On Sunday afternoon, July 11, 2010, Maria Allwine, a peace and social justice activist, discussed why she is running for Governor of Maryland. Ms. Allwine is member of the Green Party. Her remarks were made before a meeting of the Baltimore chapter of the party. If Ms. Allwine gets the Green Party nomination in the state, she will be on the ballot in the General Election, which is set for November 4, 2010.
