A former FBI agent pleaded guilty to theft after stealing from several Houston residents while executing search warrants. Former FBI agent Nicholas Anthony Williams, who worked as an FBI special agent in Houston since 2019, has been convicted of theft and providing false statements. One Houston resident who Williams stole from was Alexander Fan, who was previously sent to one year of probation after climbing into the Capitol through a broken window. After Williams and several other agents executed a search warrant at Fan’s residence, he filed a complaint that his silver and cash were missing.

Winter migrant surge boosts 2024 counts in Chicago and other cities. The number of homeless people in the U.S. continues to grow, putting the country on pace to hit yet another record high this year. Counts from encampments, streets, and shelters are largely higher than they were in 2023, according to preliminary data collected and reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. The numbers come from more than 250 homeless-service organizations covering cities, metro areas and vast rural areas. They are meant to reflect homelessness as it existed on a single night early this year. The Journal’s count includes about 550,000 homeless people so far, up about 10% from what these places reported last year.

There are plenty of signs that the U.S. is already a failed state of dictatorship, poverty and violence – albeit one that sports the biggest number of billionaires and supposedly the largest military power in the world. That dichotomy is not a weird aberration. It is central to why the United States of America is a failed state.

Even in the majority-Muslim places like Malaysia or Indonesia, one frequently encounters what are obviously gays; you could pick them out of a crowd like neon Where’s Waldos. No one cares. They go about their lives looking super-gay, swishing their hips and flapping their limp wrists, and no one bothers them unless they cause problems — like, for instance, demanding society entirely reorganize itself and upend its institutions to accommodate them as they do with impunity in the West.

Even though no NATO country has come under Russian attack, the former has still declared war on Russia. Although they officially said that no formal decision had been made, it is quite evident, at least to Russian authorities, that the decision has already been made and communicated to Ukraine. Long-range missiles, like all other weapon systems worth more than US$100 billion supplied thus far, are on their way and will be available for active deployment by the end of 2024. In fact, the UK has already supplied a long-range air-launched cruise missile, Storm Shadow, to Ukraine. If they are used, this will surely be the biggest military escalation in Europe since the end of the Second World War.
