Former U.S. Diplomat and U.S. Army/Army Reserve veteran, Ann Wright, a retired Colonel, spoke on June 16, 2010, at the Potter’s House restaurant in Washington, D.C. Col. Wright was on one of the vessels in the Gaza Freedom Flotilla, when it was attacked, on May 31, 2010, by the Israeli military, in international waters, in the Mediterranean Sea. She shared her strong feeing about that blood stained event. Col. Wright sharply blamed the Israelis for the deadly assault on unarmed civilians and also criticized the U.S. State Department for its “wimpy” response to the affair. On Saturday afternoon, June 12, 2010, Brian Becker spoke at an event in West Baltimore, sponsored by the Party for Socialism and Liberation. It was held at the “Peace and a Cup of Joe” coffee shop. Activist Crystal Kim introduced Mr. Becker. He is the National Coordinator of the ANSWER Coalition. His remarks initially focused on the Israelis’ lethal military assault, in international waters, on May 31, 2010, on the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. Then, Mr. Becker gave a broader, historical overview of the U.S./Israeli relationship, and its impact on Occupied Palestine, particularly Gaza.
