On Thursday afternoon, Dec. 3, 2009, advocates for social justice held a rally in front of the White House. The event was sponsored by the “Bail Out the People Movement,” a national organization, see: http://www.bailoutpeople.org/ One of the speakers was the Rev. Graylan Hagler, a longtime fighter for peace and justice. He said: “Let’s build a world filled with justice...We need to push and shove to make people do what is right...If we can reward the banks, then we can surely reward the workers in this country.” Rev. Hagler strongly objected to President Barack Obama’s plan to send 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan. He added that everyone is entitled to the “dignity of a job with a future...We need a gigantic jobs program once again in this country that puts everyone to work.” For background on Rev. Hagler, go to: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graylan_Hagler
