from next year to 2027 to 2030 depending on gobs of variables. Toss in elements like homeland security and the Pentagon’s share of interest paid on the national debt — as Mandy Smithberger, the former director of the Center for Defense Information here at the Project On Government Oversight has done — and a case can be made that the nation crossed that $1 trillion threshold five years ago.
[First published April 10] Minnesota State Senator Scott Jensen appeared on a local news show to report that doctors were receiving instructions from the Minnesota Department of Health to report Covid19 as a cause of death, even if the patient was never tested. | Senator Jensen, who is also a practising physician, said he had never before in his thirty-five-year career received specific instructions on how to fill out a death certificate. ● The apparent policy of Minnesota – to report any and all pneumonia or “flu-like illness” decedents as Covid19 cases, with or without a test – ties in with the US policy as described by the CDC’s official memos. ● In fact the governments of Italy, Germany, the UK and Austria all doing the same thing. ● So, while Dr Jensen’s revelation isn’t as shocking as it would have been just 10 days ago, it does at least demonstrate that, within the medical world, these guidelines are not normal. In a separate interview with Lauran Ingraham, Jensen described the guidelines as “ridiculous”. According to Jensen, citing a colleague, it is not usual practice to ever put “presumptions or probabilities” on a death certificate, but rather to “stick to the facts”. The question still hangs in the air: Why do national and regional governments appear to be going out of their way to inflate the Covid19 death statistics?

On Friday, FTX, facing a cash shortfall of US$8 billion and scrambling to drum up money, filed for bankruptcy. | Mr Bankman-Fried resigned as chief executive. The Justice Department and the Securities and Exchange Commission are examining whether FTX improperly used customer funds to prop up a separate trading firm, Alameda Research, which Mr Bankman-Fried also founded. ● FTX’s list of investors spans powerful and well-known investment firms: NEA, IVP, Iconiq Capital, Third Point Ventures, Tiger Global, Altimeter Capital Management, Lux Capital, Mayfield, Insight Partners, Sequoia Capital, SoftBank, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Ribbit Capital, Temasek, BlackRock and Thoma Bravo. ● Four FTX investors, who declined to be identified, said they were shocked by the company’s sudden collapse. They said they properly researched the company’s financials, which showed a healthy, growing business that provided an easy-to-use platform for people to buy, sell and store crypto. And they were completely in the dark about FTX’s possible self-dealing with Alameda.

The wreckage was accidentally found by a film crew looking for World War II aircraft. | NASA has confirmed that the wreckage of the Space Shuttle Challenger was discovered off the east coast of Florida, which in 1986 exploded less than two minutes after launch and killed seven people on board, reports The Guardian ● Divers found a fragment in the sand and, since the site was close to the NASA spaceport, contacted the agency. “Though it has been nearly 37 years since seven brave explorers died aboard the Challenger, this tragedy will forever remain in our nation's collective memory”, - NASA Administrator Bill Nelson said in a statement. “For millions of people around the world, myself included, January 28, 1986 still feels like yesterday.”
Unfortunately, this country is headed for a horrible outcome. No self-governing society can suffer the strain to civil society that comes from loss of regime credibility. This overt and actual illegal censorship, in violation of the First Amendment, must be brought to a halt. How that takes place, really doesn't matter anymore. | The US Department of Homeland Security is actively engaged in the deprivation of American's constitutionally protected free speech rights. They are using our own tax money to strip away our rights. ● Last week, The Intercept published a set of leaks that drew broad interest in perhaps the most under-covered scandal inside the US government today: the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) quiet move to establish, for the first time in US history, an explicitly inward-facing domestic censorship bureau. ● What The Intercept glimpsed, however, is just the tip of a much larger iceberg.

Former US national security advisor John Bolton joked about the First Amendment as a protesting journalist was detained for accusing him of lying about weapons of mass destruction and “covering up war crimes in Afghanistan.” | Bolton’s speech at an Institute for Policy Innovation conference in Texas on Thursday was interrupted by journalist Tayler Hansen, who stood up and accused the long-time war-hawk of lying about Iraq possessing weapons of mass destruction prior to the 2003 US invasion. 💬 “You essentially genocided the Iraqi people,” Hansen shouted at Bolton. “And you covered up war crimes in Afghanistan, sir.” “Why did you celebrate the arrest of Julian Assange?” Hansen continued. “Why do you think that’s acceptable, sir? Is celebrating war crimes acceptable?” ● Hansen was handcuffed and led to a parking garage before being set free. 💬 “Most notable people that work in the National Security Apparatus are psychopathic criminals with no moral compass,” he wrote in a tweet on Friday. “I’m not sure what ‘National Security’ has to do with it, but there is definitely a pattern.”

What’s the point of voting under a system operating as follows:
■ When elections are stolen with electronic ease.
■ When mail-in ballots for candidate A go to candidate B — enough to delegitimize election results.
■ When hegemon USA is a one-party state with 2 right wings.
■ When both wings enforce a permanent state of war on invented enemies threatening no one.
■ When so-called “rules-based order” flagrantly breaches the rule of law at home and worldwide.
■ When self-styled master of the universe USA is at war on the great majority of Americans.
Count the ways:
■ By kill shots designed to irreparably hard and shorten the lifespans of everyone getting them.
■ By eroding human and civil rights ahead of eliminating them altogether in favor of police state rule.
■ By governance of, by and for privileged interests exclusively at the expense of the general welfare.
■ By the following indisputable reality:
● If elections achieved positive change, they’d be officially banned.
● Grand theft by undemocratic Dems defined Election 2020 — what’s indisputable.
● What’s known about midterms showed a similar pattern.
● What should have been a slam-dunk red wave sweep of House and Senate races didn’t turn out this way.
Three-fourths of Americans believe things are heading in the wrong direction. The worst of it lies ahead, what’s highly likely to be clear in 2023. And all of the above is happening at a time when dominant Biden regime hardliners support Nazi-infested Ukraine. A state of US-launched war exists between hegemon USA-dominated NATO and Russia. The extremist Biden regime is the most recklessly dangerous one in US history. Dem hardliners infesting Washington risk global war in pursuit of their diabolical aims. And domestically, they serve privileged interests exclusively at the expense of the general welfare they don’t give a damn about. Are Republicans the preferred option? When the choice is between death by hanging or firing squad, we’re dead either way.

Ex-US President Donald Trump has lashed out at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, as the simmering rivalry between the two top Republicans boiled over. | Mr Trump belittled his former political apprentice as an "average" governor, lacking in "loyalty". ● Mr DeSantis, 44, won re-election in a landslide in Tuesday's midterms, sealing his status as the Republican party's brightest rising star. He is widely expected to run for the party's 2024 White House nomination. But Mr Trump, 76, looks increasingly likely to stand in his way. ● The former president - who has a massive campaign war chest and remains hugely popular with the party's base - would be a formidable opponent for Mr DeSantis, or any other Republican who dares challenge him.

Maria Sacharova / MFA Russia | Former US President George W. Bush will hold his first public meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski. The politicians will chat online. The event will take place next week in order to reiterate the importance of continued US support for Ukraine, the George W. Bush Institute has clarified. In this context, it brings to mind a recent fake by The Insider, in which the grief-stricken authors were dovishly speculating that George W. Bush was not part of the American establishment. How was it, "one of the most unpopular presidents in US history"? We found the foreign agents' idea that George W. Bush was a nobody fresh and interesting at the time. US President Joe Biden will arrive at the COP27 conference on Friday where delegates expect him to try to pump up global ambition to fight climate change. | His visit is the first stop in a packed week-long trip to grapple with some of the United States' thorniest foreign policy issues. ● Biden's speech in Sharm El-Sheikh will remind countries to stay focused on the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. He will also discuss the importance of public-private partnership and detail US efforts to decarbonise and lower methane emissions. ● Anti-government protests that will take aim at Egypt's deteriorating economic and human rights situations are planned for Friday. Egyptian security forces have detained scores of activists in the lead-up to the demonstrations.
A federal judge in Texas on Thursday ruled that President Joe Biden's plan to cancel hundreds of billions of dollars in student loan debt was unlawful and must be vacated, delivering a victory to conservative opponents of the program. | US District Judge Mark Pittman, an appointee of former Republican President Donald Trump in Fort Worth, called the program an “unconstitutional exercise of Congress's legislative power” as he ruled in favour of two borrowers backed by a conservative advocacy group. ● The debt relief plan had already been temporarily blocked by the St. Louis-based eighth US Circuit Court of Appeals while it considers a request by six Republican-led states to enjoin it while they appealed the dismissal of their own lawsuit. The judge's ruling came in a lawsuit by two borrowers who were partially or fully ineligible for the loan forgiveness Biden's plan offered. The plaintiffs argued it did not follow proper rule making processes and was unlawful. The borrowers were backed by the Job Creators Network Foundation, a conservative advocacy group founded by Bernie Marcus, a co-founder of Home Depot. ● The US Justice Department promptly moved to appeal the ruling. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in a statement the administration strongly disagreed with the decision.
