As soon as December 13, the President will sign NDAA Section 1031 into law, permitting citizen imprisonment without evidence or trial. The bill that passed Congress absolutely DOES NOT exempt citizens. The text of Section 1031 reads, "A covered person under this section" includes "any person who has committed a belligerent act". We only have to be ACCUSED, because we don't get a trial.
- Confusingly, Obama threatened a veto for 1032, but NOT 1031. 1032 is UNRELATED to imprisoning citizens without a trial. He has never suggested using a veto to stop Section 1031 citizen imprisonment -- in fact, it was requested by the Obama administration. Watch the video for proof.
American anti-corporate Occupy protesters are being allowed back into a New Orleans park, after getting permission from a federal judge. A lawmaker has already called for an investigation into claims of police misconduct in dealing with activists. The movement shows no sign of dying down across America, with thousands demonstrating nearly three months after the first protests in New York. The heavy police presence isn't being scaled back either, as Marina Portnaya reports.
The Euro's future has been dealt a severe blow at eleventh hour talks in Brussels, as the UK and Hungary refused to sign up to new EU treaties. Marathon overnight talks left the core Eurozone states making further agreements, while other European countries join in to work out budget rules and changes.
An analyst informs that the US has its army on standby against the Occupy and student movement as the economic situation in America deteriorates day by day.
Rodney Shakespeare: The authorities though are getting nervous and even vicious toward the protesters. The army is being readied to move in. A law will allow the US government to disappear anybody - there's fascism for you. They may censor the internet; and there are demands for war to hide the true situation.
And the reason for all this is in fact the overall economic situation. If you start with Europe where the Euro could be weeks even days away from collapse, that could result with the sovereign debt of Europe being defaulted. That will mean billions even trillion of payments by the USA banks, which hold the derivatives or the insurance. But they don't have the money to pay.
Recently the Bank of America moved 70 trillion - that's 70 trillion dollars worth of derivatives to a Bank of America commercial holding company, which is government insured. Now, 70 trillion is larger than the global economy.
So if you put it all together the USA is getting very very nervous that the whole thing is about to blow up and of course at that point the protests and demonstrations in the USA will multiply by a factor of perhaps three or five and they are getting ready to go in with a fascist suppression.
The protesters are actually representing not just deep unease, but the nasty reality of 20 percent unemployment overall with a 40 percent unemployment amongst youth groups, blacks and Hispanics - As for the homelessness, it is hidden. Homelessness is now out in the woodlands and scrublands away from general perception, but it is rising very fast as is also the number of people who are on food stamps.
So it is not just a question of the courage of the protesters - and they are being brave - it's that the situation is deteriorating very rapidly. And the authorities can see that not only the nitty gritty detail of the population is getting worse, but they can see that the overall banking collapse is getting worse. So one way or another the authorities are showing signs of vicious as a prelude to what will be panic. And I'm afraid with panic will come irresponsible violence.
"It's fascism pure and simple lets end this facade of democracy."
Why is the American establishment media sanitizing reality? The December 5th, 2011 cover of Time Magazine represents a disturbing truth: the American corporate-controlled establishment media presents a picture of the world that is meant to placate and pacify the people of the United States in favor of presenting reality as it is. While the covers of the European, Asian, and South Pacific editions have an image of chaos in the streets in Egypt with “Revolution Redux” in bold white letters in the center, the American edition is a cartoon with the headline “Why Anxiety is Good for You.” Is this just a meaningless marketing tactic or does it exemplify the greater trend in how the American corporate media presents the world to the people of the United States? I tend towards the latter, given the fact that this is something that is inescapable when consuming media marketed to people in the United States. http://newamerica-now.blogspot.com/2011/12/why-is-american-establishment-media.html
The person essentially in charge of Europe's purse strings says there is no easy fix to the Eurozone's debt crisis and finding a solution will take years. German Chancellor Angela Merkel said the region needs a new financial union with stronger controls and debt regulations. Economic analyst Michael Mross, says he agrees with the EU monetary chief, who warned the Eurozone is running out of time to tackle its debt.

Moscow has accused the west of stirring up tensions in the Arab world by calling for the overthrow of the Syrian regime. Russia says calls from certain states for the Syrian opposition to avoid dialogue with the government, are only provoking further violence. Author and journalist Webster Tarpley, who's in Damascus, says, it's very simple, western powers are behind the violence in Syria.
